Wow. I think that was just about the down payment for my first house. These trucks are gorgeous but the prices are ridiculous. Last new truck I bought was in 2014 it was a Ram 1500 Limited with every possible option and sticker was 56k. I thought that was excessive.

Unfortunately, this is less practical truck than my 2008 F-250 Lariat that I decided to keep (so I have two diesel trucks now). This new GM truck is loaded with electronics but is missing many practical things my old Ford has, and one of them is sunglasses holder, but there is soooo maaany other things.
Great video! I'm thinking the two buttons by the headlight switch are for dimming of the instrument cluster and not for adjusting the cruise control. Sure sounds quiet in the cab when going down the highway.
That 'A' on the end of stalk is for Auto high beams or IntelliBeam as its called. This turns on and off the high beam headlights according to your surroundings. Everything is spelled out in the owners manual.

I just took delivery of my 2021 last week. It was an ordeal. Bought it in-transit as dealer inventory, not special order before Christmas. Took almost 70 days to take delivery. Then upon delivery tailgate was damaged and had to be replaced. Good news GM kicked in $1500 for accessories and the dealership made my first two months' payments all while allowing me to drive my 2019 Denali after they paid it off.

That is some crap about the upgrades, It is the common way for them to screw you, of course they charge you double for make believe aftermarket upgrades. And of course they will use your upgrades as a selling point for potential buyers.
Hey bud, dont know if anyone has mentioned in the comments, but that button on the end of your blinker switch is the auto high beam. Turns your brights on and off automatically. Nice truck. Just bought the 2021 2500 Denali with DMax last Friday. Love it!

MA moto could be a while. We had to wait a week or more for the truck to make it to the local train yard and then it sat there for almost 2 weeks before it went to the dealer for us to pick up.
One thing for sure with all of the big 3 late model trucks is the front view is in a huge way obstructed due to the design of the body and hood height. The overall "belt line" of new trucks is too high for great navigation or views from the cab. It's nice to have all of those push buttons and switches to turn things on or off etc. but at some point, all of the electronic stuff will require expensive repairs or maintenance.
Just got this truck a few weeks ago. Gooseneck towed around 13,000 lbs and it felt like there was nothing behind me. Night and day compared to my 2018 ram
Just picked up the 2020 3500hd, moss the auto wipers if it's a feature available like on Yukons I have not found how to activate. Center console and appearance of controls and screen leaves a little to be desired but overall great truck. While several data features were added was the fuel range gauge eliminated?
Great review. I have a very similar truck, but it's the 3500. Watched this right before I purchased in March. Love the truck, coming from a Ram 2500. I wish they would have spent more time on the interior, but the ride and transmission are much better than the Ram.
To answer your question, it now has the Denso HP4 vs the Bosch CP4 re the fuel pump. :). Many of us are hoping it is much less finicky than the Bosch CP4 was!! Great video!
I've had mine for about a year now and since I've got it I've had issues with the radio shutting of or going black and the dealership I got it from tells me everything is normal is anyone having the same problem thats just one of the many issues I have with it

I think to answer your lift pump question, they went with a Delphi or something like that and I think it's still a CP4 just not Bosch. Because they were originally Bosch before they switched
hey bud, I’ve watched your vids for a few yrs. while you upgraded your 16. I did all the same mods to my 16 , expect I did bigger lift and 37s. I guess my question would be would it be worth trading in or sell out right. Mine is a high country with 34,000 miles only, but I’m really wanting a new Denali. Thanks
paul D definitely don’t regret getting the 2020 even with as much work as I had into the 2016. It’s the best truck I’ve owned by far and I wouldn’t go back.

Most definitely not the same color. I Sure hate that they discontinued stone blue metallic. I had it on my 17 Duramax. Absolutely loved it ... definitely ceramic coat it because any sap or tar left on it for more than 4 months will eat directly through the clearcoat and paint.... happened to mine

I have this truck, they messed up with several things. First no adaptive cruise control (one would think spending this much money that would be standard, my 2015 Suburban even has it). Second the DEF fluid fill that is now by the side is junk. When you fill it there’s no way of telling when its full so it runs all the way down the side of the truck, into the step, and dries white. Put it back under the hood. Third, split level tailgate is horrible when towing a trailer. If you drop it, it scratches the tailgate. Fourth, no lane departure. Fifth, truck still shakes after benign back to the dealer many times. The power assist steering has problems, and its all over the net. It’s got some good features but I would have expected more.
I agree with you about adaptive cruise and the split level tailgate. There is a hitch they make that is cut in such a way that if you drop it with the hitch in it clears but it’s over $300. Also, I’ve got over 12,000 miles now and no issues with the power steering or any shaking, still as smooth as when I bought it.
FROGMAN524 GM could easily do a simple software update that when you have a trailer plugged into the wiring harness the top button on the tailgate won’t activate. Not sure why they don’t do that.
Tailgate is nice But worthless most guys leave their hitch on full time for protection of being rear end. I hearing a lot of guys already ruined there new gates behind leaving a hitch in the receiver. Smh 🤦♂️ GM Nice 👍 truck though

That's how Duramaxes are referred to because the displacement was always 6.6 L for the last 20 years even though the engine had major changes. People refer to other brands, like the Powerstroke, by the displacement. V8 doesn't tell you anything because all engines on this truck are V8. You can't even call the latest generation the "6.6" because the gas engine is also 6.6 L. Therefore, when noobs ask "what the fuel mileage on a 6.6 is" nobody knows what they're talking about.

Emergency hard key is built into key fob, push side button & it pops out..there is a key slot @ door handle..mine has cab lights on top..great rev

Mike Alvarez just drove to LA and back from Phoenix and averaged 19.2 going between 75-80MPH the entire way

Not the lift pump but the injection pump. Yes, they abandoned Bosch, the pump and injectors were switched over to Denso.

Only thing I use the upper tailgate for is to put long pieces of wood or PVC in at the Home Depot or Lowes.

Why do you refer to the engine by its code instead of inline 6 or v8? Many of us don't memorize oder codes.
That's how Duramaxes are referred to because the displacement was always 6.6 L for the last 20 years even though the engine had major changes. People refer to other brands, like the Powerstroke, by the displacement. V8 doesn't tell you anything because all engines on this truck are V8. You can't even call the latest generation the "6.6" because the gas engine is also 6.6 L. Therefore, when noobs ask "what the fuel mileage on a 6.6 is" nobody knows what they're talking about.
