Awesome. I need to get my butt in gear for POTA. I've activated one park....in 2018, shamefully! 73!

It is a lot of fun and just relaxing to break away from the norm. Thanks for watching. 73s

The toroid is to stop common mode current from the coax and radio. To protect the radio it can be anywhere on the coax. However to keep the coax from radiating due to common mode the toroid should be as close to the antenna as is possible in your case right after the 49:1.

Thank you for the tip. I will reverse it I seem to always have it on the radio side. Thanks for watching. 73s

If not using a separate counterpoise it’s best to put the choke 0.05 wavelengths down (on the lowest band) from the transformer so the outside of the coax shield acts as a sufficient counterpoise. 73, Don wd8dsb

    いつも思うんですが、RUclipsの日本語訳は酷すぎる‼️英語圏の投稿者の自動翻訳は、殆ど、意味不明です。改良願いたい❗️
