  • A ten-year old programming bug in the Linux sudo utility can allow a non-privileged Linux user to gain a root user command prompt. Thank you for watching this Linux Security Report, from the BeginLinux Guru.

Damn, what are the odds?!? Just building a Arch distro from scratch today. It’s from an few month old ISO I have cuz I don’t have a machine to get a new ISO and properly check the signatures on it. I was concerned about security vulnerabilities I over looked(introduced myself 😬), so I wiped all the drives. In the process of building it as I type.

So even if my Arch ISO is a little old, when I “pacstrap” install base, linux and the rest..... the patch should be included tonight?
