I can’t get enough of her. Just saw her in ‘Employee’s Entrance’. Thank you VERY MUCH for this! And the Miss Crabtree vid AND also FRANCES DEE!! You’ve great taste!
I’m glad you liked the video and discovered Alice White. If you like to see her in a film, I’d suggest “Employees’ Entrance” (1933). She’s not the lead, but has a lot of screen time and is quite adorable and funny.
Unfortunately for White her film career was tarnished by a scandal that erupted over her involvement with boyfriend actor Jack Warburton and future husband Sy Bartlett. She and screenwriter Sidney Bartlett were accused of arranging the beating of British actor John Warburton. Alice and Warburton had a love affair that ended when he beat her so badly she required cosmetic surgery. A grand jury in Los Angeles decided not to charge Bartlett or White. Although she later married Bartlett, her reputation was irrevocably stained and she appeared only in supporting roles after this. By 1937 and 1938, her name was at the bottom of the cast lists. What a waste!
If u seen the movie she was being naughty in u know what she deserves but I ain't saying nothing because someone gonna start calling u names but what a nice tribute
An absolute stunning beauty, by yesterday's standards, today's standards, or 50 years from now. Beauty like hers is timeless.
At the risk of sounding like a broken record, she was absolutely adorable! :)
Never saw any of these movies but she was absolutely great. Good body, huge eyes, and she could even do that fast talking dialogue back then.
Fantastic video tribute! Happy Heavenly Birthday Adorable Alice!❤️🌹🌹💕🎂
Very glad you liked it, thanks.

I'm glad you liked the tribute videos. They are the hardest to do, but also the most fun.
Never heard of her before finding this,.. She is amazing! Thanks for bringing her back with great editing.

@@michiganjfrog Thanks!
What a great tribute happy heavenly b-day Alice so pretty
Boy she was a blast. A real life bawdy blonde Bettie Boop.
3:51 "Didn't your parents ever explain things to you?" LOL
My heart melts seeing such exquisite beauty. Why can't women look this way anymore?
It has always amazed me how a particular girl can stand out among millions of other equally pretty girls.
Same with men. Look at Jim Cagney-gorgeous!!
Brilliant! Now I think of her more as a predecessor to Marilyn!
Alice was the best. She should have had a much better career.
Just delightful! Today's female has thrown all that away. Thanks.
all that what? it was 100 years ago. things evolve (thankfully)
So does such "resolution" always result in improvement?
"What would you do for 500 bucks?"
"I'd do my best" 😅😅😅
She had some great lines, and a few other things, too. One you wouldn't mind taking home.
Great compilation... Gorgeous in all ways
Thank you. It was a lot of fun to put together.
Nice tribute to a mostly forgotten star, except for us film buffs! 💙
When women were lovely without head to foot tattoos.
Women are never lovely with head to toe tattoos
Cute. Very cute.
"Giving It This & That ' Damn that Alice White was CUTE!!?
Great Fun... Thank You.
I can't believe I've never heard of her! A bit of Marilyn Monroe in her!
You can't compare Monroe to these ladies
Marilyn wishes!
Pre-Goldie Hawn
But better. In EVERY WAY

Compared with Clara Bow, I guess Alice White is underrated. By today`s standard, she is really charming.
Cute, funny and gorgeous gams. Triple threat lol
Alice White 1904-1983
I'm on the level - Yeah the lower level :) What a pretty girl
They had some great hats back then
Man, look how young Cagney was!
2:53 If anyone is wondering what year Friday May 23rd was, it was 1930.
Lu Lu is still my favorite.♥️
The man of 1000 facets. Alice White - again. Polar express. An absence of malice though. Admit that.
I'm a brunette freak til my last breath...but Alice could get it :-)
If it helps any, White’s natural hair color was reddish brown.
Could you do a tribute to Clara Bow?
Is there a list of the films used in this great compilation?
what movies did Alice make with Jimmy Cagney?
Picture Snatcher (1933) & Jimmy the Gent (1934)

From which movie did the "I'd do my best" line come from?
That's from the film "Jimmy the Gent" (1934).
@@michiganjfrog thank you. It is one of my favorite lines
🍀💛💛💛🍄
Who's the actress in the opening image? Is there a movie associated with the image? Thank you.
The photo if of Joan Blondell from a photo shoot she did with Elmer Fryer in 1933. It is not associated with any particular film.
