I saw the video about this, having it have so much LIFE into it is so terrifying, being able to watch every second of it chase you is just as scary since it literally stalks you as a normal physcopath would. (Especially the maps you choose)

It's unique how he uses the silence in the mapsnto make it creepy and you don't know where he would be. I could say that he has 2 choices when he sees you, 1 is where he hides (he makes sure you see it to make you more alert and paranoid), or 2 he will chase you like a usual nextbot.

i will explain gargitron's phases
1, hiding from the player (it'll run/teleport somewhere and just hide)
2, stalking you (as it stays hidden it'll start playing music that can be heard from anywhere it wants to let you know no matter how fast you run or hide it will find you. it makes you feel more scared of the map more then the bot it self cause you never know what'll happen
3. chase (once it sees you it'll start chasing you down if you run fast enough it'll give up and start over again)
and yeah that's what gargitron does just in case u wanted to know
* it was made so players would find the gmod maps more scary instead of focusing on the nextbot *
the system is based off of a coin system. once the nextbot is in the player's line of sight it will do a coin flip. if tails it will chase you. if heads it will run from you and hide, beginning the stalk cycle again. if it chases you, and it doesnt catch you for a long time, it goes into hiding/stalking mod.

There was actually an update to the nextbot, which i think was the one being used here. It has 3 changes(i think), when it hides it flips a coin about whether to stalk you normally or wait and ambush you. It also has a new chase mode, where it slows down the closer it gets to you. It also has a rage mode, where if you escape enough chases, it goes much faster and gets much more agile for the next chase.

Taking sharp turns can outrun it. It's fast on straightaways.
Gargi bro is next level. He re uses the "Jaws" effect where you listen to the beat and you know the god damn shark is near and can come from any where at high speed to maul you in seconds. It takes it a step further by adding the distorted radio effect when it is really near. And the way is stalks makes you really feel hunted. Like he sees you and sometimes he leaves cause you saw him or just leave cause you saw him. Then it dissapears for a while while evading you then suddenly waiting for you around any corner ready to jump at light speed for a swift kill. And it still conserves all the nextbot powers like being unstoppable and breaks everything on its way to you. Really good bot.
I had a stroke reading “leaves because you saw him or leaves because you saw him” also he cant jump or go through objects like other nexbots wich i find less scary because hes not inescapable
Maybe, but the real terror is that you know it watches you. For every time you escape, is only a delay from the inevitable. For you cannot hide from it, even phases through doors. So, if you think you are safe… Then check again. Because I am not outside your window.

Accurate description for the stalker: Once spawned, it teleports to a random area, it can be around any corner at any time. When it starts chasing you it can choose at any time when your too far away from it so it will go back to hiding, waiting for you to get into striking distance (Note: It emits a static noise when your near it, make sure you listen so you don't get caught off guard)
A short description of the Nextbot for those who don’t know about it: This Nextbot when spawned into the game will teleport to a random part of the map and enter 1 of its three phases or “modes” which is titled “Stalking”. In this phase he will slowly move towards the player at a lowered speed. When found by the player this nextbot has about a 50/50 chance of entering either of the 2 other phases, “Hide” or “Chase”, which are pretty self-explanatory. During “Hide” the Nextbot will run from the player and hide at a random nearby area. When found the Nextbot will enter the “Chase” phase. During the “Chase” phase it acts as any other Nextbot chasing down the player. While in “Chase” the Nextbot may after a certain period enter “Hide” again. I cannot recall whether or not it may enter “Stalking” from “Chase” or if it is just “Hide” as the only other option.

I love how this nextbot takes the feeling of being watched chased and being in a creepy environment and takes it to make a terrifying nextbot and experience
I have seen people say that Gargi is lame and bad because he dosnt follow you like the other nextbots but thats the point. Gargi is a experiment to see how much you can do with the nextbots instead of boring copy and paste that every single png nextbot is even the DrGBase ones are like this in witch only have two states idle and chase mostly. Why not mix it up with new behaviors? to see what comes out.
He's more focused on the Horror part than the Adrenaline you get when being chased

This moment is really why I think one of the only two things about Gargitron that need improvement is the sound design. You have no idea it's chasing you because it never goes into it's "chase" sound, and that makes it infinitely more terrifying. If I could change it, I would make it so it doesn't have a dedicated "chase" sound, instead have it randomly alternate between it's stalking sound and complete silence (the complete silence was always part of what I thought made obunga so scary). The second thing would make it be able to fit in small spaces and jump.

This nextbot has a coin flip chance when it can see you to either run away and hide or chase you, after one of the phases that they choose is done they resume the stalking phase in which they slowly follow you at a distance to do one of the other 2 phases that you need to deal with.
Edit: after they chase or hide they teleport to a random point on the map like how it did when you first spawned it, keep this In mind when you spawn or get away from gargitron, you might just need it.

I saw the video of the making of the next Bot it that has a 50-50 chance of running or hunting when you see it or it sees you, after it runs or attacks, if it attacks after a while it runs away and goes back to stalk mode until it sees you again repeating the process and when it's placed in the map it teleports to a random part of the map and initiates stalk mode. gargitron was meant for scary/horror maps.
The creator made gargitron to be as scary as possible, scary maps helped this goal be achieved.

Ussualy for other players it starts stalking them looking from the corner waiting to attack and if somone sees it, it will leave. For you it looks like its more agresive beacuse it dosent stalk you very often and jumps to attack after it sees you and runs away after he lost you just to get you off guard and kill you. I saw peppole create nexbots that just go after you and thats it, but this one is difrent it has a mind of its own
The thing that makes him different while chasing is the music, that it isnt silly meme music. Its horror music

When Gargitron sees you it can either Hide which it goes around the corner out of view then teleports somewhere random Gargitron can also chase when it sees you
Theres also 3 modes when gargitron is chasing you:
Toying with you is when it slows down when it gets close so you have the illusion of being able to escape
Normal chasing is when its like a normal nextbot
Enraged is when you escape its chase 3 times it becomes very fast and near impossible to escape

Ok this is how the monster work there a stalking phase ( when you spawn it ) and there coin flip head means it in the hiding phase and tail run
This NextBot has 3 Phases: Stalking, Hiding, and Chasing. It’s default stage is Stalking. Upon spawning, it will teleport to a random room and start stalking the player. Upon eye contact, the NextBot will make a Heads or Tails move. If heads, it will retreat away from the player and hide, and it will eventually return to stalk. If it dose tails, then it will go into chase mode where it will chase the player until it kills the player, or it returns to stalking.
I watched the video about how a guy created the NextBot Gargitron. Gargitron is designed to Stalk, Hide and Chase because normal NextBot’s only chase which gets annoying after a while. The fact Gargitron is designed to Stalk and then Hide or Chase is the whole purpose, to make it scarier.
