I’m running the Copperhead 10 with the 2100kv 1412. It’s been a blast, I ripped out the fusion system after 2 weeks. Both are great systems but I love the modularity of the castle systems. Currently running my castle system in the new RedCat Fusion.
Excellent content on a great motor ;) I grew up with a 1979 XLT with turbine rims, lift bigger tires, and a 351 Cleveland. This was family vehicle #2. Two tone paint. This Bronco looked great alongside the Torino wagon that dad had to put a built 351C in. Mom loved that....lol
I've had my 3500 Puller Pro and Mamba X sitting in a box for months, waiting on me to finish the cage for a bouncer (need to tig the shock mounts).... This gave me some motivation to finish. Fast and controllable.... Seems perfect.
Hahahahahahahaha the scale watermelons!!!!! That is a motor i want!!!! My nephew has that model, we took it off and put a proline gladiator body on it.
I have one In a sport and handed it to my 10y old daughter and she loves it because it can get up and go and she handles it well so it's here truck now she takes good care of it to.so Iam gonna leave it in instead .keep up great work.
I'm running this same motor with a 9t pinion and Mamba X in my TRX4 and love how slow and smooth you can deliver its power. Can't wait to get it out at Proline BTF this weekend.
My TRX6 with a Puller Pro R 4100KV is my all round favorite RC I have. Crawls like a beast and will drag the bumper doing wheelies with a 24mph top speed. So much fun!
I almost cried the first time I scratched my Trx4 79 Bronco. I assembled the Chassis Kit and got the Bronco body separately. Mine came all black with the sunrise and red side decals to choose from. I left it all black and chrome.
Mine was shiny until we took it to the upper peninsula of Michigan and we found some cedar swamps and had some fun that's a little scratched up like to put a new system in it I appreciate the video.👌
Ive used a 3800kv castle slate motor with a mamba x in a trx4. It was incredibly fun, but speaking of stock rigs on the trail......there is a channel called dirt every day on motor trend...they drove stock 70s jeep, and a stock 76 chevy 3/4 ton pickup on the rubicon trail. It was surprising how far you could push something that wasnt modified at all.
Probably going to put that same motor/esc in my trx4 sport. I can gear all the way down to 9t pinion 45t spur if necessary. Two speed may be in its future as well.
I went to your website. You have a fantastic looking store. I'm new to rc cars. I just picked up the TRX-4 crawler kit and I'm about to build my first vehicle. What servo and motor upgrade do you recommend for the TRX-4?
I have the sunset bronco & babied it for about a week "that body is amazing" then had to actually take it out & use it, now its pretty rough but still good. Its kinda top heavy, I rebuilt the shocks & add a small amount off brass & it helped. I just got the jconcepts 89 Ford tucked body but having a hard time taking off the bronco & inner fenders all the lights lol. Might have to put it on my sport!! Awesome vid!! We could all use some scale watermelons!!!🤣🤣
I was just thinking of the perfect set up for my son the other day Puller Pro 3300 in an Element Ecto. Give him good low speed and enough to run in the 1.9 u4 all in one set up. Now to figure out what the perfect setup would be in something like a welded cage 1/10 Monster truck. Im thinking the 3500 would be just right. id like it to be pretty scale for air and power.
You have the best brushed motor I ever used .didn't get a chance to test your winches after shoulder surgery I shut down KMSWINCHES for a year I have reopened KMS Winches ,in June, I give Ben Moren (aka Toyzuki) KMSWINCHES , THANK YOU for the great videos Robert @KMs
My friend has the 79 Bronco, he kept pretty for a little bit but sadly the body got beat up. I'm waiting to see if you test different systems in the Marksman. I have one & wanting support local hobbies stores (from MO also) waiting to see what your opinion would be on ESC/Motors choices would be. I ever decide to switch out the 1080/ HH sport 13T.
I'm new to this is this vehicle factory you talk about licking and unlocking the diffs and 1st and 2nd gear do you do all that from a factory controller please help me understand lol
I have a 79 Bronco with the pro scale light kit with tqi app link and my eldest grandchild and find it very capable on our trail walks, and it aint shiny no more....lol
This was my first 79, I’d peel the red off of it, Then I got the sunshine one can’t recall what they call it. The sunshine one still kind of shiny. And now I have the early bronco
I got the Ranger F150 XLT and I love it and I am going to upgrade the motor in the ECU. I was thinking about putting the 3DS and it but I’m not want to beat it up like what you’re doing I just want a little bit more Earth when it comes to it you know I mean or am I find another Murder I got you I got three motors I’m looking at I don’t know which one I’m gonna put in yet.
OK I thought that I loved my redcat gen8..... But now I can see I have a whole lot of updates... 2 speed transmission and the ability to lock in unlock the axles not to mention the speed with the motor while still being able to crawl.... Please give me a build sheet or something on your rig
your a lil behind the curve here John 😂, the Broncos now old & we've been running your 3500kv Puller Pro in crawlers for a good while now Ha Ha...I think you need to get outta the work room for a bit & catch up LOL....Great vid nice rig
Man I hate to see and hear those bronco body’s take tumbles. Those body’s are so nice looking of course I’ve never seen one close but from what I’ve seen on videos they look awesome!!!
Which do you prefer of the SCX10:3 and the Trx-4? Trx with the locking diff option and two speed? I find that the two speed in the SCX10:3 is more of a gimmick than something that's actually useful, only way for me to tell which gear I have is to do speed runs and see which setting gives the highest speed, for slow crawling there's no difference to me
I have both and I can say that I like my TRX-4 much more. The SCX 10.3 is a decent trail truck but you are right, the 2 speed is useless. It had almost no noticeable impact on how fast it went in either gear. The dig is nice but the stock servos are terrible. TRX-4 has a 2 speed that has a noticeable difference in speed and I do like the locking diffs, even if its very limited in real use. In the end, I wish I had just got a builders kit when it comes to the 10.2, a better truck than the 10.3, in my opinion.
@@Bird7x I'm getting more and more convinced that I should sell the Axial and get me a Trx-4, I would like to have a kit without the electronics though and knowing Traxxas that won't ever happen. The new Bronco with the "come here" solution to the bosy mount seem way batter than Axials stupid hidden clips. I've had hidden clips on my Ascender for four years and they are way easier to use than what Axial created
@@patrikmoller3643 For me the Axial 10.3 was just a bust. It is basically a 10.2 with a crappier transmission. I love the ar45 axles and as I said before, the dig is a nice option. The 10.3 body that came with the kit is the best they have done so far and it looks great. However, the 10.3 isn't cheap and when I compare it to a similar setup TRX4, I know its not close for me and many people that I run with. That isn't to say the TRX4 is vastly superior but it is to say that the value for your money seems more in favor of Traxxas.
Hey I was wondering I have puller pro 540 r 2100kv L motor and is it the same specs as the puller pro 540xl 2100kv version are they exactly the same just different written on your website
Mr. Holmes, how do I find this synchronous rectification setting in castle link? I have auto drag brake and mine seems very similar where giving it throttle will lower the drag brake like a one foot driving setting.
Just put a castle mamba x in it with a 3800kv motor and set your auxiliary control to max power adjustment. Pretty much the same thing. Can adjust top speed with the push of a button. I use the fly sky noble nb4 radio and I can fine tune the auxiliary function with a dial. I wish they would put 2 aux wires so you can choose 2 separate functions to tune with your radio
I had that Bronco but traded it. The body is nice, but way to big for the crawling I do. The 2 speed and remote locking diffs were a waste as far as I was concerned.
And I got the Ranger I will I’m going to get the bronco what you have I like to get a newer bronco the Chevy truck and the and the trailblazer so mad to get granny need to get four more of them, so yes I do want to get the crawlers and I didn’t want them before now. I want one well I got one now I got a small won the small bronco TRX4m all black and I like to trade it and get rid of a knot wrong with it I want to ran it wants the good little truck but I wanted the full size so that’s why I went out and bought the Ranger F150 XLt so I’m going to get the Chevy truck and the two broncos and the blazer Shawna take a while, but I will eventually get them
I just bought a 4300kv motor . I know nothing. My first build. Already on my second receiver. Esc and drive shafts. The first i was dumb too dumb. And therefore i went power to much power which is dumb to dumb. But i had no plans no off the shelf and hooby shops is the lovely republic of rsa is charging customers for load shedding. Call mr up i live on a farm. You wanna sell to south africa. Here i am
That sort of low speed control on a motor that fast is awesome.
I Don't know what was more disturbing the Maniacal laughing or the gardening 😂 🤣
Hearing you laughing like a kid at 6:10 warms my heart.
I love the maniacal laughing so much!!

Love having the option of speed when you need it. Looking to replace my defender parts to 33 or 35kv. And 2 speed to me is just awesome
Ive got a PP 4500 in my bomber on 4s, absolutely love its ridiculousness, but i enjoy driving the trx with open diffs, its a challenge but fun
Man...I really want one of those broncos now!
good to see ya havin fun
This is awesome 😎
Love that 2nd gear laugh
I almost cried the first time I scratched my Trx4 79 Bronco. I assembled the Chassis Kit and got the Bronco body separately. Mine came all black with the sunrise and red side decals to choose from. I left it all black and chrome.
I had a velineon setup in my Capra, it did pretty well for not having any sort of crawl functions. Fun to hoon around in.

Yeah the first scratch is always the hardest!! After that the rest is just easy, just got the early bronco wonder how it would do with this system hey
Great video of the Bronco and i heard some scale morning doves as well 😂
I just picked up this motor on the fire sale.....cant wait!!!!!!😅
nice!!
5sec in and we saw the famous trx4 roll, twice 😂
Mines blacked out with chopped bed, 3300kv SD in mine.
awesome

Have the sunburst new in box that I have been holding back for a couple years. But I do have another bronco and the blazer built.
Can make some good wine with that elderberry in the future

Hey Robert! Ben has been talking with me about controllers.
ain't gonna lie, now i wanna see it on the track lol.
Besides all the slashes and Xmaxxs, most people that race on our offroad track are Trx4's, its a blast with high range :D
Watz hapning Homes..nice rig
Slow speed is a lot better than I would’ve thought for sure
You need the X with the white wire to take off the drag brake.
WOW WOW HAHAHAHA i love when you put second gear.
I done the monster truck thing with mine..this motor will help 👍
Awesome video bro. New subscriber here.

I love doing wheelies in my TRX fours
Excellent 👍👍
i burst at the scale watermelon 😂😂😂😂😂😂
That was awesome! So did you have to replace the speed control also? The 3500kv really made a huge difference wow 😮
Think he is running castle copperhead
Copperhead

Will the power shred drive train. I called traxxas, they said designed for brushed motor 21t on 3 s.
Done bout shredded my Bronco
I bought the 2200 last year, but now I see I should of bought the 3500. Next on my list of motors to buy.

I've got to have more speed out of my Bronco but have been told that these are not meant to handle that kind of power. Did you change the gears?
Stock, just fine so far
i feel like the 21' bronco looks better. i have a blue one ands its a beauty😍
Hooligan!! :)
Evil. Lets us know if the gears last. Impressive.
So far so good! But I'm kinda gentle on it
Freakin heck yeah 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

what programming is on the esc? it sounds so quite whithout the "castle whine"
The puller pro is quiet. Programmed just like on my last programming vid
Man I hate to see and hear those bronco body’s take tumbles. Those body’s are so nice looking of course I’ve never seen one close but from what I’ve seen on videos they look awesome!!!
Copperhead good to go out of the box for this or does it need special tuning????
For crawling, I'd recommend a tune
You should get into the Traxxas app and make it so you can lock the rear axle first.
D110 is 12.8 and the Blazer is 12.3 I believe.
lmao love it

Crawling in 2nd gear will have less control and build more motor heat.
So yea, with a good brushless system the two speeds aren’t needed.

Test some your brushed motors in that wheelie machine

It is not a setting, it is always on.
Love it. Just don’t love that castle ESC noise!
"Like new, only driven on the street once"
Just to church...
Because I had to say a big prayer over this one...
"I live my life one fortieth of a mile at a time"
Is this on a 2s or 3s battery?
3s
I'm still waiting on someone to come up with a two speed for us Element guys.

could probably do that with the aux wire input. I never use them
