Binoculars. Do We REALLY Need Them?
Просмотров 2872 месяца назад
Binos are super important for the way I hunt. It not only lets me identify game, but lets me see trees I can set up in from a distance and helps me make a plan how to get to one exact tree.

The season has started in Minnesota! My guest suit was on the ground in a real promising spot where I’ve had great encounters with deer in the past

Amazing Hunting Knife From Hiko Ito
If you hav yourself cargo van that you can sleep inside and doesn’t pay regular normal bases expenses ! That’ll work !
We only get 23 an hour and it hasn’t been changed since last year. Also last year, the preloaded were doing a much better job of pre-staging according to PAL label order. This year so far, it’s been a disaster. Also, we are all crammed into a 28 ft box truck where there isn’t even room for each of us to work. We are not allowed to stage our loads outside of the truck. You typically spend the entire day backtracking back and forth to get everything on your route. Is it worth it? Let’s say I do have fun. But the inefficiencies gripe me as it doesn’t have to be this nonsensical. Also, the truck we use isn’t very safe. The lift gate settles throughout the day and getting into the truck gets harder.
I know you also have a Javaman elk heart which is also a short r/d longbow. Which do you prefer between the elkheart and the Pika?
So I absolutely love my Elkheart. But the Pika is a fantastic bow. Very similar in feel but it was only a few cosmetic and aesthetic things I didn’t like about the Pika. I didn’t like the Myrtle veneers, the linen micarta or the skinny string (although the string is an easy fix). Don’t get me wrong, it’s an absolutely gorgeous bow with incredible craftsmanship but I had my Elkheart made with the wood combo I wanted so it’s more special to me
Wow so there are really some people out there that have no clue? I really believe my 8 year old granddaughter could do this with no instruction.
Couldn't watch this video... Wind noise is bad..
@@MoonyMark yeah man. I don’t lock the weather lol
Are you aiming or shooting instinctive?
Gap-stinctive I guess. Some days barely above a hope and a prayer lol
@ I feel ya. 😂
Nice bow!
They really don’t allow tinted windows?
Did you shoot with Elkhart
Mines being glued up this week
Good idea.
Would you say the gripper holds arrows as tight as the Selway? That's the only thing holding me back. My great northern gripper leaves a lot to be desired and the Selway gripper is awesome.
Did you take lunch breaks? I know from working at Amazon they get pissed when you take a lunch break. They expect people to work all day without any lunch till you go home!
Thank you for sharing.
Would like to see video on pivoting the stand left or right
Are u able to do half your route in the morning and half later? I do amazon flex too
A simple square piece of plywood with holes and a piece of rope makes a seat that can go around any tree and the height is adjustable. These lil stools hardly ever sit flat and will have your a$$ screaming within an hour. Especially if your 6ft or taller...lol
@@BBD-350L I’m actually loving this stool. Super comfy. However, I’m not tall so the leg thing isn’t an issue. I made a Torges tree seat recently but I can’t use it in half the places I go. No tree to attach it to. I’m literally in the muck, mire, marsh, weeds and blow downs. The nearest tree to me might be 30 yards away.
How many bows.dp you own
Currently 4. Two ASLs, Elkheart and Grizzly
I like preachers seat better
very pricy tho
How much a week $$ ?
I will start in November 5th
If you had a boat cushion too it would lift you up about 2 more inches, and comfortable too.😊
love the vlogs
That folding stool idea is awesome!
@@MangrovesToMountainsOutdoors yeah I’m loving it. I did a full video on it and why it’s perfect for me a while back
What spine u shoot and total weight up front
Yep, I hate carrying them too. At least in my area you greatly increase your odds of success in a tree.
I gave up on tree stands years ago. Lighter more mobile with a waldrop pac seat, multiple torges seats and a number of buckets and chairs stashed in areas I frequent. Gave my grandson all my stands..
Wrap it around a pencil or small stick, works for me. Being 67 I'm climbing less & using pop up blinds more
I like how that looks too
So I can use a small black rest on my recurve
What pound is the bow
@@williamswanson6396 that one is 44/27
Glad to see you getting into deer.
I have been a PVD in Sunnyvale, CA for the past five years and they have paid $38 per hour plus mileage.
Why didn't you get that bow cut to center
I wanted to stick to the “true” ASL format. I figured I’d I wanted a cut to center bow is just get a different style bow. Stubbornness I guess
What quiver are you using? Great video.
@@BrianTheBee Selway strap on model.
How do you like Cabin Fever for trad bows? I’m also a Minnesota guy. Thanks
Love cabin fever. I live like 3 minutes away. However they are very limited on any trad stuff just like most archery shops.
Cool close call! I'm loving the ground game too.
Good video. Another tip for you to try. With my HeIo I have tied Paracord in a loop on the batwing. I strap a bungee cord that has a plastic hook around the tree. I then put the Paracord in that hook, and now I am hands-free to put the strap on the stand without having to hold the weight.
I have one of those stools. I sure wish mine had pink though.
I just love it!!! I recently said I’m done with tree stands completely!!! I couldn’t be happier! So much more with less!!! Good luck 🍀
You look like that amish dude that makes yt shorts 😂
What's the name of that mask?
I used to think they were ridiculous... Then I got some decent ones and my mine was changed.
Hot liquid in a nutribullet? I think it is dangerous
Great hunt! I've been on the ground with my Pacseat and leafy suit, at least until the temps get around 70. Thanks for taking us. God bless.
I notice you and Ethan Page wear those leafy suits. I don't understand how ya'll shoot without something to hold that sleeve down.
So I cut away pretty much all of the loose stuff on my left arm and even trim down some of the “leaves” on my chest where the bow string may grab it. With this bow (because it’s a short bow and more aggressive string angle), I don’t have a problem with the string catching loose fabric on my arm. Sometimes I do wear a cheapie Allen (Walmart special) arm guard just to keep loose sleeve material tucked in nice and tight.
@bowhuntingsoul2149 Oh OK. Thanks
Outstanding video and tips!
I can't function without binoculars on my chest.. Even turkey hunting.
I have no use for them. For me the weight is not worth it. If I am on an Elk Hunt I usually have some for evenings I am doing some long range location. Usually my binos are in camp.
I don't go into the woods without them.
