    Good luck with it! I've had issues with the 2 I have. In order to keep my feathers from hitting my limb when I shoot, I had to adjust the angle it goes into the hood. In doing so, there's clearance issues with the section that bends away from the hand. I've also had 2 different gripper brackets break while just shooting. Nothing but Great Northern for me from now on.

    Follow your vids all the time. Luv your trad bow reviews!!! Tried one stick can’t do it. Gun hunting saddle is great but bow hunting it was a shooting adjustment with compound but it’s ok now. Just switched to trad bow and finding saddle super hard since I’m new shooter and having trouble getting to anchor in saddle. Thinking this stand might be answer and maybe a hybrid since already have saddle. I use an old school WindWalker currently but it’s not level capable and the seat is troublesome on my Azz!!! Thinking might need to upgrade to something like this!!! After long term use what’s your opinion now of the stand?

    • @bowhuntingsoul2149
      @bowhuntingsoul2149 Месяц назад

      Shooting out of a saddle is tough, especially with a traditional bow. Compound was easy but with a trad bow I found it hard to steady/anchor my lower half to have a solid base. The novix is great but I did hack the seat up quite a bit on the left side. The seat is way too big in my opinion and I cut it down to have more lower limb clearance on my left side. Pretty sure I have a video on that one as well. It’s a great stand but I hate that the platform is narrow and the cables are too close together. I stand close to the tree and they definitely rub my calves/boots. If It were to do it again, I’d save up and shell out for the LWCG 1.0 stand which has a wider platform. The optimal works be a Lone Wolf Assault II but that’s not made anymore.

    • @pathfinder5804
      @pathfinder5804 Месяц назад

      @@bowhuntingsoul2149 ya that’s been my experience with the saddle and a bow. My base becoming my waist instead of my feet was an adjustment with my compound and with my trad bow I really can’t seem to get into an anchor or to full draw. I’m sure it’s just a mental thing but after shooting now for about 6 months I’m still super new and anything out of the sorts is tough for me. I have an old windwalker which is smaller then some of the saddle platforms out there and it works great but needs a pretty good tree since there’s no adjustments seat or platform wise. I like the Helo, .5 and the XOP retrograde but next purchase I want it to be last. I’m 50yrs old and want my system dialed in so last 10-12-15yrs of my treestand hunting days are spent hunting not dialing in something new every 2-3yrs. Money is steep but don’t really care if I get what I want for a setup. $375 for helo to my door or $225 more for a .5 really once you pass that $300 mark a couple more isn’t that big of an issue.

  • @uncleremus5046
    @uncleremus5046 Месяц назад

    Your old shot isn’t breaking fast enough because your mind is still on the front of the shot (target). One you commit keep the target in your vision but your mind on execution 1000% & that shot will break for you. I don’t like what you’re doing because like a golf swing in archery bad habits will start to feel right. IMO it’s a mistake.
