All your videos have been very helpful. I’ll be in Lisbon next week ( my first visit to Portugal). While I won’t be able to speak or understand much, your videos snd flash cards have given me enough confidence to at least try. Muito Obrigado Liz 🙏
Thank you so much! I almost understood everything without the subtitles. Can you please write in Portuguese when she said - "If you would like a drink.." I understood the rest but I'm trying to catch the exact words she said in the beginning. Going to Lisbon and Porto in May!! I'm so excited!!
One of the settings is to turn on Portuguese subtitles! She said "Se pretender usufruir de uma bebida ou de um cocktail, poderá fazê-lo no 4° piso, no nosso rooftop bar ou então aqui no nosso lobby bar o nosso Hangout bar." Hmmmm, agora tenho sede.
Another very useful video so thank you Liz. Watched without subtitles and understood everything in the dialogue 😊Am pretty certain too that I can respond appropriately thanks to doing your course. Can’t wait to visit Lisbon again.
Great video thank you, but I think it's more useful when the whole dialogue is in Portuguese, so we can know a bit more about how to link the words or how would the complete conversation flow. Thank you :)
Bom dia Liz, is it possible for you to make the videos with Portuguese subtitles, too? I think it would be much easier, faster and better to learn in this way. In the Easy language videos you can get subtitles in three to four languages. Obrigada Kirsten 🙂
Muito bom video! Já sabemos que se não falas PT, eles podem falar um inglés perfeito contigo haha! Mas acho que é ótimo para aqueles que querem praticar a língua. Obrigado.
Hi Liz, any tips in how to get a response in English from a Portuguese if your accent is not excellent and you dont have dark hair ? Hahaha Even if you already know all the vocab and speak well, in a hotel especially, for sure they will just respond in English anyway ... Drives me crazy ...
I am learning Portuguese from Portugal. But I often feel frustrated because most Portuguese speakers that I meet are from Brazil so it kinda makes me feel that my accent is very weird😂😂
No, there isn't. And in the most places that tourists visit there is hardly any services you won't easily go by with English alone. Yet, it is always thoughful to put some effort in connecting with people you come by and language and showing effort goes a long way in that regard.
Portuguese such a ❤ language 🎉
Off to albufeira in 3 weeks, watched the majority of you videos but have been waiting on this one! 😂
Absolutely terrifying classiness 😂. Muito obrigado!🎉

This happens a lot! Just insist and say you're trying to learn! "Podemos falar em Português? Estou a aprender"

Olá
Não tenho certezo se os brasileiros também usam a expressão "rooftop bar", mas se usam a expressão, provavelmente pronunciam "hoofytoppy bar". ;-)
You did not cover paying for the room, or how many nights they were staying.
❤
she said dez "da" sete.... subtitles weren't the same. is the de ommitted sometimes?
Where is this? Can you tell us the timeframe?
Where need script for dialogue
Subtitles are available 😊

Is there anyone at a front desk in Portugal, who does not speak English?
