The fake phone call was hilarious, b/c she said "I have to take this", as if she was getting a call, then asked to speak to pizza, as if she made the call 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’m a huge fan of whatever kind of comedy it is when something is very obscure and very specific. This (“the hillbilly auction”?), Ben Wyatt playing Cones of Dunshire on “Parks & Rec”, the True American game on “New Girl” - they are all hilarious.
Ultimately, the show explains everything in that Jack wanted Liz to have what she wanted which was why he played himself to his full potential, pun intended. It was well within his power to sabotage her, but it was because he was her friend that made him carry the negotiation to the end on the highest terms. That being said, this also was led on by the fact that he was enticed by the initial challenge of a jack off.
“You’d have more lawyers on you than a midtown hooker” would be a top tier line in scenes from most shows. Here, it’s like the 20th best joke. What an insane show
There is a big refrigerator with ice cream to the left of her. You can see the full frontal of the refrigerator at 1:53. A shot at 1:47 can be used to measure a distance from her seat to that refrigerator. I think it's about 1.5 meter. She is shown without ice cream at 3:21 and with ice cream at 3:24. So she walked 1.5 m, opened refrigerator, took ice cream, closed refrigerator and went 1.5 m back in about 3 seconds. That is fast and impressive but not an impossible feat.
I once discussed them with a guy who wears them, he says they are great once you get used to them. Maybe I'll try someday, if I'm really, really bored. Like, if RUclips ever goes dead.
I always think of Baldwin's infamous "always be closing" monologue in Glengarry Glen Ross when rewatching this scene. "You know what it takes to run a media conglomerate? It takes rubbing steel balls together to run a media conglomerate!"
There is an amazing movie called Gamers 2: Dorkness rising. At one point a character throws a tomato at a peasant, to which a goody two shoes friend asks how he even got a tomato, to which the character responds: "Hello, I'm a bard."
