- So many of you have requested that I cover this new Catfish episode, and hopefully after you watch this video you too can understand why. Everything about this episode (Season 8, Episode 86 or 87 depending on your streaming platform) upset me, but more so the complete disregard Tee has for anyone's emotions but her own. I am a big cry baby, and this episode genuinely made me emotional in the worst way. I have quite a lot to say, hence the longer than normal video. Now, I have highly controversial opinions, so of course I'm excited to hear your thoughts, feelings and opinions down below in the comments. As per usual, if there are any other episodes you'd like to see me cover, please don't hesitate to let me know down in the comments, and let me know if you prefer Catfish videos over Help! @@amandathomas2827 he was quite literally in the process of getting his teeth fixed, he was saving up? She had zero issues with his looks outside of that. And you actually love someone and they have some accident that has caused damage to say their teeth like this man you'd stay by them, especially when teeth, while expensive, can be easily fixed and also just because you love them! I'd never leave my partner over something they couldn't control regarding looks! It's not like the guy asked to have his teeth busted out of his mouth!

I feel like so many people forget that having straight, white teeth is a privilege. Dental work, even a cleaning, can be expensive! There's thousands of ways why your teeth can be messed up, and can easily cost thousands to fix. I personally messed up my teeth badly as a toddler accidentally and had many years of going to the orthodontist because of it.
It’s not about ‘straight white teeth’. It’s about hygiene. Cavities stink, are disgusting, and show laziness. Crookedness in teeth can be flattering.

As someone who always hated my teeth due to a situation completely out of my control (yellow from medication from kidney failure, absolutely bullied for it growing up only got a semi permanent solution to get a decent whitening affect without blowing up my bank last year) this episode hurt me so much, he was so sweet and she was just shallow af due to something ALSO completely out of his control, I absolutely felt for him

As a person who has a dental disease and has lost teeth on the sides and now need my teeth removed and to get dentures…. I feel so bad for this man. He seems to actually be one of the most genuine people we have ever seen on catfish

Yeah, I once broke up with a good catch because i saw a pic of his teeth. All cavities in the front. The thing is, he spent hundreds, perhaps even thousands on his ‘drip’. Total letdown. Honestly idk how anyone can kiss someone with a gross mouth like that. The smell is disgusting

there’s an OG episode of catfish where someone didn’t meet because he was heavier and was trying to losing weight before meeting up. he ended up passing away a few years later. that’s why i imagined him to say that. they also had a more recent episode where someone used their real photos with heavy facetune and was heavier irl. not the first time!

Honestly I'm glad she showed her true colors. Last thing anyone deserves is a partner who will flip the emotional switch on a whim for something as shallow as teeth. Not gonna lie, I was on the verge of tears seeing Ibrahim cry.

A guy I really liked had acne pretty bad and was insecure about it but I gave absolutely ZERO cares. I was down bad for that man. I was absolutely crazy about him regardless of his skin so it really bothers me that she is willing to drop this guy over it. I understand teeth are different than acne but I feel like if I cared about this guy, teeth wouldn’t really bother me. I know what it’s like to be insecure about something you can’t change or is hard to change so I can’t bring myself to be disgusted by those things.

I dated someone who had a fake front tooth from a hockey injury. She’s VERY shallow for that. Teeth are so expensive to take care of unless you’re rich. A lot of dentists/ortho are so picky about insurance it’s wild, and even then you have to pay copays and such.
Also I feel like tee showing how shallow she is makes me know she is the reason for the engagement ending because the way she treated ibraheem shows she was the problem

This episode was so sad and heartbreaking. Her spirit is vile. His teeth are fixed now and he’s looks incredibly handsome! His biggest insecurity was put on display for the world, however, this experience allowed for him to get a beautiful smile.

My teeth are absolutely terrible because of extreme anxiety. The dating scene and even the job scene is absolutely terrible when it comes to someone liking you then they see your teeth... i feel for him. The american dental system price is insane.

My ex had bad front teeth - it was an honor & blessing to me to see him so happy the day he got his veneers. We had been together 3 years prior to his procedure. We parted amicably last summer but I will never forget him coming home from the dentist with the biggest smile on his face. When you love someone, it doesn’t matter.
It broke my heart watching Ibraheem go through this terribly cruel ordeal. However, as tough as it was, I feel that it was for the best because he dodged the bullet that was "Tee". He seems to be a very honest, hardworking, and forgiving man. It is rare to find a person with those attributes, let alone someone with those qualities who is also handsome and in love with you. The tattoo thing is foul & I know he learned a lesson from that. I just hope he can get it covered or removed. I hope he works on loving himself & knowing his worth, and finds a woman who will really see and appreciate him for all that he is. Also, I'm very glad to hear that he was able to get his teeth fixed! Wonder where miss Tee is now...🤔

Thank you for doing the emotional labor on this one! I cried watching the recap, I'm going to have to really prepare for the whole episode. As soon as he cried I cried. How can tee be so selfish and rude! Ibraheem deserves so much more. I was so hoping that Kamie would go alot harder on calling her out for her BS. Catfish needs to do an episode where they follow up once more a couple years later and see how everyone is doing. I wanna see this man thriving and in a loving and happy relationship, and see Tee still stuck in her shallow loop. (Wishful thinking)

Didn't see this episode of Catfish but lets face it, everyone on the show is shallow. They are always "catfished" by a picture of someone who is beautiful and then sad to realize it's not who they thought they were talking to. If they were faced with someone who is not the real person but turned out to be someone who is beautiful, the majority of them would not walk away even with all the lies they were told. They would gladly maintain a relationship with them. Also the show has a vast majority of episodes involving black people. One has to wonder why that is...
That's not what I got out of it. Even if the catfish was hot, it's super bizarre to have your entire relationship be with someone who was lying about their life/kids/cancer/etc

Thank you for covering this one!! I saw it recently and my heart broke for him. You lied to this man, he got a tattoo (I understand she didn’t ask him to do that) and he finally pulled himself out of his comfort zone to come and meet her on television and she ditches him because of his teeth.
I felt so incredibly sad for him and I’m glad they don’t speak anymore. I hope he finds someone who truly is accepting of him.

I’m a white woman from NH and I’m 48. In my twenties, I had moved to urban Phoenix to teach middle school. I found that a student had written in a text book “Ms (me) is a chicken head”. It sucked. I had a short haircut and I’d been bullied for various reasons most of my life, and as a secondary school teacher I tried to have thick skin. Growing up in NH,there aren’t very many people of color, so didn’t know what it meant at the time, but I knew I felt bad enough to NEVER cut my hair short again. I deduced that it was an insult to women with short hair. I’m 48 and back in NH. I also had horrible teeth that I finally got dentures for in 2020. I had to use severance pay to get my dentures. I feel for that man.

I’m so confused on why she seemed to be also pretty adverse to the idea of him potentially being a heavier guy. She said it wouldn’t be the “worst” thing but that clearly means she still has issues with it, which is odd because she’s also a slightly bigger girl (i don’t mean this in a rude way lmao)
This episode hit me really hard when I watched it as I am also someone who is missing teeth (lost them due to being in a depressive funk for a long time and not really taking care of my personal hygiene leading to about 4 of them needing to be pulled). Going to the dentist is tough still as no matter how much work I put in now I will likely lose more in my future. It's something I was extremely concerned about when dating so I very much relate to his insecurity; I have a partial denture that hides it but it's uncomfortable to wear all the time so when I'm just at home I like to leave it out and it's always a really anxiety inducing things telling that to other people because you can just see the judgement in their eyes (but I'm very lucky to be with someone who doesn't care and loves both my toothy and slightly less toothy smiles). Thank you for calling this woman out for the cruel and judgement individual she is.

I have a really common congenital issue that has me missing some teeth. I've had basically a flipper for most of my life, but it broke and I haven't been able to get a new one or have permanent ones put in. It would absolutely destroy me if someone reduced me to my biggest insecurity and made it the reason they didn't love me anymore. That poor poor man. He didn't deserve any of that.

I hated this episode as someone with my own struggles with my own teeth. I think it is absolutely awful for her to end a genuine relationship with a genuine person for this reason, because like, in plenty of cases teeth health can be difficult. Mental health, medication, genetics even are all factors into this and its incredibly rude to not only say something the way she did, but also that shes kind of fully and ready to end things because of his teeth.
The fact he said that it was about 800$ a tooth to get it fixed, should be clear enough that its a struggle to get work done. In my own experience ive spent 2000$ on ONLY 2 teeth alone. So i understand.
Point is, its not cute to be rude and react like about this poor mans teeth holy shit!!!
As someone who has had to get loads of dental work and was born with missing teeth (my mom had me at 42 so prenatal development wasn’t my strongest era lmao) I really feel for this guy. When I was in the process of getting dental implants my flipper (mine was just a retainer with teeth attached where i needed them) broke and even just walking around for just a week with two of my front teeth missing was so degrading. People would look at me normally but once I would smile or start talking their faces would visibly change upon notice of my missing teeth. I can’t imagine having to deal with people looking at me like that every day, let alone going on TV and having someone reject me for something so shallow. I totally understand his reluctance and I personally think he’s incredibly brave for still going through with the meeting, especially when she ended up treating him that way for the exact, superficial thing that he was worried about.

A few months into dating I noticed that it looked like my husband gold slugs on two of his front teeth were decaying. Which sent him into a panic, because he has an absolutely beautiful smile and very nice teeth. We found a dentist and I help paid for the surgery to get them removed. Thank God his teeth were fine n in perfect condition to everyone’s surprise including his dentist but it was 1k to get it done (she gave us a discount; she really liked my hubby and this was her first time doing this). He was so grateful for my help and he tells me that situation really enhanced how he felt about me and he loves me forever for my help. So never get permanent golds always get a pull out.
