Friend of mine just got a CK61 and LOVES IT. He sold me his Juno DS61 for 500 bucks here in Canada, which he found too complex, and I agree it can be a pain setting up some stuff on the DS. I love it, for 500 bucks (he barely used it). The sounds on the CK61 sound SO much better to me than the Juno DS. wow
Another KILLER feature: the ability per Part to ignore particular midi CCs! I have a Live Set for Billy Joel’s “Just The Way You Are”. I’m using baritone sax #1 on the CK61’s keyboard. The external sound of course is the phased Rhodes, played on my 88 key controller. But there’s that ‘ahhhh’ vocal sound that is played sometimes. First off, the CK does not AFAIK allow range limitation. The range of the ‘ahhh’ should be no more than Bb to F#, so only a couple of them play at a time. So I set up ‘ahhh’ voices on my Alesis QS7.1, which does allow range limits. But how to get it to be off or on where needed? You can’t do it with CC07, which is channel volume - that ends up controlling overall volume on every device on that midi channel. So on the QS7.1 I assigned a pedal to CC11, which is Expression. And then I set the Parts on the CK61 to ignore Expression! I can now fade the ‘ahhh’ in and out as needed without affecting anything else.
Thank u tony, you're the very first reason i started to get interested with this keyboard after bashing it for not having drum kits. It turns out i don't really need that and just need buy separate drum gears for more professional studio recording. I'm having a blast with CK88 and live sets. Even though i'm still a beginner player. Not really easily getting frustrated about menu diving so much just to get good sounds.
Tony... this is a really good demo! Thank you sir... I'm in the USA, so I probably will not be in one of your stores, but I appreciate you putting this nice video together!
Just ordered one today...just hope my pianistic skills are equal to the potential of this keyboard. But you've inspired me Tony and I'm up for the challenge.
Is it possible for ck88 to connect it to a Bluetooth speaker to listen to it through the Bluetooth speaker? Also can you use the drawbar faders with other sounds except organs?
There's a lot here. I like the rotating speaker effect on the organ. And the gradual transition between low speed and high speed. If I find the high speed "spins" too fast, is the effect adjustable?
hi recently I bought the CK 61 i love the mobility and sounds of it. I am having a hard time with the U1 sample. it feels like there is not enough polyphony to have the sound carrie through. when i blend 2 pianos the U1 starts cutting out abruptly. i have no effects apply at all and it does it. i though it could be a cutoff or other effects applied on the U1. but there is non i tried to trouble shoot and read the manual. i dont have a clear reasoning why it is happening. its A+ . I WISH it had seamless transition and the piano samples would not cut out when using more than one piano sound. is there a firmware update i need to upload into my board ?
Excuse me, for the Grand Piano could you please be so kind to give more details about sound setting ? Did you use compression, if so at what level ? Did you change the cut off and res, at what level ? Also, did you change the internal EQ, Bass, Mid and High and at what levels ? As I have this keyboard but it is extremely complicated to set it to have a good sound like yours, there are too many parameters. Thank you.
Really nice overview. I have the YC-88 and am considering this one, but one difference seems to be that the CK has only depth control for effects, whereas the YC has depth + rate (e.g. flanger speed). Is that correct?

Great video! Does it have short keys to keep the weight low just like the Casio pxs3000 and the Yamaha p225? Do you miss the resonance engine that the P225 has? Or can we just use a great VST that have nice resonance sampled in too? Being double sensor do u miss the 3rd sensor? Thank you
Does the Yamaha P-225 have short keys? I didn't know that, I think I never heard any video review mentioning it. On the other hand, plenty (if not most) of the Casio review videos mention the short keys and/or the inbalance between the white and the black keys weight.
Does this have any arranger features like rhythms and accompaniments? It doesn't need to be as sophisticated as a PSR-SX900, but some basic arranger features like my DGX-650 would be nice if I bought the CK88 to replace it. Or maybe I just want a PSR-SX600 to complement my DGX!

Tony, what a player you are, brilliant demonstration as usual!,

Brilliant demo thanks Tony. CK 88. got to love that keyboard 👍

What patch or settings are you using at 1:12 (Split: Keys and Lead)? I have the CK61 love it! Thank you, for this excellent demo!
I got the stage 4, I was looking at this for cost effectiveness.
I might still get the 61
Sir! Fabulous Review! Thank you ever so much! All the best to you and yours!
How does this compare with YC-73? I'm looking at both.
You didn't mention that if you don't have electricity source, it can rn on 1.5V batteries. Easily.
Thanks in large part to your excellent demo... my CK 88 arrives next Wednesday!! Thank you! Wish you were in the U.S. 😎🎹🎹🎹👍
Awesome demo. Love it. Thanks
I was playing one at Guitar Center and had to menu-dive to transpose the octave of my layer. Is there an easier way? Thanks.
Superb demo. Seriously considering the investment.
Are your sounds tweaked or are they straight from the default settings. Particularly the piano you started with.

Great demo Tony!
Does this have accompaniment styles like the DGX series? 😊
Tony next please play more Organ patches and EP on your Demo. Thanks
The 61 and 88 have different actions, an important primary difference.
right and these reviewers all lump both keyboards together without showing and telling us the difference. Its annoying.

73 weighted would be a no brainer

Thank you for your excellent demos. Now I'm really in doubt, whether to buy the DGX670 or the CK88. Thank you so much. 😄
If you are still not sure but you can spend the money definitely go with the ck 88 if you wanna play for a crowd
Where can I get that cymbal roll file? Great idea on that.
What about arp?
For the price of both keyboards, adrum kit would been nice
Usb sticj my own accimo backings can i play direct to keyboard speakers from computer to keyboard. Thanks man.
hi Tony,
can the volume sliders be held on screen for finer adjustment, they disappear too quickly

Ck73 for $1299. Make it happen Yamaha
I have the 88key version, it’s a breeze to use.
👏👏👏
