  • Here's my Norwegian Premium Economy review, onboard a Boeing 787 Dreamliner from Seattle to London.
I was looking forward to trying Norwegian Premium Economy after hearing some positive things about it. Sadly my experience was not as positive, and an uncomfortable seat and surly crew led to a pretty disappointing flight.

You're being way too harsh. Norwegian has never called this business class, and nor will they ever call it that, and you shouldn't compare it to that either. It's a fairly cheap, premium economy option, nothing more, nothing less. I thought it was perfectly acceptable the couple times I have flown in their premium economy across the pond.

Good video as always - but being completely honest this is the first video of yours that I think it was obvious that you usually fly in higher classes and I felt it tainted your review of Norwegian because it's not as good as your usual class of travel - despite being a completely different class of product.
Premium economy to me is just a different seat with a bit of extra room and some free drinks, I think you appeared to be expecting a bit more but for the price. The seat comfort is completely subjective and I think the food quality looked acceptable for the class and fare. However, I agree that the crew not coming to serve drinks is a bit naff and should be improved but I assume if you had used the crew call button - or just gone and asked - they would have served you.
I'm a big fan of your videos though and I am looking forward to the next one :) safe travels!

@@ThatPerthFan I understand your point of view, but this is an inbetween version of Economy and Business Class - if you want better food, better drinks, the more attentive staff you simply book business class on a standard carrier.
I would be interested to know who "most" of the carriers you mention are. I am struggling to think of any carriers who offer premium economy at this price point. One carrier that comes to mind is Thomas Cook on their transatlantic Dreamliner service, but their premium economy doesn't include seats as featured as this (simply slightly upgraded standard seats with a bit more leg room) and costs significantly more. I cant comment on the food or drink selection though.

    • @rzlosty
      @rzlosty 5 лет назад +2

@@juliettebravosprteam4072 Hmm well if that is the case, I would agree that this should be changed to premium economy on Skyscanner - it certainly isn't a business class level product by any stretch.
Though I would still argue that with the amount of travel Noel seems to do, he is pretty up to speed with the various offerings by other carriers - so I doubt this is a case of him being tricked into what he thought was a business class ticket.

Not sure how he thinks he will get lucky to get an economy row to himself. Most planes I have been on have been full or near full. I just want to take a minute to help anybody out there who plans to fly on norwegian in their premium class, as i fly with them often. Noel your review was honest and excellent. I respect your views and experience.
Norwegian is a LOW COST airline (budget long haul carrier). I often see people’s comments comparing it’s premium ECONOMY to business class. This is not a business class product. Headphones are given out for free upon request in Premium only. The little black USB port in the Side of the seat is actually the foot rest extender and not a USB port at all. This might have made you a little more comfier.
With norwegian being a low cost budget carrier the food isn’t going to be the best in terms of portion sizes but does the trick. They also have a great snack bar to order, sandwiches, drinks, snacks and more. It’s weird the crew didn’t bring drinks that you ordered on the screen but you had a front galley that is for premium. Push the call bell button or go up and ask for a drink.
My last big thing is if you don’t ask the crew then you don’t get. Ask them if they provide headphones, ask them how the seat works. Ask for extra blankets to make a pillow or bring your own. They are happy to oblige. The crew are all over the plane. You just didn’t bother to get up and look. You were filming a piece of the front galley and I could hear the crew talking.
And finally to end this little comment, people’s experiences are different. Noel may not have found this the best but whoever reads this and books with norwegian, you might find this just perfect for you.

Honestly, I love your videos but don’t get this one, I’ve flown a Norwegian myself several times long and short haul, and never had one issue! It’s probably Crew based , ordered several things in one flight to JFK and back and everything arrived within minutes if not within a minute. Seats are brilliant probably just your height doesn’t help you.
So personal opinion doesn’t match on this video but try and make more positive outlooks 👍

Norwegian are a LLC can’t see the problem for a premium economy flight. Have seen lots of Norwegian and this is the first time the crew have not delivered. It’s quite simple to go to the galley and ask. £509 against £3000

I think you were super over critical I have flown with them LGW -SIN twice in Premium and we got pillows the drinks came as soon as you ordered them on the IFE system which I think is great and the seat and space is the best in the business as far as premium economy goes, yes you were very unlucky. Maybe you would have been more comfortable in cattle class which it is at the back try it next time you will wish you were back at the front. £3000 or £550 no brainier.

LGW-SIN no longer exists so just shows you the viability of their model. £3000 or £550 may be a no brainier for the passenger but the £550 fare doesn’t make the airline any money. Won’t be long before the entire airline goes under because their model is unsustainable. Either that or they stop their nonsensical vanity project which is Long Haul and concentrate on the Short Haul.

I do like Sea-Tac Airport, but sometimes it is so incredibly packed with people and aircraft, it appears to be operating beyond intended capacity. This airport badly needs substantial expansion projects. A few are happening so hopefully this airport can get some relief. The economy in Seattle has been very hot for a long time and it shows at the cramped airport.

Never flown with Norwegian Long-haul personally. The first time I flew with them was 9 years ago from Gatwick to Tromso, via Oslo... Their short-haul product was very good back then. However, it is a shame their long-haul product did not expand to the same level of service I received all those years ago on short-haul. However, Norwegian has expanded significantly since then with a dedicated 'Norwegian UK' subsidiary company. Perhaps a flight from Oslo long-haul would be completely different?
