YZ250X is a GNCC bike, they open on a MX track and ride some fire roads, wheres the TREES, CREEKS, HILLS and MUD!!! LOL Guess is not called GNCC Action Magazine huh...

So according to Yamaha's website, the 250 and 250x really only differ in compression and tire size...
Being an absolute rube to the technical aspects of dirtbikes (last rode a dirt bike in the early 2000's), I have to ask...
What effect does lower compression have on a 2-smoker? Shouldn't it be about the same as with 4-stroke engines in that higher compression lends to better power numbers? The 250x shows lower compression than the standard 250...
Also, what exactly are we gaining/losing from the tire configuration? The 250x's tires are slimmer and its rear wheel an inch smaller... What gives here?
So, is having lower compression and smaller tires worth an extra $100?

CK's channel. Rear tire is the same reason Jeep’s will run littl rims and big tires. More sidewall and more rubber.. now lower compression lowered the hp a bit and allows for a less snappy power and I believe

@@JulianJohanson Thanks! The rear tire thing makes sense, though I don't think I'll be getting the 250x; I like the snappiness of a 2-smoker MX bike, especially since my plan is a big-bore kit. :P

yz250x is an offroad bike with soft suspension made for offroad not for huge jumps

I love 2 Stroke but the annoying noise it makes is exactly why people frown upon dirtbikes in general lol.
Its like your idiot red headed Brother always getting in trouble making Brother 4 Stroke look bad. Lol
