My takeaways from this video: 1. Boobmonster 2000 is not a real kickstarter (yes, I checked... and I bet I'm not the only one) 2. Holy *&%^, a $1 bill. Where did that come from? 3. Something about a pretty good small game 4. Paul is dead
I have become so used to SUSD videos taking place in locations I don't really know. I grew up not far from the beaches that Paul filmed in for this one, though, so it is a little jarring to be so familiar.
They need to pour the Campari away though - it's the most disgusting thing I've ever had the displeasure of tasting, and I have no idea how anyone can enjoy it!!!
in such a Tim Fowers fan boy because of games like this. I've enjoyed all of his games for the art and how tight the design is. Thanks for a great (and hilarious) review.
What impressed me the most is the one paper canadian dollar. Those have dissapeared something like 30 years ago... they have become super-rare to find.
fugitive sounds good but how do I get in on BOOB MONSTER 2020 i cant find the kickstarter plz help BOOB MONSTER 2018 has neither enough boob nor enough monster
I bought the game from the original kickstarter, and agree - it's a fantastic little game. I've never played with the events, and now I probably never will! You didn't mention the artwork, which is fantastic and the 42 cards make a beautiful storyboard of the chase. (Also, having just succumbed to a 2nd-hand copy of Fury of Dracula, I realise how similar the central mechanic is)
A Canadian one dollar bill! Have you been dead for 2 decades? Is "Paul went to Vancouver" a euphemism and how have you gotten the others to maintain your morbid ruse for so long?
An old Canadian one dollar bill is in full display near the end of the video. Those are pretty rare Paul. Are you trying win over the Canadian Citizenship Cronies (the CCC or Triple C)?
Tor Iver Wilhelmsen Blunder free work from Paul. He says that the fugitive is ahead of the Marshall. "A fugitive, somebody not so much always on the run as, on the stumble, forever just one or two steps ahead, of the other player the Marshall"
Why is it that we can't even get good memorial videos on Paul's last video? Instead, the back office pimps videos from the other contributors. Who's in charge here?!? I need to speak to a manager...
Usually I can never tell where Paul is in his videos. Pretty sure this is SF, though. Just how much did he travel while doing SU&SD reviews? Also, you'll be missed!
4 years later to Well Actually you lol..... It's Vancouver, I think that red bridge is called the Lionsgate Bridge, which is also the name of a big film studio in the city 😊
Reading these comments before watching the video has led to many questions: How did Paul die? WTF is Boob Monster 2000? Sounds like a hentai... Second thought: I don't want to know. Does Canada not use a $1 bill (Ignorant American question, I know)?
So both you and Efka from No Puns Included are owning a 1$ Canadian paper bill(which stopped being printed almost 30 years ago). And then you don't want us to believe there is a conspiracy involving Boardgames Reviewers?
Ahhhh. Wind noise in a SU&SD video. It's like the good old days!

5. Miss him. Miss him.
RIP Paul, will place a memorial copy of Barenpark along the Golden Gate in your honor.

One of my favorite designers, I really love Burgle Bros. The art styles are very similar between the two. Will definitely be picking this up.
This is the kind of game that could be really good as a Let's Play with a camera looking at one or both players' hands.
"I didn't kill my wife!"
"... I don't care!"
That is an impressive amount of liquor.
They need to pour the Campari away though - it's the most disgusting thing I've ever had the displeasure of tasting, and I have no idea how anyone can enjoy it!!!
The trick to Campari is mixing the gin and sweet vermouth in. There are other ways to enjoy it, but before a large meal, a Negroni is mighty fine.

Rip Ursula Le Guin, good choice!
Rest in peace Paul. May the winds that ended you also carry forth your memory to the ends of the earth.
the nerd shack Watch the end of the video. Yes. ;_:
Please let the floating-in-place bird from 7:55 in this film and the dog from 3:22 in Quinns' Hive Pocket film do a review together.
RIP Crispy Basket
I'm always on the lookout for simple games like Love Letter. I look forward to getting this one. Thanks for the recommendation!
Paul, don't run with knives.
Know how you feel, Paul. I’m full of wind at the moment, which has also been life threatening for those around me.
What impressed me the most is the one paper canadian dollar. Those have dissapeared something like 30 years ago... they have become super-rare to find.
Finally bought this yesterday! The new edition is rather lovely...
You sold me on this game sooooo quickly.
Fugitive is indeed fab.
I like a man who keeps a well-stocked drinks cabinet.
This was a really nice video to watch. I loved seeing some of your local scenery.😊
"He is not behaving" I died
Did Jack come back?

It warms my heart to see Infinite Jest in Paul's book case
9:24 I want all that liquor.
A Canadian one dollar bill! Have you been dead for 2 decades? Is "Paul went to Vancouver" a euphemism and how have you gotten the others to maintain your morbid ruse for so long?
The sad thing is it's 3 decades, not 2. Man I'm old
But whatever happened to Jack?!
dun dun DUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!
Shoutout to Paul's real liquor collection.
Overcast, windy, 1930s-style suburban tract homes, that's definitely San Francisco. Either the Richmond or Sunset by the looks of it
6:40 made me laugh harder than it probably should have
At 9:21 bro's got an old Canadian $1 bill!
8:50 nice homebar paul!
Easily one of my favourite games. And you’re totally right about the events.
The opening music sounded like Wrench and Numbers’ theme from Fargo S1, I dug it
What are Paul's favorite cocktails? That's a nice collection of bottles
4:08 you'll never catch up to the fugitive if you run like that.... :/
Fugitive! In summary - I’m excited!
An old Canadian one dollar bill is in full display near the end of the video. Those are pretty rare Paul. Are you trying win over the Canadian Citizenship Cronies (the CCC or Triple C)?
welp, just ordered this, paperback, and burgle bros. So much for not spending too much money -_-'
😲 How on Earth did you come across a Canadian $1 bill?! Those haven't been in circulation for almost 30 years.
Love the "subtle" Panamax reference. Wish I'd known you were in my area! SUSD Bay Area meetup please!? GDC maybe?
We'll all be at GDC running the boardgame lounge. Make sure to stop by!
You need a GDC pass to get into that right?
This review blew me away ;)
I would expect that the Marshal would be a step or two _behind_ the Fugitive, not _ahead_ ... script editor blunder around 0:56.
Tor Iver Wilhelmsen
Blunder free work from Paul. He says that the fugitive is ahead of the Marshall.
"A fugitive, somebody not so much always on the run as, on the stumble, forever just one or two steps ahead, of the other player the Marshall"
Ah, I heard "are the marshal" (which would be bad grammar anyway) not "of the marshal" - I blame wind.
I heard this game first mentioned on ActualLol, does look like cracking 2 player goodness 😀
Why is it that we can't even get good memorial videos on Paul's last video? Instead, the back office pimps videos from the other contributors. Who's in charge here?!? I need to speak to a manager...
Rest in peace too David Foster Wallace
My god I love Vancouver

@@richy1988 thank you!
Hilarious, and an excellent presentation! ^_^

rip paul

We also take payment in maple syrup
I've never eaten maple syrup..
Such a good game.
Forget Paul, RIP Ursula K Le Guin.
this is the cringiest how to play i've ever seen
