It's great to see the original spec head unit get repaired as I have seen so many people deliberately go and buy an older car because their parents had one etc and then rip out the original stereo and replace it "to bring it up to date"! Do you have any room inside for some Fischer C-Boxes? I had them as standard in my Monza GSE and were very handy. Good luck with the build.
Those were they days, i remember them well, that was state of the art.
