Uncle Phil was firm, and he was tough. But he never crossed the line, and if not perfect, always acted from a place of love. There's a huge gulf between "father" and "dad", and for Will just as much as for his own blood children, Phil was a dad.
As much as we never want to see a good thing end, this was the perfect ending for the series. I miss them all...especially Uncle Phil! RIP James Avery. We love you.
With the Fresh prince and Martin Episodes running in the 90s was the best Era man I miss the good day’s no hate everyone was showing love in world and if it was any hate we didn’t know much until this social media era ...
Great ending to an amazing show. A few years ago I heard there was talk of a reboot involving Will Smith. Nice idea but please no. Reboots are rarely as good as the original & it just wouldn't be the same without James Avery/ Uncle Phil. And part of the reason Fresh Prince was so successful was the closeness of the cast.
It was really really sad to see the banks leaving out of the mansion we went out to East LA Hillary got a job offer in New York and Ashley became a model on commercials But as soon as well finish school he’s moving back to Philly but he had no choice but when Carlton runs downstairs with his pants off he rushes out of the front door which was so funny

When they changed vivs, his bond with Phil seemed much stronger than before.
