For the looking at, it is not if you look at it for too long, but instead whenever you look at it, it flips a coin and if lands on heads it into its hiding mode, and if it flips tails it enters its chasing mode

omg its gargatron! He does 3 things. When spawned he teleports somewhere, He stalks you. but when he sees you, he eithers runs away in stalk mode. Or go into chase mode. You can run from it and return back to stalk.
