-Game Description
Borderlands is a 2009 action role-playing first-person shooter video game developed by Gearbox Software and published by 2K. The game's story focuses on a group of four "Vault Hunters", who travel to the distant planet of Pandora to search for the "Vault", which is rumored to contain advanced alien technology and other priceless riches. The hunters piece together clues to find the Vault while battling the savage wildlife of Pandora and the bandits and outlaws that populate the planet, ultimately banding together to prevent the Atlas Corporation and its privately funded paramilitary forces from reaching the Vault first.
This is the part of the description where I put a bunch of keywords to get recommended to more people.

I've now done the exact same thing (but longer) for Borderlands 2, check it out! - ruclips.net/video/_TCup2YXj8c/видео.html
I love the concept and design of the psycho. A convicted prisoner who may have been an ordinary man once, worked to the bone doing back breaking labor on a faraway hostile planet for a mega corporation that abandoned them and left him to die and instead, he just gives into his insanity and enjoys the chaos in the hell his life became.
Beautifully put.
Kind of surprised BL1 wasn't stuck in development hell. Usually having to rework the art style massively sets everything back.
Lucked out on that one 🙏 Ain't gon be that lucky with the movie tho 💀
games came out finished back then anyway, now games are unfinished just so they can get money
They created a simple cel shading filter that layered over the top of the graphics. Considering how bland the original's graphics looked, this absolutely saved the game from being forgotten about forever.
I'm assuming they sort of combined the original and new art style
@@cattysplatwas gonna say this, dr zeds appearance was used for Roland for example
Honestly Claptrap isn't that annoying on his own, it's the fact that he constantly hounds you with messages saying that various places have new missions available, which is something he doesn't even do in the later games.
True, but there's always new missions available at the New Haven bounty board!
Liked that you could tell how strong guns the badass enemies carried and take it from their hands after
Most of the guns u got from the mini bosses sucked
Best of the series, more dark, feels like a real wastelands, love BL1, my most played games from series, THOUSANDS of hours played and will continue to play
Same man bl1 forever
Ive been playing the series recently and agree bl1 is the best so far overall very little id want to add if i could
best borderlands title right here sorry all but 2,3 an the rest never captured me like the first one did
This is my favorite game of all time. I can play it forever and never get bored. Great video man 😁
Thanks for the kind words! Currently playing through Borderlands 2 again for the next video, having an absolute blast!
When I first saw the commercials for this game, I hated it unconditionally.
When I watched it being played, I got hooked.
Was the first game I got 100% completion on. Hours on multiplayer, good times.
Goated game tbh
@@Zanyverse Seriously. The gore absolutely sold it for me too. I was disappointed they didn't include it in the 2nd game. I miss shooting someone with an overpowered gun and watching them explode in a 300 foot geyser of blood and guts.
I get it, the character on the front cover looks cringe as well as the characters in game, the art style to i hated, but idk
What I like most about Bl1, is that you can open a toilet and get a great gun or a legendary - not locked to one specific enemy to drop (unless I’m misremembering horribly)
Toilets are usually ammo.
“Pitched as halo meets Diablo” I really like that
I almost spat out my yoghurt when you said the jaynistown mission line is so f'in boring you decided to speed through it. xD
Talk about hitting the nail on the head
I love bl1 forever
14:50 that boss fight is way better in the Remaster . Shorter , more dynamic and actually rewarding
Amazing video 👏 i adore the orginal borderlands in replaying it on switch rn
Yeah, the Borderlands games are ones I own on like every console I have 😅 They never get old!
Well made video dude 👌
Still one of the greatest games ever , wonderful experience on every level. An absolute classic.
About goddamn time
Ill recap all thats happened in an upcoming vid, when Ive got internet again
Found the channel from the dead rising summaries, decided to stick around. Pretty good stuff chief
Glad to see you're enioying the content, more to come!
It's impressive what Borderlands 1 got right so early on, but also shocking how much it got wrong, most of it's problems were fixed in the sequels. Fun gunplay, addictive loot chasing, character builds, co op teamwork, irreverent humour in a pre-Marvel era that played off internet culture (this was the first time in a AAA game), unique art style that stood out, popular on console and PC alike. Terrible netcode making multiplayer laggy, console focused UI, guns under 90 accuracy missing where you aimed them especially snipers, weak character skills, lack of good drops until late game, sharing loot drops between players, dodgy driving physics.
This game is amazing, bl2 was a bit rougher when it came to finding good weapons especially when you dont have time to sit and farm stuff. then theres bl3 lol way way too many legendaries :(
honestly my strongest reason for replaying bl1; that unhinged weapon variation really made it a ton more fun imo. never had a weap in 2/3 i've kept more than like 2-3 levels in comparison
@@Sr38890xx i got a purple atlas shotgun that was level 40 something and i was able to use it up until the late 60's lol
True.
Nice Video!
They should do a non-cannon remake of 1 that has the old 'Realistic' design from pre-release, with the old Rage like graphics, futuristic guns, bandit outfits (Some of the old stuff from the bandits appears in game) and environments
That’s *canon. Cannon is a gun.
Borderlands 1 just scratches a weird, unexplainable itch. I don’t know exactly what it is, but Halo CE also gives me the same feeling. It’s just something about the gameplay experience that other games in the franchise haven’t replicated.
Pisses me off how sorry of an excuse of a remaster the enhanced edition is too. If we got an actual proper remake in the bl3 engine with updated mechanics and some nice modernizations, it probably would’ve been my favorite borderlands title.
True, Id love a full remake of 1, 2 and pre-sequel in the updated engine, would be the true peak.
I only get on youtube when Zanyverse uploads
This is true, our upload schedules completely overlap as a result (dont fact check me)
Just beat this game today working on pre sequel with same teammate doing all the side quests. BL1 is a great game and all but the other games knock it outta the park for the maps and weapons. I was Mordecai because i thought the Bloodwing skill was sweet
Good video
Thanx chef
Certified flash drive magician I love how thus is just a fact in the community😂😂😂
The only good part of Mad Moxxi's Underdome for me was the bank. I tried two of the underdomes mobbing fights and gave up
Ah it's the verse
Only took 3 months 😵💫
@@Zanyverse your effort pay off.
Now do Borderlands 2 ❤
Working on it :]
Did he really say if you want to play with friends you need to buy multiple copies 4:54? Cuz every Borderlands games has offline/couch co-op for at least 2 player.
Ah yes, couch co-op, hope your friend live within 10 kilometers of you.
@@Zanyverse I mean you can also play online as well
Yeah, for which both players need a copy, whether digital or physical. There's literally an option on steam to buy 4 copies at once for you and three friends.
I feel that every year I like bl1 less and less
Its definitely dated, but the core gameplay loop is still solid imho
Same. I love bl2 and pre-sequel, but sometimes I really miss this "mad max atmosphere". Especially the soundtrack.
Honestly i just picked it up a few weeks ago and I'm absolutely obsessed tho that might be because i haven't played the newer ones yet . But i have to say it's aged amazingly in my opinion
@@ippokratismargiouklas2791 me too I never played any of the borderlands game but I bought the legacy collection and I'm hooked currently half way through the BL1
i will be fully honest here and say that i dread this game (dlc is fun enough ig)
(not me working on an obscenely long bl2 video)
@@Zanyverse hope it does well! Your vids are hella underrated
Thanks so much! :D
Anyone would like to play this?
Does any one actually know pearl drop rates
From what I've read there's about a 1/66 chance a Legendary drop will turn out to be a pearlescent.
Wait, do people really hate Claptrap?
I love to hate him. But he's a funny lil guy in the end.
why do you keep changing stereotypical youtuber voice styles?
Thank you for this nostalgic shower! That is what I needed...
How do you play with such a low FOV?
The original Borderlands didn't have an FOV slider, was only added in the Enhanced version.
The low fov in borderlands on Xbox literally makes me nauseous lmao
