For the first time, Alice has someone stand between her and danger, instead of her having to fight on her own. Hatter put himself in front of Alice when Jack showed up. Which is the first time he ever had something, or in this case someone, to fight for and protect that was not himself. The "Almost kiss" MAKES this scene.

I've figured out the most unrealistic things about this show: 1) Literally everything about Charlie lol "i'm a knight" how is he aLIVE 2) tHeY hAvEn'T kIsSeD yEt 3) that elevator after they saved alice actually closing quickly this is truly syfy
I can't look at Hatter without seeing Connor which doesn't make me support the ship between Hatter x Alice, because all I can think about is that I support Abby x Connor.
