I was changing my shock absorbers today and the drive shaft wasn’t attached to the car. The driveshaft/ axle fell out of place and oil started spilling out. I pushed axle back in. Please tell me what I do next? Is pushing the drive shaft back in and adding transmission oil the right thing to do. Or do I need to take to shop to add seals or something like that? Thank yo

Hi, if the car doesn't lost to much oil, you don't need to add mer oil immediately. Just push the driveshaft in his place

It's same if you remove the shaft from gearbox. If you remove just the reight outer part, you don't need to drain the oil
