- I catch up on where I've been the last two weeks, talking about my day trip to Girne from Nicosia (in the unofficial Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus). I then flash back to my first time in Milan, Italy, showing some of the city and explaining where I'm heading next.

I'm Jason, a full-time British Travel Vlogger and RUclipsr who's been to 55 countries. I've been travelling around the world full-time since 2017. So far, my trips have taken me to Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East and the Americas.
I have travel series' from many of the world's best (and least) known destinations. I filmed the first vlogs on my channel in the summer of 2016 after spending a year living in China. A proper solo trip around Eastern Europe followed after graduating from University in the summer of 2017, taking me to Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Kosovo. This trip marked the start of my efforts to make a RUclips full-time job.
After that European trip I went heavily into exploring Asia, visiting India, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Pakistan, the Philippines, South Korea and Kazakhstan (seeing me cover a lot of Far East and Southeast Asia in particular).
I have also travelled to North Africa and the Middle East fairly extensively over the last five years, filming videos in Turkey, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan, Israel and Palestine.
To date, I have not yet been to Australasia or South America. Though I am hoping to visit the latter sometime in 2022, along with a first stop in the Caribbean.
I've travelled to North America just once as a RUclipsr, visiting Mexico in 2021. Though I have been to both the USA and Canada, this was as a child on family holidays.
So far in 2022 I've taken my first trip to Sub Saharan Africa, visiting both Kenya and Tanzania, before making my way to the Middle East, stopping in Dubai and Lebanon. Europe followed, starting with Cyprus, covering both the Greek and Turkish sides of the divided island.

💓💓💓😍💎
don't they have shaving cream and razors in Cyprus? are you still with this Filipino girl Jason?
❤️💚 💚❤️Welcome to Morocco🇲🇦 the most beautiful country in Africa ✔️💯you should visit morocco
Jason your videos are great and I like the way you speak - clear etc.
Loved seeing your actual experiences with filming on your last day in Cyprus. It was like watching outtakes, which I always find entertaining. Also glad you include your story about chasing the dog that had your mike while people laughed at your predicament. Given how professional you are in your videos, that footage and story added an even more human element to your interesting travel videos. Best, Sylvia 💛
That’s nice to know. I’ll try to include more of that sort of stuff in the future.
Nice and informative video as always.
I kept looking for your video of Girney or Kyrinia as we in southern Cyprus know it by, I enjoyed it and was sorry about the weather, unbelievable, it's not very often we have storms and it had to be that day but at least I saw some of the castle and will make more effort to go check it out. Thank you .
I love your channel, I just stumbled upon it. I hope you keep doing what you're doing, it takes a long time to become a household name. I think you have the finest travel channel on RUclips.
Thanks for the kind words.
I really enjoyed the video, I was in Milan a few times myself and found it captivating each time, at a different season. So your video reminded me in a good way.
Thank you1
Hi Jason, nice to see you back.
You describe very clearly. We have been three years ago. Wonderful place to visit. Well done keep it up. Show your family once.. God bless you all.
👌👌👌👌☺️☺️
Best videos I’ve seen so far thanks
Hi Jason Billam, I hope you exploring Milan, Italy!
You're really good at this Jason! I like the way you pull out the highlights of each place. Been to Milan and followed the exact same itinerary. I am living in Limassol, sorry that you didn't make it here. Next time stay longer!
Wow great coverage and video eork so professional its great to have seen Milan and De Vinci Last Super. Thanks I really enjoy your trips. Cheers and Peace
Lovely place. Most unique so far. Keep going to these rare places. Thanks 🙏
Broke my neck thanks to that wind tilting the camera 😆
Jason, another fantastic video. Keep them coming and enjoy your time with your family.
Thank you Peter!
Great videos I look forward to them have been to a lot of places you visited. Enjoy seeing Milan & Cyprus again but haven't been to the northern part.
Thanks Mary
Happy to see you still making videos!! Come to New Zealand next bro!!
Wow, that dog swiping your microphone and the chase killed me 😳 that did sound like a comical scene in a movie. Glad you got it back and are okay. Great video, looking forward to the upcoming videos.
I was missing the videos, so it was a great update and as always great images, I am looking forward the next.
Thanks!
Hi Jason,
Thanks for sharing your trip of Milan, and for a very interesting and informative video 👍
Thanks for the comment!
Glad to know that you are okay, Jason! Waiting for the next video! 😃
Thanks - coming soon
Really interesting,as usual. Can't wait to see your Sicily video as I want to go there this coming fall.
Thanks - hope the Sicily video helps!
I’ve been going to Cyprus for 49 years, I still find new places, you only scratched the surface, definitely go again x
There you go!
LOVE Milan. the city is actually much more than just fashion. It has history, culture, mix of beautiful vintage and moderns. My first European city that i visited. Wanna go back so bad.
Fabtastic Jason always!
Jason, they must have so many Italian foods all over Italy!
Welcome back. The dog might have been plating fetch the stick, John in Chicago
Great video, Jason! I love Milan. I think it has a lot to offer. The link for the apartment doesn't work.
We must have just passed each other. I was in Milan on Sunday, June 26, 2022. Did most of what you did. I saw the Last Supper in 1996 on my first trip to Milan.
Great video.
Hands down the biggest croissant I’ve ever seen in my life. And Milan’s malls are certainly fancier than the local Westgate.
And thanks to you and that dog you’ve created an anecdote that will bring joy to people for decades to come, so that’s somewhat of a comfort given the indignity that your microphone went through.
That’s true
Jason, you missed La Scala Opera house in Milan - the real home of Italian Opera and probably the world's second most noted opera house!
Love Milan. Was lucky enough to get to the derby at the San Siro many years ago, and it was incredible. Milan's culture is more hidden away than Rome, for example, but still very much worth exploring. Worth looking around I Navigli too - a nice canal area. The Last Supper is very impressive at first sight, but once you learn about how Leonardo used the golden ratio in it, then it becomes something quite breathtaking.
Never been on the Northern Side of Cyprus , I once had friends and relatives that lived there pre 1974.
Love the dog story!
Haha
This is one of your finest videos ever, Jason. Love it!
Happy to hear that
Hi Jason… I’m currently in cyprus and planning to cross Ledra so just wondering was it all fine getting back to the south?
As always, love your vids. Have you put Iran, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Bosnia, etc on your list? Many are opening up for tourists.
Hello! I am glad to hear you are okay 👍. I love watching your videos 📹! Keep up the good work 👏.
Thank you :)
@@JasonBillamTravel I mean it! Just stay safe 🙏
Please go back Cyprus. Sorry people did not help you with the dog. Great video!
I am very happy to see that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus has remained immune to the ever-changing fashions that have seen its southern neighbour become a somewhat homogenous ‘tourist destination’ where the native cuisine has been replaced by generic fast food franchises; arts and craft markets replaced by malls. Where local café, restaurant and bar nightlife has been swamped by ‘theme’ pubs and night clubs. Not that there’s anything wrong with that but some say it has lost the very ‘soul’ that first drew visitors to these delightful shores. TRNC offers its visitors the "real Cyprus Feeling" with its less costly lifestyle, traditional Turkish Culture and the crime free zone even after dark.
we loved Milan the Domo was amazing we went on the top of the roof. we had a tour of the Last Supper (English) and the detail of restoration was very interesting.Loved the video, thank you for sharing and bringing back memories.
If you do an Algeria trip Jason I will do it in a heart beat.
I am going to Canada on July 16 and I have Canadian money at home. I want to use them when we across from Detroit.
Come to indonesia again to explore labuan bajo and lake Toba
The next time you pass by Milan let Me know, i can do guide for you, to see all the hidden location that tourist don't know!
Next time you must go up on the rooftop of the Duomo, it's amazing!
I was tight on time so I skipped it - something I now regret!
Jason Billam, today it's my birthday and I turned 34!
Enjoyed the video. I'm very curious about Northern Cyprus now, and have added it to my ever-growing list of places to visit! It wasn't really clear from the video, but do they drive on the left there, as they do in the south?
A quick point about your Morocco trip. Unless you're planning to fly to Laayoune in Western Sahara and to head south from there, I'm afraid you won't be heading into The Sahara. Many tour companies lead unsuspecting tourists to believe that they're in The Sahara, when in fact they're in one of the Ergs, which I'm afraid are not part of The Sahara. This is particularly annoying to those in the know, especially if people are following a lifelong dream to visit The Sahara, only to find out after the event that they haven't actually been there at all. Not that the Ergs are not impressive though, particularly Erg Chebbi, which has some wonderful dunes. Some of the other Ergs are less impressive, unfortunately. Fingers crossed that your trip includes Erg Chebbi! 😊
Yep They drive on the left
Yep, they still drive on the left in the north! Thanks for that context about Morocco. If it’s not technically the Sahara it’s certainly desert!
@@JasonBillamTravel No denying that it's desert, just not the Sahara Desert! 😉
Love your content.🇰🇪💯🔥🤝🏾
Thank you!
I was so impressed by the setting and the fresco of Last Supper. I had no idea it was so large. Also impressive was the equally large fresco on the opposite wall. The experience kind of took my breath away being in the presence of one of the most famous works of art. When I first stood in line (for 45 minutes) I found that I was just buying a ticket for a 4 PM entry. So to while away the time I went to the Sforza Palace and spent a couple of hours gawking at all within including the last and unfinished sculpture of Michelangelo. Capped that day off with a wonderful dinner of Milanese food. It was quite a day.
Sounds great!
You should to come Tunisia 😍❤
I shot a series of videos there back in 2019 - not sure when I’ll next be back!
@@JasonBillamTravel Add Morocco to your bucket list
Yeah see it and I like your style but they are many outdoors activities in my country it's interested to visit
Great❤Duomo is pronounced ' Do-mo', .NICE accent❤❤
No, it's Duomo not domo
do you remember me?? i see you in milan and i asked if you have a you tube channel
Church is very colourful and good statues .The painting is good. Many followers of Christ still use deceit.
Jou have not heard of Morocco
If you loved Cyprus you should definately visit Greece one day😊🇬🇷
I’ve been twice - but I’ve never vlogged it. Would be fun to go deep into Greece (mainland & island hopping) one day.
@@JasonBillamTravel Yes, it would be great!😊
I remeber your fathers was going to have a birthday and you were all hoing to mert him Did that take place
Waaw
Kyrenia is not the old name of Girne. Kyrenia IS the name of Kyrenia the Greek name of a Greek city occupied by the Turks after the 1974 invasion. The Turks then called it Girne
You should go to the church where The Last Supper is #milan
Visited Kyrenia when the border first opened as my husband was a small child when Turkey invaded and had never seen the north of Cyprus. He was quite emotionally upset at seeing the desecration of our churches and cemeteries on our way up there and would not go in the castle because he felt insulted that he should be made to pay. Not a good experience for us on the whole.
Sorry to hear that.
so you're telling me I went to Milan, and didn't know the last supper was right there?
Hi idol
Hi from Palermo 👋 Let me know if you need any support or advice 👍you take care
Rossoneri FTW
U r so handsome
😎💓💓💓💓😍😍😍💎
Thank you a lot for your objektive clips about cyprıus. I write this especially because turkish cypriots a realty that greek cypriots don't accept .
How's your brother
Jason you have lovely lips and a always a well groomed beard. Great videos, James.
Went to Milan years ago but sadly it was probably the worst place I went. Wasn't much to see there. But anyone who goes to Milan should definitely take the train to Lake Como...the trains are much cheaper in Italy than they are in the UK. There's so many places you can take the train to but when we went, we only realised at the end of our holiday.
Don't bother with the AC/Inter Milan museum as they don't even let you take photos. They don't tell you that until after you have brought tickets.
Jason you should visit Porto in Portugal. That's a really nice place.
@@jasonbillam Hello fake person...log off and disappear. You have been reported
mashallah
Turkish Cyprus?......it is occupied by the Turkish army, it is not a state and only Turkey recognizes it as an independent republic, territories occupied by the Turkish army are... Cyprus, one is "pure" "Cypriot Democracy, the other is illegal occupation
based on your facial features you actually have turk blood in you too
I think Milan is a complete bore.
I’m not the biggest Milan fan. Apart from that very impressive church and the adjacent Galleria, it is quite an underwhelming city and In my opinion, the least attractive city in the country. Miles and miles of houses and flats and sprawling suburbs apart from that pristine pocket where you went. It’s all about shopping and your social status, the general vibe of the place is just off.
Italians from Milan, don’t come for me… Just Not my cup of ‘espresso’ 😆
