Yes and no. You can have an electronic/virtual version of your TAP card on your phone, but it's not connected to a debit or credit card. You have to load money onto your TAP card account separately.
Thats some heavy duty metal to hold up a cushin. Almost looks like it can be converted into a jail bus just put a sticker so citizens dont see us shackled to the overhead bar
Thanks!!! My son is gonna start using the bus, instead of walking home. Just wanted to see how simple it easy for him
🙂👍
they get free wifi on buses.
K-12 and Community College students can ride LA Metro for free.
I hate tap things it is germs. MetroCard is cool since it is like a quick vending machine and no touching.
I recommend getting a bus pass if you want to travel anywhere you want around the city
Can i pay cash
Yes, of course, but they won’t give you change.
True tho😢

Is it a new thing in america? I don't know much about that. Hope anyone can tell me it is or not.
No, this is not new. Just pay with a card purchased in the metro, valid for a week.
LA Metro has had their TAP card for 12 years. The card costs $2 and you can load whatever amount you want on it.
is that something like bank debit/credit card or something different?
I bought the card in the metro, it’s valid for a week, in my opinion it’s $33, I traveled both in the metro and on buses
It cost 20 bucks for an entire month back in the 90s. It didn't scan, though; I had to buy an MTA sticker.

Yeah it’s heavy duty because Americans are heavy and you don’t want t seat to break or the city will get sued. Not everything is a conspiracy
