Fantastic to see you visit a stadium very close to my heart and all time favorite city. 10.5 probably if you're a first time visitor best to come to the stadium where Drumcondra rail station is, go past the bank. The reason Dublin GAA play their main matches in Croke Park is because their home ground only holds 12,000 and Dublin take usually 15,000- 25,000 spectators. The Hill 16 can't be extended due to the housing estate otherwise easily could get 90,000. Great to see you try some hurling, some nice football shots too. Fun fact the upper and lower sections ticket prices are the same, only premium costs more. Whenever you're back in Ireland would be more than happy to take you to a game of hurling

0:24 you forgot GAA Rounders and Ladies Gaelic football. Also 4:50 hill 16 /the end bit, is now kept like that on purpose over bloody sunday and supposedly hill 16 is meant to be built on the rubble of O'Connell Street from 1916 Easter Rising. The skywalk is great, you can see the whole of Dublin from there, its a must do, and if they're doing the Croke Park Abseils, then you must do that too. As that does both skywalk and abseil...

Just a quick note on the thumbnail Ninh. You put the dublin gaa badge alongside the GAA logo, implying this is Dublins home ground. That's not true. Whilst yes, the senior men's football team play a lot of their games at croker, the actual official home ground for Dublin GAA is Parnell Park in I believe clontarf. Just pointing that out to you Ninh.
Also, the GAA doesn't cover Camogie. That's under a separate governing body. Ditto for Ladies Gaelic Football. They are working on bringing in camogie to the GAA.
Lastly, and I know I'm nitpicking, but the teams aren't referred to as 'clubs'. The clubs are the teams within the county that are managed by the county GAA board. Them clubs make the counties, and these counties are the big teams that play in the big matches. Think of it as international Soccer.
Other than that, good video as always Ninh. Really enjoyed it. Going straight back up to Div 1 this year. UP THE DUBS 💙🏐

The money they generate goes back into the stadium and other stadiums and facilities around the country. Not to say there is no waste or corruption, but if the players were paid you wouldn't have a stadium like that in a small country of 5 to 7million people,it would probably be no more than 40 000.Football/soccer stadiums in ireland are way behind because they have to struggle to find a weakly wage,of course competition with the PL is a huge factor, but even without that factor maintaining Pro sports in ireland is a huge struggle and the same with rugby 4 pro teams half to play in a competition spanning half the world to be viable.

As a Dublin fan, I wouldn't wear a Mayo jersey for any reason!

I have a dislike of lopsided stadiums, Newcastle United's St James's Park being a case in point. Croke Park too with that small stand on one side. Imagine how huge it'd be if all 4 sides were same size

It would be immense if all four sides were the same.
Sadly, it'll never happen, because doing that would shroud hundreds of residents in complete darkness all year round - as the stadium would completely block out the sun.

Yes but i do if they could it any better considering the rail track and really 82300 is plenty for ireland ,they fill a 100 000 seater for the finals but other games wouldn't near fill it

The lobsided terrace makes it seem bad but the Hill 16 is probably the best experience in the whole stadium

@@UltimateBucketList Plus the disruption of the rail line, every time i take the train from sligo in the west of ireland i pass that end of the stadium its a fairly important thoroughfare ,if they built a similar stand to the one at the other end that part of the rail line would be closed for about a year atleast. The other end is what used to be known as the canal end,but since canals are not a vital transport hub it didn't matter. What would it look like if it was symetrical ,to me you have to look no further than twickenham.

@@gallowglass2630 Or they could plan some thing similar to the old Lansdowne Road where the train runs through the stadium. Would be a unique development.
