In the part where he mentions the Hindu God 'Narayan', I think he meant another God 'Narad' known for his gaslighting powers. Narad is an ardent follower of 'Narayan.' I may be wrong though.
you are correct. Narad is supposed to be a devotee to Narayan and is always chanting his name after every sentence or so going "Narayan Narayan". That's what perhaps caused the slip up because that's a very well-known trait of Narad
Also they did included Hindu Cosmos many times Especially jm de matteis jl dark the sea of Brahma and pralaya And characters like rama And grant Morrison Also did Some elements like garbhodhaka and some places are taken from Hinduism Especially the DC model of creation is more like Lotus bloomed from Vishnu's navel
This sounds incredibly boring. 😅 so, it’s going to focus on a new character self insert meeting the original New Gods characters to become plot armored? Good luck. I’ll check it out but there are so many New Gods characters that need some attention. This pitch would be better as a creator owned book.

I think the reason that the New Gods can't sustain is because people only create apocalypse stories with them.
Please DC comics need to write more of Hindu mythology
