    Sauce is so humble, articulate and polite. The way he talks strat or about the game itself is always very insightful, calculated and his thoughts are very well articulated. He's also an absolute beast seemingly in all variants of poker.Especially for NLH & PLO.

    I think Sauce is one of the best guests you've had. He sounds like such a nice guy and speaks highly of his opponents, rarely derogates them. He's smart and interesting, refreshing to listen to. And of course he is a PLO boss... Good job Joey

    Woman don't get into poker purely on the way woman grow up. Very few people get into poker because they enjoy playing cards. I would say 95% of people get into poker through being exposed to gambling in general. I have friends that love poker and others who think it's the most boring thing in the world. The ones that don't care also don't really like gambling in general. Think about how many girls growing are exposed to gambling at all.

    • @BobBob-xk1wd
      @BobBob-xk1wd 8 лет назад

      When it comes to intellectual testing woman innately perform very slightly better than men on average. It's not an intellectual issue. It's emotional hindrance. Biological hormonal/emotional difference's between men and woman cause a distinct difference between the effort one is willing to put into something to achieve.
      It's the same thing that makes woman on average, better caretakers, they're biologically emotionally different. They hate it being said and call it a generalisation and claim misogyny, but it's no different to saying on average men are physically stronger. They just don't deny that because it visually verifiable. For whatever reason, Factual matter which aren't externally scene are currently being socially denied. It's absolutely retarded.

    • @BobBob-xk1wd
      @BobBob-xk1wd 8 лет назад

      Not anymore, woman on avg have an IQ of 103, male avg is 100. The difference is negligible and makes no difference to anything, and more than anything it'd be egotistical men who believe themselves to be highly intelligent taking the test and slightly lowering the male avg. Regardless, as commonsense dictates (and we both agree on), men/woman don't have any intellectual difference.
      In the case of poker, it's not perceived as an intellectual field to a lot of those outside of it, and even those at the lower end of the game don't truly understand it. People grasp the fact it's a skill game, but don't understand how much of a skill game. They don't get the fact the game can be conceptually analysed in a way that's similar to chess and how truly complex it can become. For the average outsider it's a game of gambling that some blokes play at the pub, which probably doesn't entice woman.
      I don't know that it's a lack of interest in all intellectual fields, I just don't think woman can compete with the innate emotional biological factors which give men more ambition/drive/confidence etc. Chess is probably the best example of this seeing as it's not male dominated in numbers at all yet only 1 or 2 females sit within the top 100 chess players in the world. Just as many woman play chess as men. It's really the only good explanation.
      When you look at science/engineering fields which are once again male dominated, you could be correct that it's simply a lack of interest, which again are related to emotional differences. You certainly can't scream feminism anymore, there's 34 times more (not an exaggeration, this was the exact figure when i checked) more scholarships available for young woman in science/engineering than there are for men at the College I attend, and a similar amount in all surrounding areas.

      Lol I'm really not bothered... and Eh, no source available, memorised the number from something I read maybe 6 months ago. Tried searching again, couldn't find it. Article could've be entirely wrong.
      After a quick search every article is saying something different, the only common denominator is that woman's avg IQ scores have recently risen (obviously due to the fact they previously face oppression when it came to accessing education). Regardless for all intensive purposes, theoretical learning potential isn't a factor to be considered when it comes to prevalence in intellectual fields between genders.

    Liv Boeree is on the way high side of IQ variance for women today, especially good-looking women. So using her as a significant sample for women and poker ability isn't totally suitable.

    • @TJWhitey38
      @TJWhitey38 8 лет назад

      Yeah you could have a point, but that also brings up Joe's thought earlier. She obviously has a ton of other assets/incomes including a PS sponsorship, and that unfortunately makes it so that she won't really feel the same pressure to study and improve the way a non-marketable male that had her same early results would. I'm sure her fame/promotion inflates her perceived game as well. So that has to be factored in plus her sponsorship puts her into very sharky European fields. Didn't she post great results in more mid stakes live MTTs?

    • @TJWhitey38
      @TJWhitey38 8 лет назад

      I just got to glancing at some tracked scores and yeah it's clear she puts in a ton of volume. but she has some nice recent scores in the EPT, I'm sure those didn't come that easily.
      But yeah ultimately in the huge graph of variance big scores don't tell much about her actualized EV.

    • @TJWhitey38
      @TJWhitey38 8 лет назад

      I hear you I hear you. I don't think she spews off a ton of bullets against the world's best without her sponsorship though. She's probably a good NL player with the hype put aside, but yeah she's likely to be known more for her attractiveness and promotion than game skill.
