thank you for bringing us along and sharing your property and favorite spots. there is nothing better then the land and the feeling you get working it...or just watching its evolution... there is a special magic that renews our soul. my property is alot like yours but a micro version..lol our multi levels are very interesting...my understanding is Tiffany's mined these properties in the early 1900,s and our neighbors over the creek still have a working mine. I think the ravines left from the mining add character and history. we have a beautiful Creek running the entire side, also my favorite spot. every now and then I even find a garnet or crystal out here. your video helped re-new the reason we're out here...THANK YOU!! have a Blessed day, looking forward to your next visit. ⛰🌲🏡🌲🐾
@@GrumpyMountainMan Yes you are exactly right! Franklin NC. We are originally from Alaska so needed to stay pretty close to the mountains. our kids are grown and gone but looking forward to having the Grandkids out...our excuse to play in the dirt ☺

My old stomping grounds. Back in my kayaking days the Lower Cullasaja was a great kayaking river. Franklin is a cute town . On gems , my daughter when young would find them on a freshly gravel driveway. The rock quarries would bring it to you :
@@GrumpyMountainMan that so cool! yes we love this area ☺ were by the old cardinal mine. we haven't had a chance to get our Kayak wet yet, but hopefully this summer. we're on our 2nd load of gravel...lots of mica I've noticed funny our drive seems to eat it with all this recent rain ha. we thought about setting up a small flume as we still have tons of pilings we need to move anyway...would just be fun to see what we'd find. there is also an old miners Cabin on the land we want to fix up after our live in shed is complete. its nice to chat with like minded folks. have a great day! 🌤
Great video! Don't mean to beat a dead horse but, glad to see you Separate from the solicitors in the off grid scene... It seems to have gotten worse... Anyway, your property looks great, and I'm getting close to acquiring enough to make a purchase, and can't wait to see more on your shed to cabin lifestyle! SALUTES 🇺🇸
Great tour, really enjoyed it, totally get now why you bought that property and why Dumpy is the perfect vehicle! Lived overseas as a kid, we had white mulberries over there, and I can concur they are sweeter. Appreciate your thoughtful approach and attitude to stewardship of the land you've been blest to caretake. I'm a passionate grouse hunter, but this year the numbers were way down on the property I hunt, so we made a decision simply to not hunt them for a year or two or maybe three, to insure the population rebounds. Would love to see you do a future video on how you create food plots for deer, turkey and grouse to promote wildlife management on your property. Great to see the new channel name up and running!
Exactly. I'm haven't hunted any Grouse . I'm letting them grow. Bobcats,Coyotes,House cats and domestic dogs are too much pressure. I will make sure to show more plots. I'm going to seed plants on the side rows.
Thanks for the tour and sharing. Your place is beautiful and the idea of a Trust is perfect. It needs to be protected so future generations can enjoy God's gift. So thankful you have been chosen to be a steward of this land.
I've got the same kind of thing back behind my barn. It drops down a few levels to a spring fed stream at the back of my property. Thanks for the tour.
Wow , you are blessed. Beautiful property, love your creek. I too had a similar prop dispute with my neighbor, we went on vacation for a week, while we were gone, the sucker put up a new fence, it looked wrong right away ,asked him if he had surveyed, he said yes , would not produce the document. I paid 1 700 bucks to prove him wrong , forced him to move the damb fence. Your heart is in the right place , were only tenants for short time, protect it , enjoy it , take care.
Great tour of your property, very beautiful area. Love that you have mountains, creeks, wildlife and of course lots of trees all around you. Keep up that stewardship mission. It'll reap benefits for years and years to come.
You have some amazing property!! Its just gorgeous, would love another video this summer over the same route you took us during this video just so we can see the difference. Have alot of respect for your care of the animals too.
Just ran across your channel looking how to run ac off grid. Out of all the channels I watch that are off grid, this is hands down the best and most realistic. Most channels are all flash and no bang, not this one. Thanks for the videos.
Great piece of property , Thanks for sharing ! Used to be we could kick up grouse off and on all day where I am from, I haven't seen a single bird or heard one drumming in going on 5 years now.
Wish my property looked nice and green. They added about 200 wind turbines so in the day I see them and at night I see the red lights flashing. We may get snow Monday and last time must of been 8 years ago.
Nice! The property is really beautiful, the elevation changes are really neat. Is there any indicator or way to know if a bit of land is going to have springs coming up on it? Is it just if there's a creek nearby it's likely to happen?
Cool place looking to get something like that right now. Want to raise my kids in the woods. Will all the drop on your land have you thought of doing any micro hydro power
Tell your neighbor to sell me his property, LOL! You have a beautiful place! I actually wanted to buy some land in TN to eventually move to and homestead, but it would be hard for me to look and research. I'm afraid of ending up with troublesome neighbors, I ended up buying some up here in WI a where I can work on it and enjoy it when I can get away...
@@GrumpyMountainMan Sorry to hear that. Maybe better that I bought where I did, though I never thought I'd be moving farther north again. Yeah, I hate when people move in and bring their messed up views that messed up the place they came from. So far my neighbors have been very nice and helpful. Many are like minded and I am learning from them. I hope to phase out of city and suburbia and be more independent. Dreamed about it ever since I was a kid, but circumstances put me in a more urban setting as I grew older. Now the Lord is leading us out, I believe. I bought an off grid Amish farm (cabin, barns and land) near where I used to live, friendly area. Made some Amish friends too, but unfortunately they are moving to another area. I discovered your channel today while searching for solar system videos.
Beautiful place man. Your lil dumppy is cool!!
He sure is handy. Thank you so much for the comment.

The creek you where showing looks alot like our area in fentress county. We have lots of waterfalls and caves here
Fentress is a beautiful area. Nice and rural too. We are getting hammered by out of staters.

Stunning property. Reminds me of where I am from in the hills of Western Massachusetts. We had a creek just like that at my Dad's place.
Nice property 😁👍🏼
Next time I will show it while wearing a bikini

I find most springs in a crook of a ridge. But just walking the property has been my best bet.
Thanks for showing us your beautiful land, and your spirit of stewardship.
Are you driving on the right hand side?
Yes it's a Japanese Kei truck
Beautiful property. How many archers do you have?
I'm blessed with 100 acres. Thank you for watching the video : )

Great tour! Thank you. You said you get a break on fire insurance because of the fire breaks?...
Just insurance mentally for if and when a fire does happen I have a way to fight it.
