Another great video. The reloading course is great info. I have reviewed it multiple times as my journey grows and I am ready for another nugget I may have missed the first times through.
Thank you for sharing your expertise
I'm recovering from a TBI and Piet has been an invaluable resource for me when I need a refresher course 😃 we all know Piet won't steer us in the wrong direction ! Thanks for helping thousands of people buddy 👌👌
Nice video! I had been teetering on the Henderson set-up, and your video may have put me in go mode. I also price and shop out all the tools/parts/bits I need in advance of a rifle purchase and the preparation helps off-set the waiting. Nothing worse than buying a rifle in a new cartridge then finding out the ammo and all the bits to reload are unobtainable.
Great vid! I have never had a bad piece of Peterson Brass and it shoots amazing!
Love your work! I moved to Patterson brass about 3 years ago as lapua was hard to source in Australia.
I won't use anything but Patterson ever again.
The boxes are also great for loaded cartridges.
I have to say, I'm a little jealous of your trimmer.
Big fan of your content and how you present it.
Cheers.
Thanks a ton Brett! Love seeing comments like this 😃
Awesome video Piet 👍🏻
Finding a “my perfect load” has been so much easier after investing in the 21st century expander mandrel die and expander mandrels. Consistency in neck tension really brings down the es and sd numbers. Peterson has been my brass of choice after I couldn’t find any brass other than Peterson for my .300 weatherby. After my first box, almost every caliber I shoot, I choose Peterson brass. Adg is another great brass manufacturer. Their 300 wsm brass is top notch!
Great content as usual! I can vouch for the Reloading For Precision course you created. Excellent course and very well presented! You were born to do this Piet.
BTW, my Warbird is freaking awesome! Just love it 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Thanks Chris! 🎯🎯🎯
thank you,
Dankie Piet! My warbird’s loop oop💪
Now we know where all the Peterson 6.5 PRC casings went ;) I love the Peterson brass except mine required flash hole clean up, otherwise very pleased with the brass so far after five reloads. I just bought some SIG brass for my 30-06 Springfield, flash holes were good. Anyways, I decided to skip the trimming, deburring and chamfering on the initial fire forming since I'm not worried about trying to get groups on the first firing. I'm after figuring out the powder levels for the different possible volume in the SIG brass compared to my previous Hornady brass. I figured I'd neck size, trim, debur and chamfer after the first firing. Plus, have ever tried graphite for the neck lube when using the expander? What do you think about my new case process, is it better to trim before the first firing or after?
Peterson has to be the best brass around.
Naaah... Lapua😎👍
That haircut be lookin fresh, I like it
Dankie Ou Buffel
great video! and love your OCD😉 geniet die dag.
Very informative, thank you, I hope the 9.99 will help! You are my favorite content creator.
@@rickoshea8138 Because Piet does not share useless info
Yep, he's serious about what he does
@@fredriclindgren8568 I have just learnt a lot from him, and his videos are also always enjoying to watch
Hi Piet. What is the PRC's twist rate and length? What powder and primers are you using? What speeds are you getting?
Ahhh 6.5 prc. I know a guy who told me he knows a guy whos brother in law once saw some on the self
I had bought an expander die and turning mandrel for .002” under in one caliber only from another mfr (21st) Dumb question, but this APW set of mandrels does the same thing? These say they size the inside of the case neck on the downstroke, I thought the one I have sizes on the upstroke. Is there a fundamental difference in that functionality? Sorry, managing to confuse myself with something simple. This APW set is very nice, and a great value. I usually dry lube the necks instead of using imperial, but will take your recommendation. Thanks for any info! 👍
Another great video, thanks Piet. What is the cost to land a Henderson Case Trimmer in South Africa (after Government takes their share)
We have a batch coming soon just waiting on some components, I will let you guys know when they are here!
Hi Piet, ek het onlangs begin herlaai. My doppe is almal once or twice fired.
Yes Piet do you also uniform primer pockets?
Nope, Ive never experimented with that
What about shoulder bump on brand new cases? Usually it's way too much so many people seem to fire their brass once before they can get it fully dialled.
Sure, I do this some times, but for most its too much work.
To my fellow saffas even tho you can buy cases and bullets and primers and powder, if you are not in possession of the licence card for that specific caliber it is a offence and you are risking a criminal charge ,so if you decide to load before you have the card keep that info to yourself.
Were can I get one of those nice trimmer machines? I love it. Must get one please
Ill be getting a batch in soon
What's the difference then, if the brass from blue box case mouth is a bit dent, if you do open them. I usually dont mind that, the first time shot's from new cases, are not that accurate as the shot's after that first round. I do use expander when do reload the cases.
Great seeing you in the comments! The dents are fine, but I like the fact that you have a usable box for the reloads afterwards. Make no mistake, I try buy lapua every time, but stocks are limited currently.
@@IMPACTSHOOTING for sure, less stress the case mouth has, the better it is. Have you tryed Lapua brass in your 6.5 PRC? I have shot mine, about 6 times, no annealing, still working nice. Bought a competition electronics dlc chrono, nice to see, if i am even close on the speeds, what i have been thinking 😁
Have you thought about eye protection while trimming?
Correct, I do put the eye shield on when doing volume
I don’t think the RUclips guy is listening mate lol, also be great to see you come to New Zealand for a shoot
Nope he didnt 😂🥹
how long does it usually take for the MDT chassis to arrive
It depends, we have most of them in stock :)
Met mooi tydens die bokke se game😂
Do you do the annealing before or after you resize and trim the case?
Anneal before resizing
I assume we are talking about new brass?
I don't with new brass with the thinking we haven't stretched the brass.
I have also had the same question to myself, annealing could be beneficial for case life? as I do size new brass.
I anneal every time from first fire to last....but not pre.
I don't think it's necessary..but,
Love to ask Piet.
@@brett5990 you can anneal new brass as well. As long as you have an AMP that is it. I’ve ditched flame annealing this last year when I picked up an AMP. Go watch Gavin Toobe’s (ultimate reloaded) video about annealing new lapua brass and seeing the benefits of it for bullet seating consistency and neck grip. However, I don’t anneal brand new brass as it’s already done, I just prep it shoot it then anneal before resizing each time after.
Thanks Garrett,
Sounds like we are on the same pages.
I appreciate your response.
Cheers to good shooting.
👍
My patience, better the lack there of, would drive me to drinking.
do you shoot a lot ?
Goeie dag Piet.
Kan ek asb my nuwe Peterson brass stuur dat jy dit vir my size en deburr?
Dankie
Mau
Vir jou, altyd!
@@IMPACTSHOOTING baie dankie!🤣🤣
What do you prefer. Dry lube of wet lube
So jy los net daardie lube in na die mandrel gebruik het? Dan gooi jy kruit en druk punt in?
Dit maak my nog heeltyd mal om lube skoon te maak, maar as dit werk vie jou gaan ek ophou daarmee!!
Jup, ek hou hulle net so.
Maar ek hardloop deur earbuds vinniger as my debit orders per maand.
What brass is that in the boxes with foam
Peterson.
Piet waar kan n mense daai Henderson cutter in SA koop. Kan mens deur jou werk dalk.
Ons het n besending opad Mr
Waiting for a gun!?! Waiting for a suppressor doesn’t seem so bad I guess

Wow you're bingeing! Love it!
@@IMPACTSHOOTING I can't get enough! Learning so much.
Don't forget to add a primer before you add powder! Ask me how I know.🤦
Makes a massive difference on the muzzle velocity!
@@IMPACTSHOOTING hey I'm ordering a chassis from MTD I live in the US how do I male sure you get the commission off of it.
