The video entitled "Use of the Neubauer chamber in the laboratory for blood cell counting" has been incorporated into the Medical Physiology I practicals of the Bachelor's Degree in Medicine since the 2019-20 academic year. It shows how to count blood cells (RCS) and how to calculate their concentration in the sample analysed. This video was made thanks to the award of a teaching innovation project whose main objective was the incorporation of multimedia material into the laboratory to help students become familiar with the concepts of the practice, the material and the technique used and improve both understanding and learning of the practice. The video was recorded in Spanish and has been very well received by the students and currently has more than 24,000 views on the internet. Furthermore, it should be added that during the 2019-20 academic year its use was very useful for the adaptation of the practice to the virtual mode due to the exceptional circumstances that we suffered due to COVID-19. For all these reasons, we intend to continue using the video during the 2021-22 academic year, including two improvements: expanding its content by showing how to determine the leukocyte formula, and translating its content into Valencian and English. This would make it possible, on the one hand, to offer all the content taught in the classroom practice and, on the other, to cover the demands of the different languages in which the subject is taught at the University of Valencia. In addition, the video would again ensure the achievement of the practice in the event of having to return to a non-face-to-face teaching scenario.
