  • Scenes from the circa 1946 Fairbanks Winter Carnival include Alaska Native women in parkas, the Lavery's building and shops along Cushman Street, a parade with entries by Boy Scouts Troop 646, the highway patrol, Pioneer Women of Alaska, Pioneers of Alaska Igloo No. 4, Northern Commercial Company (NCC), Business and Professional Women's (BPW) Foundation, Apparel Shop, TVFA Co-op, Sprucehaven's First Truck, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE) 1551, support the new senior high school with model for proposed school building, USO, curlers, Pacific Alaska Airways (PAA), Junior Shop with girls in dog sled, person in robot costume driving a Caterpillar bulldozer, and the Lions Club (Color/Silent/16mm film).
