I would welcome Jim Cornette with open arms, even if he did manage a few heel wrestlers in my hometown's independent promotions. Ban Jim Cornette from entering Canada? Dumb! He did have a passport. So why wasn't he welcomed across the Canadian/American border? Canadian Customs! Lift the ban and let Jimmy enter the country for business or a vacation!

Very little is taught in the USA about both countries' histories. It's sad many of their own people don't understand such important facts that you'd brought up. I love when Americans who get denied at the Canadian border go off on Canada like this. True to form they are totally ignorant to the fact that border policies are pretty much bi-lateral with both countries. The same shit that gets Americans denied at a Canadian border can get Canadians denied at US borders. I could tell you MANY tales about US border gestapo. I have a middle aged friend who was denied entry to the US because he has a record for stealing a bag of potato chips when he was 18. He was told he would need to get a criminal waiver before he could enter again -- the exact same form Cornette was told he'd need to get into Canada. For both countries these are nothing more than cash grabs because they cost hundreds of dollars. IMO borders suck and I hate ALL border agents. They are power-tripping nazis who were bullied in school and now get off on ruining people's trips.

We do? It's just as hard for us to get into the States you dolt. People get denied for just admitting they've smoked weed, even though it's legal nationwide here!

Sorry, Mr. Cornette, we have many stupid bureaucrats here in Canada. People like me would love to have you here. Well, I live in Calgary, so you would need to be persuaded since it isn't Toronto or Vancouver ...

Corny I love you man, but saying Canada dosen't get involved with wars, and no one attacks them because the U.S. is their neighbor is both embarassingly stupid on your part, and highly insulting to the many brave Canadians who fought and died on the front lines of World Wars I and II from the very start to the very end, as well as every U.N. mandated action undertaken ever since, right up to this very day.
The only fights Canada was not side by side with our brothers down south were the 'police action' of Vietnam (and even then we operated under the U.N. banner) and the second Iraq (OMG WMDs!) invasion.
I certainly don't expect a retraction or anything public on your podcast, but I hope you read this and take it to heart for the future.

Jimmy needs to take his history classes over again!
Canada was in both world wars and Korea before the US.
Canada was also invaded ONCE... It was the US and we kicked their asses!

Haven`t been in the States since 1997 when i went on a family trip to the NFL Football Hall Of Fame in Canton ,Ohio cause my brother wannted to see it . Big difference in the Canada and US Borders . America was asking question after question abot where we were going , how long would we be there , when we were coming back . The usual . Canada was like ``Anything to declare.`` Part of me was tempted to say . ``Yeah , Glad to be back on Canadian soil. `` Don`t get me wrong .The states does have its advantages like our money is worth 50 precent more down there and can shop for thing i can`t get up here .(Thank god for ebay .) Canada is a nice place to live though . Not all the violence and drama like the US does nor the racism either . Cornette getting banned is kinda funny though . Say they ought to let him in based on the fact that his wrestling days are over and what possible threat could he be unless Santino Marella or Vince Russo move up here ,Wait a minute , Santino already does and has a martial arts academy in Toronto . Plus don`t think Jim would dig the winters up here . Gets pretty chilly up here . Aside from the whole thing with the Covid 19 pandemic going on not much else going on . Canada is good for what it is and that`s that .
