I got to know the refreshed Ford Focus right away from the high C - I got the ST version for a few days. The 280 HP 2.3 EcoBoost engine can be economical, but the driver does not often feel like driving a drop. Why, if this car is so fantastic to drive, turns into gear, sounds and gives a lot of fun ?!
I had a version with a manual 6-speed gearbox at my disposal, which I guess was tired because it was making some disturbing noises. This type is like that? I doubt it. Either way, gear changes are always precise, and between gases in S-mode is a lot of satisfaction. Would I prefer a variation with a 10-speed automatic? I do not know, because in the case of the Mustang this machine irritated me quite often. Every day, for normal driving, probably yes, but for normal driving I would choose a Focus with a 1.5 engine, not the top ST version.
