- I saw a clip of this episode on Tiktok and knew I had to cover it for you besties. It is such a mess, and dramatic twist at the end makes it even more shocking. Help! I'm In A Secret Relationship is a fairly new show, with their first episode only premiering in summer of 2022. The basic premise of the show, is that someone in a relationship and/or friendship, feels as if they are being hidden. So, they reach out to Rahne Jones and Travis Mills to get help, and get to the truth of why they are being hidden. Every episode we have covered of this show, has been the messiest of messes and this one is no different. This show is quickly becoming one of my favourites to watch AND review for y'all. The episode we are talking about in this video is Brianna and DaQuan, Season 2 Episode 13. I hope you love this video as much as I loved making it! I've got very strong opinions, and as per usual, I know you will too, so make sure to drop them down in the comments! Listen, I took AP environmental science and we did learn about how certain foods in study’s when tested on amphibians, it gave them multiple uteruses and testes. Atrazine I think it was called so it’s not super random
It's been debunked massively and from a paper that can't be replicated as they made up the data to fear monger people. In reality amphibians just have the ability to change sex based on the needs of the population

While I doubt that reverse colorism is a thing, I do think there’s a conversation to be had about some not all, but some dark-skinned people projecting their insecurities on lighter-skinned Black people. I for one am a victim of this, as I vividly remember my blackness being questioned on the bus because and I quote “My family is light skin”. No matter the color you are dark-skinned or light-skinned, you should be respected. We should be questioning someone’s blackness because of how they dress, the things they enjoy, how they talk, or their skin tone. we also should not be putting down somebody with darker skin while praising someone with lighter skin. We are all beautiful and we should be respected by each other.

as a light skinned i feel people are completely misunderstanding the reverse colorism comment. yes, anybody can be made fun of for their skin and have negative stereotypes. i have heard plenty of negative stereotypes, however at the end of the day those harmful attempts at jokes are nothing compared to being viewed the way dark skinned women are. like i rather be called stuck up and “too white” then a monkey or ugly or all the cruel things dark skinned women are told. and light skinned privilege doesn’t mean there’s no struggle, at the end of the day all black people experience oppression and discrimination, but there are issues dark skinned people deal with that i’ll never encounter. and that’s the point.

I was born and raised in St. Louis, but I moved away after high school, so I never really experienced the dating environment. Every person I know who has tells me that it's awful and that it's just a particularly difficult place to be trying to date? Like comparatively to other cities. To be honest, I've never actually asked what they mean by that statement specifically, but based on their past relationships, it seems like people hide their toxic tendencies at first and then they are revealed later lmao
