love this movie. one of bronson's best and he made some good ones. why is it the best movies are the old ones? now days a movie has to have tons of swearing to get the attention of the young. i miss the old days.
A lot of these old time actors came up the real hard way during the Depression. Their authenticity didn't come from acting classes; they lived it. Watch Bronson in "Hard Times". He really looked like a guy who had to make a living the hard way. Read through the bios of the old actors and some of them had interesting lives before the got into acting; their early lives would've made interesting movies all by themselves. George Brent was a wanted man in Northern Ireland for IRA activities. Walter Brennan served 2 years in France in WWI, made a fortune in real estate and lost it all BEFORE becoming an actor. Victor McLaglen was a circus boxer who offered $25 to anyone who could go 3 rounds with him. He fought and lost to Jack Johnson. In WWI, he served in the British Army and was heavyweight champ of the army.
This movie was made just before Bronson made it big the U.S. Sean Connery and Bronson were the two most popular male movie stars in the world in 1971 despite the fact that most American movie fans had forgotten that Bronson ever existed or thought he was just doing small movies somewhere. In the 1960s and early 70's Bronson was a superstar in Asia and Europe and if it hadn't been for Death Wish which he made in his 50's he would more than likely be remembered for the handful of roles he played in some big U.S. movies and never become the huge star in America that he belatedly came. Charlie Bronson...the toughest of them all!

dude, I agree. He truly does have legends legacy he left. I thought I knew tough guy movie characters, until i saw everything Bronson is in. Changed me for sure. Its a shame that this generation will never know the epicness of Bronson.
In his 50's he was more chiseled than most guys in their 20's. In Florida the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is in charge of Concealed Carry Permits. Guess who was the Commisioner of that department a few years back? Yep, Charles Bronson. Not THE Charles Bronson but a namesake. You can be sure none of us ever threw away that permit once it expired.
What's happened that we have no more real believable tough guys? Capriardo, Pitt ect are ok as actors, but completely unconvincing as tough guys. The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) is just a nice guy, hard to take him serious like Bronson, Brynner, Lancaster, ect.
And you also missed Rod Taylor a legit tough s.o.b Dark of the sun , Darker than Amber to name a few of his movie's he got into a real fight with William Smith in Darker than Amber

Love the labor negotiating skills.
I always like it when someone speaks in a way that I can’t misinterpret what he’s saying.
If I saw a movie coming on and found out that Bronson was in it I knew right away it was going to be good.
He was such a convincing actor!
This cowboy sounds like a Big Government bureaucrat!
Sounds like a mid-level New York monster...
Charles Bronson legit tough guy indeed Sean Connery is ok but not a legit tough guy
Rod Taylor was a legit tough guy Aussie amateur champion in Australia great actor very underated
Got into a real fight with William Smith another legit tough guy in the movie
Darker than Amber the fight scene was real
And Rod Taylor also couldn't get along with NFL Jim Brown in the movie
Dark of the sun good movie
So it was said that at Playboy mansion party both guys got into a fight and Rod Taylor beat up Jim Brown
And William Smith knocked out Chuck Connors in some cowboy show in the 60s
And destroyed Arnold's Schwarzenegger arrogant ego in the movie Conan Arnold challenged him to a arm wrestling match and lost Lol
Death Wish was made in 74 saw it at the theater.
Gee, the kid never saw that move coming? What a surprise. "Hey. He grabbed my gun. Huh."
Charles is an employer who you know will have your back!
Bronson was so good at playin’ the TUFF GUY! More proof right here. 🥴
He was a legit tough guy WW2 combat plane tail gunner 25 mission's purple heart u have to some pair of balls to be a tail gunner
that's 'cos he wasn't really "playing" a tough guy... just showing what he really was inside
Charles Bronson...the original badass.
Should’ve known better than to mess with Charles Bronson
dude, I agree. He truly does have legends legacy he left. I thought I knew tough guy movie characters, until i saw everything Bronson is in. Changed me for sure. Its a shame that this generation will never know the epicness of Bronson.
If you're gonna mess with someone's melons ...be sure they don't belong to Ole Charlie Bronson....that's the Parable of this scene!
Great actor 👏
Picking melons properly takes decades of experience.....Bronson
knows this.
Sickof Idiots decades? Yeah, right.
@in2food : You don't know nothing about melons boy.
GuyRification You're right. I don't know nothing, I know something.
Perhaps, perhaps not. Only Bronson knows about melons though.
One of the hardest crops to grow and harvest correctly
In his 50's he was more chiseled than most guys in their 20's.
In Florida the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is in charge of Concealed Carry Permits. Guess who was the Commisioner of that department a few years back? Yep, Charles Bronson. Not THE Charles Bronson but a namesake. You can be sure none of us ever threw away that permit once it expired.
That guy doesn't know that messing with Branson is a death wish about to go down.
Bronson, he doesn't really need to say anything... does he!
well he did tell the guy to get off of his land
And Now......... HE'S STILL TRYIN TO GET HIS NADS OFF HIS TONSILS!**!
OUCH.
@@koolerm4806 it's a movie, not real
Nobody played a grease ball better than Paul Koslow
Paul Koslo , June 27, 1944 - January 9, 2019 ; 110 acting credits
Bronson was tuff for real not just the movies
We need more like Bronson.
Mr. Majestyk and Paul Kersey what great men!
Great movie, Bronson is one to miss
I've known of this movie for 30 years, but never watched it. That changes this week! Bronson has always been a total bad ass!
And you also missed Rod Taylor a legit tough s.o.b
Dark of the sun , Darker than Amber to name a few of his movie's he got into a real fight with William Smith in Darker than Amber
@Oliver Pong Did you know Mickey Rourke was a Pro-Boxer?
Saw this movie in mid 70s! And became a Bronson fan!
