Nice bracket Del! You need a tig welder! I have a tig welder I'm not too good with yet, but a nice little bead from tig welding would look good on this. I made a similar bracket for my little GS400 exhaust. I mig welded it also. it doesn't look bad but tig welding it would have put it over the top. Wish you were close, I would powder coat that for you. Another good project my friend.

Hi Scott.. Thanks for your kind words mate.. Those are just regular Gedore step spanners (box wrenches as you call them), and they work perfectly for bending the steel in a specific place, gives you a very accurate bend exactly where you want it.
Never mind the hanger, you do realise that pipe is going to sound awesome??? Mega!!! Don't park it near your bus, Del, it will blow the advertising off the side of it when you start the bike up!!!😂

(sorry) Not knowing the Busa or it's vibes, I'd be tempted to make yon silencer bolt point a rubberised jobby of some kind, lest any high frequency vibes from the 'Canbelto-fancy-can' yodel up your nicely rigid mount & tell the frame it's now a tuning fork. As it's not a bouncy-mounted Harley lump, you're likely fine & dandy, but if your nipples DO start to buzz at some point as you're wafting up through the rev range, just pull over, phone Penny & tell her you need to order more rubbers, who knows, she might even understand : ) x
All very nice but let down by the manufacturers slotted bracket on the otherwise lovely reverse cone mega. That eyesore really spoils it for me. Any cunning plan to improve it?

Respectfully Joe, i have the disc on right..on flat discs the metal ring faces out so it acts as a washer against the securing nut, regardless of what side the label is on, and in any discs ive used, the label is always on the same side as the metal ring.! and ive never seen a direction arrow on a slitting disc..!

Hey there! I have a quick question(although irrelevant to the subject of the video if i'm honest). can you do a 4-lug to 5-lug conversion on the rear wheel of a single-sided swingarm motorcycle?
That would depend on a wide range of factors, in simple theory anything can be done, it just depends on your ability to do those things... you may have to transplant the entire swing arm, work out the geometry, chain run, suspension linkage, and make it fit the frame gap, its a little too involved to give a single word answer.. other then "Yes, if you are capable of making that conversion" ..! Hope that helps you out.

Why, oh why do we not teach stuff like this in schools? This is 21st century problem solving in action. We should be encouraging young minds to think like this and teaching them the skills to do it. (Rant over, from a Maths teacher).

I was lucky enough (because I'm old enough!) to have had 'metalwork' be a bone fide and big part of my school curriculum as a kid, it was two lessons a week for a whole afternoon each time, and we were introduced to every aspect of metalwork, from basic machining to forging and, of course, basic hand fabricating, even down to simple things like the correct use of a hacksaw and file... I do pity the young people of today for not having this opportunity available to them, these skills have served me my whole life.... my metalwork teacher was a semi-retired blacksmith and farrier who smelt of 'Old Holborn' and burnt metal! Happy days I will never forget.
hi delboy i followed your vid on changing fork seals and when i had everything back together and noticed one side fork is about a 1/16 of an inch higher than the other fork. test drove it and everything was fine so is that 1/16 gonna matter or should i level the forks so each side is the same height
No mate, you should level them, not because it has a drastic effect on handling at a mere 1/16th of an inch, 1/2" would make a difference, but not that small amount, however if you are bothered about it enough to ask me, then it will not stop bothering you, so just sort it out and then forget it mate and it won't bother you again. Good luck with it and keep safe.
