Why is this channel called “Facts Verse” when you have some of your “facts” wrong.
• It’s All In a Name:
According to your “Facts”, the writers used a “sneaky ploy” to let viewers know that Carol was divorced, not widowed.
Your “facts” say because Carol’s maiden name was Tyler. But right before she & Mike got married, her last name was Martin. How does this at all insinuate that Carol was divorced? Most women DO NOT go back to their maiden name when they become widows. That usually happens if they DO GET divorced…YOU IDIOTS!!!
And you expect me to give a 👍🏻 & subscribe?? Another fact you got wrong

36 sec in and I came to the comments. So that’s all I watched. 😂👋
The best part of this was in the very start of the film when a snapshot of Eve's legs appeared. After that everything was a repeat of the same info that was in all clips of the Bunch.
My Dad died in 1969 in a private plane crash with his 3 best friends. I had a wonderful Mom but she was emotionally unavailable for me and my older sister and brother. This shows taught me that Mike and Carol were the kind of parents I would want to be. I would talk openly to my kids and always let them know how much I loved them because it was what I wanted all those years. Eventually, my Mom became my best friend. I miss her very much now. Some may think it's corny but it gave me a vision of how to be a better parent. ❤
Pam, my mom, who when sober was wonderful, but when she wasn't, I would spend hours watching TV. The Brady Bunch was my ideal family. Today, I'm blessed with a huge loving family, that I thank God for. So glad I wasn't "raised" by the shows that kids may be watching nowadays. I too, believe it helped me to know how to be a better parent.
@@mimiluvfromsf I'm happy that you have a loving family now. I agree with you about shows nowadays. Not setting the best examples anymore. My daughter and son-in-law borrowed my Brady Bunch DVD set of the series and at the end of it my son-in-law said, "I want to be a dad like Mike Brady!" I almost cried. He is a new father and they are wonderful, patient and loving parents. Makes me proud. Maybe, just maybe, Mike and Carol helped to set the example of what can be.
Thanks for sharing
Sorry for your loss. I'd too loss some relatives of mine. Keep your head up and keep your loved ones in your heart MS. Pamela. Lord, rest their souls.
I'm so sorry for your loss 😔
I didn’t grow up in a loving family at all, the Brady Bunch showed us how family life was suppose to be for us all. Carol & Mike was such loving parents
Thanks for watching!
I wished,I had a groovy gay father too!
I always wished that I was a member of the Brady bunch. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
I know what you mean. I grew up an only child in a home where my parents slept in different bedrooms and my father had severe OCD. I wanted to grow up in a home like the Brady Bunch and ended up in a home like Monk.
The Brady house sliding “glass” door didn’t actually have glass. The Brady’s had a maid... I didn’t know anybody in my middle class neighborhood who had a maid. My mother couldn’t deal with having 6 kids in the house all day on Saturday, so she sent the oldest 3, (including me), out of the house every Saturday. Usually we rode a bus to the mall, ate a pizza, then rode the bus home. My older sister was 11 at the time. (They always served us: they never asked us where our mother was). There was very little about the Brady Bunch that was real.
Our house was a block away from the Brady bunch house that was used at the beginning of the show in North Hollywood.
Fun to watch. I went to a “Brady Kids” concert in Portland OR during 4th grade and had the time of my life. We were eating at a restaurant buffet before the concert & they all came in, producers and all. My mother wouldn’t let me approach them until after they ate & told me that the reason “Greg Brady has a beer!!!,” was because he was older than the character he portrayed.😂 I watched Maureen put on mascara in the ladies’ room, me sitting on the counter & swinging my legs back & forth, got at least a smile from Eve, then played “spin the quarter” with Susan. They were such great kids & young adults. Later, they’d arranged front row seats for us by adding separate chairs as a new front row. Where other are now, I hope they’re happy and strong. And, that they are in such a precious memory of mine at such an impressionable age. Love them all!😂🙏🏼❣️
That's amazing!
Awesome! What a wonderful memory for you - so EXCITING! I'll bet that's ONE childhood memory you'll NEVER forget! 🥰
DUDE!!! I thought I had the best Brady story! On my 11th birthday, Aug 21st 1973, I was at Kings Island Amusement Park during dry runs before filming and got to ride The Racer with Bobby!
And my first concert was David Cassidy.
That's pretty awesome!!!
Here's a blooper...they just flashed a picture of Shelly Long while speaking of and about Florence Henderson as the character of Carol Brady.
I didn't see any picture of Shelly Long. They can look alike at times, but it was Florence I saw.

I watched the Brady bunch since the show started in 1969, I was 4. I clearly remember all my friends would stop playing outdoors and run home to watch that show Friday night 8pm Chanel 2 and the partridge family was right after it at 8:30. The Brady bunch were enviable, they looked like a fun happy family and all around it was during a better time than today.
We're happy to know that you love the show. In your opinion, what is its best episode?
@@FactsVerse that’s a hard one, so many were good. Here are some good ones off the top of my heads, pork chops and applesauce, george glass, tell it like it is Mrs. Brady, tell it like it is, haunted house, Baton Rouge Baton Rouge, mom always said don’t play ball in the house, family portrait with glasses. So here are 7 I don’t know the names of the episodes but anyone who watched the Brady bunch will know exactly what I’m saying. And to be honest, the show left such a good impression on me and I felt close to the Brady kids probably because I grew up with them in real time. Thanks for the memories!!

Robbie Rist (cousin Oliver) had a run during the 70’s. He was a cute kid but he happened to look like a miniature John Denver. I think JD even worked that into a tv appearance once.

My family was 3 boys and 3 girls in a 3 bedroom house. We had the Brady Bunch bedspreads before they did. We only rented a TV a few times per year, though, so I rarely saw this show as a kid. We read books instead, and I’m glad we did.

Alice is hands-down my favorite. She's charming, quick witted and great with the kid's in addition to being an outstanding housekeeper.
Alice never had to clean a toilet. How marvelous!
It seems to me that Alice carried most of the show’s humor AND had to pull ALL the housework weight.

I always thought Jan was every bit as beautiful as Marcia. Even more so in the later episodes where they were older.
Only the last season when Jan needed a bra......
Yep. Same.
@@dquinn8344 - Maureen said in her book that Sherwood was vigilant about making sure the girls wore bras because like with so many things about the show it was supposed to be innocent, so she and Eve had to be sneaky about when they weren't wearing one, which they apparently took as a challenge. When they brought in cousin Oliver, the show basically "Jumped the Shark".
Right? They jumped the shark before it was even called jumping the shark!
And we never met Oliver's PARENTS... it was LITERALLY a nuclear family, as in post-holocaust.
Seems many shows add another family member in order to help jumpstart the ratings in the final seasons(Bewitched, Family Ties, Diff’rent Strokes, Growing Pains, All in the Family).I never saw the logic behind that. I don’t see how a new family member will attract more viewers.
You are right cousin Oliver screwed the show!!!!!
Marcia
One of the reasons it was so watched was everyone I knew had 2 good stations and 1 blurry station. And it was on three times a day. We were hooked to TV as much as kids are hooked to their phones today. So we just sat through it. But it's influences were still obvious. Half the boys of my age at the time wanted to be architects.
lol
I watched this show as I was growing up and truly appreaciated the themes the writers had to work with. For example each kid had a "Swelled Head" episode or a secret crisis episode. Then there were the "Battle of The Sex's" episodes. Sherwood Shwartz just set the ball rolling with his initial ideas and gave us lots of laughs and food for thought at times.
My favourite episode was when Davie Jones sang at the school and Marcia was so happy and the teachers were ecstatic!
Sam the butcher was a good Marine Sargent and cook.
mine was when Greg got stoned after filming and then was called back to the set to redo some scenes and you could tell he was high as a kite,,lol

This doesn't tell us anything we don't already know. I think you just like to hear yourself talk.
Our family was pretty similar to the Brady Bunch. Three boys and three girls living in a large house in a middle class neighborhood in California. We had the station wagon, the ugly kitchen and even the wood paneling. Our house had four bedrooms and two bathrooms. As the oldest boy I had my own room. All three of my sisters slept in a huge room downstairs and everything in there was pink. We didn't have an Alice. We lived in that house from 1967 to 1976. My parents bought it for $25,000 and it was sold in 2020 for $1,325,000.
To bad they didn't keep it until 2020 lol.
Honestly, Ann B. Davis (Alice) was the heart and soul of the show, and they missed the mark a bit by not styling the character more like Shirley Booth's portrayal of "Hazel" who constantly broke the fourth wall to let the audience share in poking fun at the rising middle class parvenus who think they are 'hip' but are really just ordinary, all too ordinary people.
Who?
If they did that, I’d be too much like Hazel.
Just a note, the picture you show to get us here is click bait and doesn't exist in the body of the program material.

4:37 that's Shelly Long, not Florence Henderson. Also, TV Guide named Homer Simpson as one of TVs greatest dad's on that same list so yeah. They named every TV dad ever.
I do remember cousin Oliver- was never enchanted with his introduction, as he was a distraction from enjoying the original cast members. Thinking about it now, Alice was definitely the funniest and most enjoyable character. That being said, I did love them all, and the show in general.
Oliver was terrible
My heart died when they started doing a singing group. We already had that on tv it was called the Partridge Family. Cousin Oliver was just the last nail in the coffin.
I loved the singing stuff..
Yeah but the Partridge family did not have the amazing Hot Mess of Maureen McCormick. (I say that with love) She may not have been really good at singing, but i would have totally partied with her. Then with Greg banging the Stepmom. Why would anyone care about a family with and ugly orange boy, the former star of Oklahoma and the guy i kept getting confused as Leif Garrett (which amusingly I did coke with like 20 years ago) .
I dont even remember that oliver kid, but i think i only saw about 10 to 15 episodes and the 1st film
Exactly.
They should have had another baby.
This whole thing didn't tell anything about the picture we were supposed to look closely at did it?
That's JUST what I was thinking and immediately saw your comment.
I saw nothing either
What are we looking at closely ?
I think it's in reference to the absence of a toilet in the bathroom photos, omitted purposely to keep the wholesome image up.
I didn’t see anything either-unless it was in that pic shown at the beginning. Is the “blooper” that the aspect ratio of the photo is blatantly, cartoonishly distorted? lol
YES, I watched the Brady Bunch. They're all my favorite
We're glad to know that you love the show. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. If we may ask, which episode did you like the best?
Brady Bunch and Gilligan's Island every day after school. I still like watching the reruns at 57.
1:40 The fact that Carol‘s maiden name was Tyler but her married name was Martin doesn’t tell us anything about whether she was divorced or widowed before marrying Mike Brady.
4:39 That’s not Florence Henderson. That’s Shelly Long from the 1995 movie.
9:01 That’s also still from the 1995 movie.
Thanks for watching, Tysto!
Very good observation. I came here to the comments to say practically the same things.

My mom's maiden name Brady 3 brothers one sister
I was saying the same as I watched this -- I don't think that's Eve Plumb, that's from a later rendition (I mean, look at how old Susan Olsen is!) so may be Geri Reischl.
Far as I recall, the pilot said or at least implied that Carol was widowed. This was reafffirmed many years later in one of the movies, where the plot is that a man claiming to be Carol's first husband shows up.
But the real thing I wanted to post was: It's not a blooper if it's intentional.
We clicked here to see what blooper was in a photo. The narration explains there was no toilet in the set's jack-and-jill bathroom for Reasons, so the fact that we don't see one is by no means a mistake.
Bringing in the “Cousin Oliver” character was a huge mistake. Destroyed the show.
It was already circling the drain, but yes, "Cousin Oliver" made it WORSE!
It was destroyed from the start. Who cared about Cindy's lost doll and Marsha's big ugly nose when you needed to pay the rent and put food on the table.
@@GK-ku3zv The show was intended to show that a blended step family could get along, be happy and to make you forget about having to pay the rent and put food on the table....at least for a half hour a week.
Cousin Oliver was a misfit, he came out of nowhere and was never mentioned at all before his initial appearance.
@@dannyboyy8465 The show was way too simple minded for adult entertainment.
The show was a massive hit, of course, primarily because of Sam the butcher.

My 3 favorites are:
When they go to Kings Island.
Fright night.
When Marcia, Jan and Peter work at the ice cream parlor.
Nick at Nite would play reruns of this in the early 90s and 00s. Probably one of the few non animated shows I would watch during my childhood
My favorite episode and Character was Jan, and when her crazy aunt / Carols cousin came to visit and they all sat on the floor for dinner
Check out the episode when Bobby's trying to win a trophy. They're driving to the Cartoon King tv studio and Mike, Carol and Bobby are seen driving away in a convertible; When they come back, they're in a station wagon.
That episode would have been better if Bobby had won.
What about the 1st episode when tiger rolled window down and it had a crank handle
🤣 wtf? 🤣
you didn't mention that Mr Brady was always trying to get into Greg's pants.
that info was even included in the tv special
Anyone else notice the picture of Shelly Long right when he starts talking about Florence Henderson's upbringing?
My favorite character was Peter. He was a realistic kid, getting into all kinds of trouble. Playing basketball in the house and breaking Carol’s lamp and lying about it, taping various members of his family...sneaky little bastard.
I believe that Peter broke a vase.
@@toddinthemiddle you are correct. Although the boys tried to glue it together, when Carol filled it with flowers and water, water started pouring through the cracks. Your memory is better than mine!
@@shimmeringfairydust3275 i distinctly remember all of the kids sitting at the dining table and watching the vase leak water... what's funny is that that peter not only threw the basketball that broke the vase, but also threw the football that hit marcia in the nose.
at least he wasn't the one that rode the bicycle into the garage and crashed into the portrait that was an anniversary gift for mike and carol!
@@toddinthemiddle lol, that was Jan, wasn’t it? She didn’t wear her glasses! And kudos to Peter to throwing that football. Nothing against pretty Marcia, but “My nose!” And “Something suddenly came up!” resulted from his bad aim.
I think Peter taped Marcia in the shower, but that episode may have been deleted from the series.
The Brady Bunch is an American family icon. Everyone I can think of would want to grow up in a house like the Brady Bunch. With a family like that too.
Yeah, me too. I would have been sneaking into Marsha's room, stripped her naked, and taking advantage of her body.
The Brady bunch is a great show I remember in 1972, when I was 6,im55now still love the show.
As a kid, we never, ever questioned what Carol and Mike's relationships were before they became a Bunch. And whether widowed or divorced, it made no difference whatsoever.
Yes, I was a fan. I liked the way they all mattered to each other even the house keeper was family.
But yet she wore a uniform and never ate with the Bradys
@@jessi1971 yes, I loved how proud Alice was to be part of the harmonious chaos. There was a job to be done and Alice did it the best! But I guarantee if she broke down or had any troubles the whole family would have come to her rescue. 😊
Every episode was written to teach a moral lesson.
Sam was always "delivering meat" to Alice.
leo alex cos he was so inlove with her lol
Hot sausage
More then likely it was sausage
😳😜🤣🤣
leo alex 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Cousin Oliver looked like a young John Denver.
The only "blooper" I saw (not even a blooper) but in two, maybe three pics, a different Jan was seen. Was not Eve Plumb.
4:39 - That is NOT Florence Henderson. That’s Shelly Long in the 1995 parody Brady Bunch Movie produced and released decades after the TV show.
And at 9:01 - that's not a photo of the Brady family either
Yup that's Shelly Long
Yeah, I caught too.
That’s also not the real jan
Try finding a show as clean as this nowadays!
Marcia Brady - every boy wanted to date her, every girl wanted to be her. Too bad she got so far into drugs that she was trading sex for a fix (according to her autobiography).
Yeah it helps to have a maid.
I always been a fan, in what my grandma would say of me grow up. She says how excited i be when get home after school scream at top my lung “BRADY BUNCH BRADY BUNCH! Put on Brady bunch mama!” Or little house on the prairie. I was born in 1998 tho so I always grew up to have such an old soul.
My favorite episode was when Bobby and Peter thought they were seeing a UFO.
My favorite character was ALICE!! She was a great housekeeper, babysitter, counselor, chef and friend. Loved her and Sam. Always funny. I was a little kid and on Friday night that’s all that was on that I could watch. It was fun
I love the Brady Bunch which is why I clicked on the video. I even live in the same area as Barry Williams and as a server, I have had the pleasure of waiting on him from time to time.
Robert Reed was also in "Death Flight" and showed his truer nature, which is kick ass!
Loved the Brady Bunch. I actually bought the complete series and movies. My favorite was probably Peter. I had such a crush!
"Clowns Never Laughed Before And Bean Stalks Never Grew" LOL Greg Brady the famous song writer!!😁😀😁
😂😂😂😂
Weird Al’s long-lost cousin 😂
🤣😆😂
