Great tutorial. I need to start doing this again. It's a very useful skill. I had an old fishing guide(Capt Bill Curtis) teach me how to sharpen hooks for saltwater flies with a file. Once you get it, you've got it. btw, his hands were so calloused and weathered he used to use a file on his callouses ! Not kidding. He would be telling stories while filing his hands. Old school all the way!
great tutorial and a skill every hunter should know.

Great video !!!!
Could you put what the name of the file is in the description? Thanks for a cool video!
Honestly I have no idea. A good standby is an American made Nicolson mill bastard file.
Single cut, Mil Smooth, Flat Bastard file. Any hardware store should have them on the shelf
