A fully 3D, 4 minute(ish)stage with awesome level design with shortcuts literally everywhere. Definitely a top tier boost level. :) It also looks great, love the crystal area. Enjoy the runs, lads!
It took me this long to realize Sonic levels could really benefit from having pedestrians line the streets in the levels. Makes big environments feel less empty.
Probably the only complaint I have for the level. The village design really kind of brought out the fact Sonic Team, or really anyone, ever really have background NPCs in their games outside of Adventure and Unleashed, and they were never to be seen in actual stages, just in the Overworld areas.
I’ve heard about how fans heap too much praise on fan designed levels and games, but this level mod truly deserves high praise. It’s not just some linear level with nice background aesthetics, it has a great music, a great sense of speed, plenty of side paths and obstacles and it’s completely in 3D.
I wouldn't even tell if this was a mod or an actual stage from the game, that's how good this custom stage is. Good camera dynamics, excellent use of the environment and stage props, good flow, and even different routes which I had been begging for when it comes to level design. GG
This has literally everything I want in a boost game: A fast paced cinematic feel to the gameplay Multiple pathways to get to the goal No 2D It’s incredible!
This is awesome, I love it when modders take it all away and make their own original level mods, I wish for more of these in the future. Plus this level gives me Adventure’s Ice Cap and Unleashed’s Holoska/Cool Edge vibes.
Sonic Generations never cease to get some love. Glad to see the support it still gets to this day with new content. Ngl, this stage is a great addition to the game. Props to his creator 💯
@Federal Bureau of Investigation While that is very true. Spark the Electric Jester is a good example of this being in fact possible. with a majority of the work on their games being done by LakeFeperd himself, with music and artwork being done by 3rd parties. The composer he has used in the past being Falk Au Young (probs butchered the name) who you may have recognized as being one of the organizers of the 25th Anniversary symphony. Difficult or not, I'd happily throw my money at it regardless.
I like how this stage has that looks cartoony but at the same time feels somewhat lifelike in some areas. Feels like Sonic Unleashed and Colors combined in terms of visual aesthetics.
don’t wanna be that “sega hire this man” guy but this is the kind of level design I love the most in sonic, just so many pathways and ways to play a stage while still delivering on speed and platforming
This is an perfect example of boost and level design at its top! If all modern sonic stages where like this, 'cause the time was of 3:32.73, acheived by someone that clearly knew what was doing, for more casual players, this could easily be an five minute stage, besides the revisites to see what was missed in the first run, it's amazing and I wish that SEGA would learn more from its comunity!
I had to take double shift at the beach.... When I got home I played this level for like 2 hours straight (btw Jet Set Sonic works the best for me cuz he looks like skatin u know....:D)
This is really good! I don’t think there’s anything wrong with 2D sections, at all, and it’s disheartening to see people not acknowledge their value Still, very impressive level
You could have fooled me saying it's some long lost level extracted from some 3d sonic game, while i take some issues with a few minor design decisions it's still very impressive.
I've downloaded thid mod and all the required oned listed and I know I have a good enough PC but the game just crashes everytime I try to run it. Any ideas of what I could do? Maybe try to manual install?
This is definitely peak Boost design. Multiple routes, different styles, not punishing you for messing up a jump, and tons of control over your route. I haven't seen level design this good since Unleashed.
4 GB RAM (yikes) Intel Pentium Silver (yikes) 1.10 GHZ (yikes) with a Quad Core SanDisk SSD with 500 GB DirectX 12 (I think) Windows 10 FYI: I can run GRID 2 (2013) and DiRT 3 (2011) at acceptable framerates, but not Sonic Generations
@@iceclimberswereamistake its the processor holding you back, pretty sure minimum processor you can run gens on is an i3, but you still need some mod to optimize ram usage like Direct 9 EX
@@warcriminalvids Fair point Though I can run the original DiRT Rally at higher framerates despite the fact that Pentium Silver isn’t mentioned in the list of compatible graphics cards

👍
I like the top routes better, more scenery.
I don't wanna say "SeGa HiRe ThiS mAn" but the level design in this is actually top notch. The creator deserves the job
this level was made in 10 months which is the same time it took sega to make forces

Sonic Unleashed does this (at least Shamar has NPCs on the side of the road)
@@Mikey64 unleashed did it in shamar, windmill isle and spagonia
Words cannot express how impressive this is: A fully original ice Sonic level in Gens! Feels a bit like and Olympic stage honestly and I love it!
Olympic stage? You mean the Mario and Sonic ones?

Music was composed by Tim Follin for the Starsky & Hutch game
If you’re interested, the music is from a PS2 game called Starsky and Hutch. It's based on the TV show of the same name.
Thank you so much
@Benutzer strongly disagree
@Benutzer don't matter, it might not fit the atmospheric but it's still good

I wished they kept this route when designing more boost games. This takes the best things of Sonic Generations and improves it tenfold.
