This line up was one of the best Ringo had that I would have loved to see. Greg Lake Howard Jones Roger Hodgson Sheila E Ian Hunter besides others. Ringo is brilliant to have this fantastic group ! Cheers
I saw this concert at the Broward County Civic Center. I had been waiting my entire adult life to hear "In the Court of the Crimson King" played live. Saw King Crimson in 1973 but they did not play it. Only when Greg Lake began playing this did it connect that he was the original singer for this song. His voice was beautiful and he sang and played perfectly. I would never imagine hearing this played by Greg, with back ups from Howard Jones, Roger Hodgson (Supertramp was my favorite band then), Ian Hunter and Ringo playing drums with Sheila Easton. Had a feeling that my life was musically complete in hearing this. I was very fortunate.
I saw Howard Jones perform this number at party in the park at Tatton park and few years ago alongside boyz 2 Men, he stole the show big time, a really nice bloke too, I was cooking for the VIPs, got to go in the show after i finished, I'm glad i did
No Hairstay, this was Ringo Starr's All Starr Band Tour, with Greg Lake in the Band. Ringo Tours every 2-3 years with a different band of famous musicians who get to do their own songs during the show like Peter Frampton, Billy Squire, Colin Hay from men @ Work, the late Billy Preston, Burton Cummings, Richard Marx, Joe Walsh and the guys from this Band-Rodger Hodgson (Suupertramp), Greg, Sheila E, Ian Hunter.
It's 3:30am and I don't know how I ended up on this side of RUclips, but it was worth it!!! SHEILA E AND RINGO ON POCKET PATROL!!! Owwwweeeee!!! FIRE!!
Sheila looks lovely, as always, 😊. Ringo,Howard/ band provide a beautiful version of this song.I believe they all enjoyed playing with each other. Their harmonious chorus is SWEET. 🤩💜
Love the song! Two drummers, Awesome! when they're together like these two, and Ringo didn't accidentally play with one of the greatest bands of all time. Flashy? No. Rock Solid! Love - Love - Love
To all the "2 drummers" haters... #1: you are hating on some of the BEST musicians (you realize that this flawless performance was recorded LIVE, right?) and #2): just listening to this, I didn't realize that 2 drummers were playing until I read the comments. It is RARE to have two drummers with such talent that they can sound like only one amazing drummer is playing. This performance is gold.
He's had some good lineups, but this one from 2001 might be the best. Greg Lake, Roger Hodgson, Mark Rivera, Sheila E, Howard Jones, Ian Hunter --- DAMN!!!!!
i'm so glad i grew up in the 80's real musicians.just think they made all that great music without autotune.and they don't need 50 backup dancers to hide their lack of talent.
I just saw the Song That Changed My Life about Howard Jones. I didn't find it on RUclips yet but the program was about Howard Jones and his life and music. This is a great song.
Only RINGO could summon this Star - Band :D Ringo Starr - vocals, drums Greg Lake - bass, vocals Roger Hodgson - guitar, vocals Ian Hunter - guitar, vocals Howard Jones - keyboards Mark Rivera - saxophone Sheila E. - drums
First of all Ringo replaced Pete Best on drums for Beatles. From the start early 1980s, being a keyboard player, I fell in love with Howard Jones seeing him live twice. First at Philadelphia Spectrum in 1986, second time he was all grand piano at Theatre of the Living Arts in Philadelphia 1992. I was 5th row, incredible show. A phenomenal keyboard performer, like most of my favorite musicians, British!
Hojo was always the most underrated musician in the 80s. He was so ahead of his time not to mention his songs are such quality. I see him literally every tour and he was the very last major show I saw 3 days before Covid shut everything down. He has gotten better with age.,still sounds amazing and the man is STYLISH! I got to meet him and he's the most pleasant man . I can't wait until he tours again.
Came here out of curiousity, never heard this song live but totally predicting audience participation purely from listening to the studio recording. Medal earnt.
I saw this lineup in 2001. Obviously besides seeing the Fabulous Ringo, Howard was a favorite of mine always & it was so much fun to see him do one of my favorite 80’s songs that night.
The full line up (according to Wikipedia) is Ringo (Drums) Sheila E (Percussion) Howard Jones (Keyboards) John Bonham (2nd drum kit) Herbie Hancock (Keyboards) Ralf Hutter (Keyboards) Leif Garret (Guitar) Man Ray (Bass) Tony Benn (Clarinet) Ed Miliband (Bass Clarinet) Mrs Doubtfire (Sax) "Tubbs" (Tambourine) "Crockett" (Elf) King Henry 8th (Roland Jupiter 8 and TR808) La la Mrs Piss (BV) David Bowie (BV) Finger Strike Shit Storm (BV- Bass) and Little Richard (Security) and being wikipedia I have no reason to doubt that (citation needed).
Haha, now for the REAL line-up: Ringo Starr - drums, vocals Roger Hodgson (Supertramp) - guitar, keyboards, vocals Ian Hunter (Mott The Hoople) - guitar, keyboards, vocals Howard Jones - keyboards, vocals Greg Lake (Emerson, Lake & Palmer and King Crimson) - bass, acoustic guitar, vocals Sheila E. - drums, vocals Mark Rivera - saxophone, percussion, guitar, bass, harmonica, flute, vocals
I am a big fan of the Howard Jones and I think this is a better version than the original. Also a fan of the others both in their solo and respective band but together they know how to make a good song better
Ian Hunter, Roger Hodgson, Greg Lake, Ringo Starr, Sheila E, Mark Rivera and Howard Jones. WHAT A LINEUP!

One of my favorite songs from the 80's. Awesome to see Ringo on drums too.
One of my most favourite songs. So inspiring. I really need a lift right now and this lifts my spirits. Go Howard!!!
What a band. Howard has always been criminally underappreciated... brilliant songwriter, musician, performer. Now back to my HJ 12" singles!
This all-star band led by Ringo and his cohorts still rock this video 11 years later on Tube!

Isnt there just something about Howard's energy that makes you smile? Great guy and musician.
a very underrated song writer, kudos Howard Jones.
Howard Jones classic 80’s pop with great lyrics

i'm so glad i grew up in the 80's real musicians.just think they made all that great music without autotune.and they don't need 50 backup dancers to hide their lack of talent.
I think I saw Greg Lake on stage...Can anyone confirm that I may be right?! Love this song since first time I hear it!!!!! This version fits so good.
Yes, is Greg Lake.
I just saw the Song That Changed My Life about Howard Jones. I didn't find it on RUclips yet but the program was about Howard Jones and his life and music. This is a great song.

Jones/Starr/Lake/Hodgson = Stellar Ringo Compilation Band.
Just noticing how high Sheila E lifts her hand when she smacks the snare. That beat is SOLID. Such a groove.

Hello Denise ❤❤
If I dressed like Howard, I would be locked up in a psych ward. Not that he isn't pulling it off, but I couldn't.
Sheila E ❤️

Very talented man Howard Jones!
Still sounds great after all these years. I was wondering if that was Sheila E.. Had to come to the comments.. Great vid!!
This would have been epic to have been at. Howard Jones and Ringo Starr the best of 60s and 80s all rolled up into one.
I can't believe his voice is the same from the 80s. Damn some people get old peoples voice and he is ageless.
Brilliant absolutely amazing
Came here out of curiousity, never heard this song live but totally predicting audience participation purely from listening to the studio recording. Medal earnt.
Ringo Starr the greatest.
I saw this lineup in 2001. Obviously besides seeing the Fabulous Ringo, Howard was a favorite of mine always & it was so much fun to see him do one of my favorite 80’s songs that night.
