“Iccumilate”
5:21 striking out ichiro is almost as impressive as the immaculate inning itself
It's funny how the announcers do not realize it while its happening
One guy called it near the end
Good call I tried making it a point to see how many caught on
I think some do but maybe don’t wanna really jinx it or get ahead of themselves
It’s a shame that immaculate innings are talked about so little that commentators often don’t even seem to think to keep track of it...but they’re actually three times rarer than a no-hitter. There have been 304 recorded no-hitters in MLB history, and exactly 100 immaculate innings.
Except they always keep track of it and this is totally false
1:39 look at Scherzer say, "changeup" and then throw a changeup to strike him out.
Jake Ohanian well he is the closest to Nolan Ryan in the nl
The ones where bat doesn’t even touch ball are so satisfying. Just two guys playing catch.
Astros threw TWO immaculate innings. In the same game. To the same three batters.
What a showcase of talent! Can't wait until this season starts!!!!
At age 38 with a shot shoulder and throwing nothing but junk I was one out h away from an immaculate inning in the Swedish baseball league. That 9th pitch... Hit the batter square in the back. Lol
I miss the old YES layout from the Yankees vs Marlins game
How do the commentators never seem to notice this is happening? Immaculate innings are rarer than perfect games for God's sake!
No they’re not. There’s been 94 pitchers who have achieved an immaculate inning (while seven pitchers have achieved the feat more than once in their career). Perfect games have only been achieved by 23 pitchers (21 of those have accomplished the feat in the modern era). A rarer achievement than both, however, is a 20 strikeout game (only four pitchers ever have accomplished the feat, with Roger Clemens being the first - and second, achieving each a decade apart in his career - Kerry Wood, Randy Johnson, and Max Scherzer all being members of the 20K club).
Great video man, big ups from Texas.
How bout Catchers getting hit in the nuts. love your channel btw
ruclips.net/video/1UdNaaT5SqE/видео.html part 1
ruclips.net/video/mWLNAh0ng4w/видео.html part 2
WesleyAPEX oh okay my bad I’ve been watching for a while just totally forgot
12:56 and that's what we call a landslide cutting edge defeat
Can you do ichiros career highlights next please
i don’t think a lot of these announcers don’t realize an immaculate inning just happened, something that has only been done 96 times in baseball history
What's even more impressive is 9 strikes with no foul balls.
I dont think there is any pitcher more intimidating than Randy Johnson.....maybe Nolan
Bob Gibson
Immaculate innings are as rarer than no-hitters. They should be celebrated more. A three pitch inning is also called "immaculate." I'd like to see a video of those.
Betances was straight up untouched. Truly immaculate. Hernandez too. Filth
Love this channel
I always look these types of videos up knowing Brewers players have done it before and always watch the whole thing without seeing what I'm looking for
Came here to comment this, but you did it for me
I remember watching George Brett slide into the dugout trying to catch a foul popup in the 1985 World Series, but I had no idea until now that that was part of an immaculate inning by Danny Jackson. WILD!
Another cool video would be pitchers retiring the side on 3 pitches. Aroldis Chapman did that once during his brief stint with the Cubs. EDIT: I see you've done this already. ruclips.net/video/d8m22fNp6IQ/видео.html Cool! 8)
I can't believe that siding attempt isn't on more highlight reels.
The bend at 11:47 is just insane
Dope!
You should do amazing postseason comebacks
If you do more Immaculate innings please do Jose Alvarado’s! This video physically hurt me as a Rays fan.
Best Plays / Home Runs against their former team
Amazing they don't make a bigger deal about it. For those who don't know, one immaculate inning is around 10x more rare than a perfect game, with the odds of achieving one being just shy of 20,000:1.
Ratio of no hitters to immaculate innings is about 3:1.
Yuh
That’d be funny if after the first strike of the inning the announcer goes “the pitcher is now 8 pitches away from an immaculate inning”
0:14 that ball sounded a lot like a gunshot.
You should do fans getting pissed off
I'm sorry but if you notice almost every single 0-2 pitch was out of the strike zone I know you want to protect the plate but most 0-2 pitches you should not swing at because good pitching coaches will tell you to not put a hittable ball on a 0-2
Add Haderade to the list!
Only two of the announcers here actually referred to this event as an immaculate inning. When was the term first used?
11:05 Is that Joe Buck I'm hearing? He actually sounds like a baseball commentator!
Yes, it is! Back when he still did local Cardinals games in between Fox broadcasts in the early 2000s. (Matter of fact, he started his broadcasting career on Cardinals radio & T.V. :))
9:40 I guess if you had to search for another first, how about an immaculate inning in which all three outs end with a throw to first.
where is kenley jansens immaculate inning to finish off the marlins in 2017 ? good vid btw
I was waiting for that one too...
"iccumilate"
"Iccumilate"
How about on the next video. A compilation of the best plays at shortstop.
Is nobody going to mention the thick strikeout keeper?
Lol. You must be desperate.
Idk why but Bradley cooper can play a movie about max scherzer
iccumilate? lol can you do grund rull dubblz and gram srams preez
Now do 3 Pitch Innings !!
OkayFine I've never seen a 3 pitch inning. Have you?
ruclips.net/video/d8m22fNp6IQ/видео.html
I wonder what it is called when you throw 9 strikes and they neevr even touch the ball?
3 pitch innings
ruclips.net/video/d8m22fNp6IQ/видео.html
Do times pitchers lost when they threw no hitters
Sandy Koufax has the most, hes the only person with 3
Also he got them within his 5 year 🐐 period
Update this with Will Harris!!
Garrett Richards???
3:00 yankee stadium that empty???
Woah... that curve for Burnett’s first K. Filthy
Is there enough 4-strikeout innings for a video?
Its happened 76 times in mlb history so a video should be possible. 5 strikeouts in one inning has happened at the minor league level.
These announcers don’t seem too thrilled. Immaculate innings are harder than they look.
Let's see 3 pitch innings
ruclips.net/video/d8m22fNp6IQ/видео.html
no jv?
Randys was the best imo cuz he got 300 too
Why am I getting excited calling a strike along with every pitch
Wheres bartolo calon 36 straight srikes
Calon? There is no Bartolo Calon in the MLB.
Has there ever been a 6 pitch inning
I always thought an immaculate inning was a 3 pitch one.
0:02 Iccumilate ? Wait what?
Could u do a MLB9Innings19 video
well, it's better than immaculate conception
Next do ichiro career highlights...and then don't allow it to be seen in japan....ooo the irony
kinda sad, immaculate innings are more rare than perfect games & almost no one notices to congratulate the pitcher
I was pitching in a game and had 12 strikeouts in 5 innings, so I think I had like 3 immaculate innings in the same game lol
Girls hitting home runs
Ryon Healy getting pissed of please?
off*
6:31 Sounds like Principal Skinner.
Do MLB power hitters getting robbed
"Iccumilate innings" wtf
Has there ever been a 3-pitch inning?
DizzyBurrito 1 yes😂
obviously there has been. If you took 3 seconds to look it up on this very website you're on then you would find videos of them....unbelievable.
I could do that
I was taught never throw an immaculate inning. 0-2 throw a fastball in the other batters box, high and in, change up in the dirt, curveball In the dirt. Never strike someone out on 3 pitches
METS IN 5
1st dislike
3 pitch innings
