  • We spent all winter driving our 1973 air-cooled VW Bus around without interior door grab handles. This meant, every time we wanted to close the door, we had to roll down the the window in order to have something to grab. Now that it is warm and summer time, we finally mounted some grab handles.

    This is a short and straightforward process. All you need are the grab handles, nut plate clips, and screws. This does involve cutting some holes in your door panel, but if it's a factory door panel, there should already be cut outs in it.

      Thanks P street. Took a lot of coats of vinyl paint to get them to that point. Who knew black was so hard to cover with white 😅

      @@pstreetgarage7304 yep the previous owner had bought black panels that were never installed. I was going to buy new white ones until I saw the price tag. I think it was about $150 in vinyl upholstery rattle cans and a lot of coats get them fully covered. Really happy with how they’ve been holding up.
