That night in Copenhagen was actually magical. First concert I'd been to since covid, and I brought an old friend who accepted my invitation after hearing like 20 seconds of one of your tunes, and we had an amazing time. Thank you!

Some time ago I left a comment (at the 'we almost lost a shitload of money on touring' video) about the incredible level of availability of transportation options in Europe and the fact it is feasible to tour around there, across many countries, without doing any driving at all. Some people there didn't seem to believe me that that was actually possible, and yet, here we can see in detail how a dense and diverse network of frequent, abundant, and affordable public transportation makes it all rather feasible and even convenient. Hopefully, in the US, one day this will be (again!) available as an option, too. (Also, technically, with just 1-2 more days of available time this could have been done without involving any intra-European flights, for there are fast (and sometimes literally high-speed) train connections available between all these destinations.) Hope you had a good time! (and hope to eventually align my travel agenda with yours to see you live!)
Indeed, especially considering that they had a very intricate and un-practical itinerary to follow, that would have been impossible without flying: if they managed to book shows in cities located on a coherent path, as it usually happens with US tours, distances would have been much smaller and travelling with public transport would have been much easier. However maybe in that case a van could have done the job equally well.
Holy shit, your management of that tech issue in Ableton was some of the best live damage control I’ve ever seen! We all have anxiety about technical glitches at shows but you made that one work like a comedy piece 💙❤️
when going live always ALWAYS disconnect from networks, unless you _absolutely_ need to be online. Else, offline mode, prevent any unneded stuff getting into your laptop/phone
I was at the first Oslo show and i have to say it was a magical, surreal expreience! Sub Scene is such a cozy venue and the vibe you brought just made my head explode!! I really hope you enjoyed the tour and that you consider coming back to Norway for more incredible musicking
The bassist from my band came to see yous lot in Manchester, I was hoping I'd catch a glimpse of him in the audience 😄 He's exactly the person to have personally experienced, and also unironically enjoy, a bass solo/Ableton update.
I’m impressed, no tour manager and no roadies dealing with a very technical set, you are the Real Thing! "We had to walk in through the subway next door" Erm Adam we don't actually call it the subway... oh wait, I see what you mean Anyway I saw you guys in Hoxton (the first night) and you were amazing! Thanks so much for that gig
I know this probably isn't going to happen, but I want "we're doing solitaire, not mahjong" to be the "by-phrase" for "the show must go on". I loved that sequence so much. The audience's positive reaction to the tech fail and Sungazer riding the counterintuitive hype to keep the show going in an unexpectedly good way made it feel like there wasn't even a fail. This, in my humble opinion, is the pinnacle of "banding". Your show can be a complete "clusterf*ck", and your audience still applauds you for giving it your best shot, and you all have a good time; a good time in spite of imperfections. Because what is live music for, if not that?
It may be a little stressful for you guys. But I kind of never want these stage errors and mistakes to go away. It’s part of the reason why I enjoy live bands like you guys! It makes it human and so much more interesting. Although the big issues can definitely take a hike!
I was at the Birmingham gig. It was an amazing experience (almost) right in front of the stage and you guys were awesome, even the mess of an encore at then end (you know what I'm on about if you were there).
There's another boat-based venue in Budapest, the A38 ship which gives off kinda the vibes like the one in Hamburg. It's so dope to be there both as an audience member, as well as a performer. Once you get around to the next European tour, I'd highly recommend you trying to book a show there. You guys are loved and talked about here a ton, too.
I always use music as kind of white noise to focus when working. I simply couldn't do it with your music... I found myself banging my head, trying air drumming or air bassing... It's meant to be heard over and over, enjoying everything. Amazing!!! Greetings from Bogotá, Colombia.
I was at the gig in Hoxton, London. You guys were amazing! You've nailed that super hard to achieve thing (Snarky Puppy also do this) of creating music that is both super nerdy for musos who can dig into it, yet super listenable if you wanna just let it wash over you and enjoy the ride. And live you simply kicked ass (or as a Brit I should say you kicked bottom!)! Cheers fellas!🤟
Got _very_ lucky to catch the Paris gig! But after seeing a couple of seconds of your guys's stuff he said "how did I not know them before?" and wanted to come. He enjoyed it just as much as me. It was the first concert I went to after the pandemic, and it was truly magical. And I've got to say: The most impressive moment of the set to me was your bass solo. A 5 minute bass solo is already too much for some to imagine, but you did it so beautifully, so interesting, it was truly magical. Not a second of it seemed repetitive, it didn't get boring in the slightest. Such a wonderful moment, born out of a driver problem out of all things - beautiful. I already thanked you personally for this wonderful evening, but once again - thank you so very, very much.

Very few bands can ask the question “who wants to hear a 5/16 time signature” without having people leave the room afterwards
Ultimately, sungazer is a band for classical/jazz trained musicians. No one else wouldve understood what that meant haha
