Tales of Wells Fargo was my favorite. What I always liked about Jim Hardie as the hero was he was never a showboater, a peacock. He talked simple, straight, and plain. Common sense. Truth and integrity.

I wasn't born when he was so famous. But, watching all his movies and his series, Tales of Wells Fargo, I watch him everyday on that series. He was such a handsome man. I love that he loved horses. I love watching him!!!!

Loved Tales of Wells Fargo. Dale came to our town, he was so popular I couldn't get close to see him. It was a good time.

I remember seeing him on western shows on the t.v. when I was growning up on the East Coast. Like other little kids I had a cowboy hat and Long Ranger heavy steel guns; that couldn't be sold today without the red piece in the nozzle, or plastic; I probably acted out many of his characters.

I always respected him as a man and an actor. I could tell even through the roles he played he was a mans man. and an honest man devoted to life not acting. somehow I always knew (with out news media) he never left his love of horses and the western life he grew up with behind. and this video confirms my beliefs then and even more so now. My Dad was a year older than him. Both of my parents were alcoholics. There were many in that generation they really had it tough: between the Depression, and WW2. Can't imagine the ones who had to deal with Korea as well. I'm not justifing it my siblings, and I payed a price for it. But, I understand.

I feel like he could’ve even become a bigger star if he would’ve been guided into getting parts that projected his identity with the public.

One scene, from the Iron Horse series, has him wearing a right handed holster while walking with a lady.

Dale Robertson, a natural right-hander, taught himself to draw his gun and shoot left-handed so that his character Jim Hardie would be more distinctive, in ‘Tales of Wells Fargo’

Too many errors to list. Rochelle is alive and well. Dale wasn't left handed. Dale was NEVER AN ALCOHOLIC. Dale told me a totally different story about Iron Horse and you haven't even checked his obituary, otherwise you would have corrected the date that Dale died. Sorry about this but I've just whizzed through the transcript and picked out some of the errors. I can't be bothered to listen to the whole video.

True, they got that wrong, in real life he was righthanded and to play Jim Hardy on Tales Of Walls Fargo he had to learn to draw with his left hand.

I met Dale Robertson and he was exceptionally nice to me. Such a considerate man who was very gentlemanly.
I've met a lot of Hollywood stars, the 2 nicest were Sally Field and Dale Robertson.
I enjoyed his company very much and we had a fairly long conversation while sitting next to each other at a nice, but small bar.
He listened to my stories intently, just as I listened to his.
As I said, Dale Robertson was a true gentleman who made me feel very good by paying attention to a Cherokee combat veteran that no one else did.
Sgi for uploading this tribute. Sgi means thanks in my first language, Cherokee.
Being Cherokee was a topic that led to he and I talking more.
Again sgi for recognizing such a great guy.
