    I get disgusted by smoker consoles, but this is on another level. Makes you wonder under what circumstances some people live that their console can effectively turn into a terrarium without them even noticing or potentially even caring.

    They do say that the problem with roaches are that they literally eat anything to survive. Looks like they've evolved and are now chewing on capacitors!

    Does anyone know what tool that is used at the 16 min mark? Is that detecting the values for the capacitors and resistors?

    • @ToltecMerc
      @ToltecMerc  Год назад +1

      They are called Smart Tweezers. They measure resistors, capacitors, inductors and diodes. It's intended for measuring small SMD components.

      @ToltecMerc that's pretty cool. Never seen one before. What brand is that one? I see on Amazon they range pretty cheap as low as 30$ to almost 350$ that tool definitely would make things alot easier.

I have same problèm on Ps5 and find the caps where the short is but before that I don’t know why as I think seeing ram being hot I think it could be the ram but that’s not so I find the caps replace and no more short anywhere but know I reassemble the ps5 before one bip and turn off now nothing when u click on the power button or even on eject button any clues ? Could be the ram because I try to reflow it I also remove one component but replace it like he is before and nothing
    Could you help me please

    • @ToltecMerc

      If you tried to reflow the RAM that could definitely be a problem. You will probably need to reball the RAM.

    Worst mess of insect infestation I’ve seen on any channel. How do you keep scoring these? Lol. When the 3.3 was down with a 0.3 ohm short and pulling 0.3 amps at 12 volts, I thought the next thing would be a thermal camera. Was that enough power draw for heating to be detected? Eagle eye didn’t need it though.

    • @ToltecMerc
      @ToltecMerc  Год назад +1

      I would have had to inject 1V or 2V at the output of the DC-DC converter to find with the thermal cam and I'm sure it would shown up nicely. That was going to be the next step but I just never got there. The cracked cap was rather obvious under the microscope.
