@@kieferclarkf1674you absolutely rock and are awesome. I've been playing that song since I read your comment yesterday I know RJD has arguably the best voice in metal but was never into Dio. I need to reconsider that seeing how great this song is Original version doesn't have that synth opening have to look for the Iron Eagle soundtrack version
Dis is a very good movie for a fourteen young boy in the eighties. Music, action. -And tomorrow i'd dream away to E.T... Awww. old times. My mom loved westerns, she inadvertedly tried to strangle my dad in sleep. My dad is old military, but yeah, he didn't expect that one. Ooooh, I love seeing these classics.
Really good fun film. I think I counted about 5 times that Colonel Nakesh died :). Seriously though, props to Doug and Chappy. Two guys kicking the butts of the rogue state of Bilya (Libya, anyone? LOL) like the rest of the Air Force wanted to.
It was just a plot device to ensure that doug was still in control during the final dogfight sequence, otherwise it would have made more sense for the actual air force major to be in control of the aircraft once he is onboard, so they have to have him get wounded and presumably be too injured to take over the flying.
Yeah, this was always a head-scratcher for me; he listens to chappy tell him about the hades bomb just before he lands for the first time and doesn’t drop it.
Little remembered fact: that was NOT a refinery, but a sewage treatment plant. Guess the low rent Colonel Qaddafi played by David Suchet, better known for playing Hercule Poirot, will be crossing his legs and dancing a little bit until they get that straightened out...
Some of it is live action, courtesy of the IDF. Wonder why these supposed "USAF" falcons are wearing the IDF desert camo color scheme, the "Mig 23s" look suspiciously like IAI kafirs, and the attack choppers look like Isreli Cobras? It's because THEY ARE. The Israelis cooperated with the producers for this film (because the USAF wouldn't considering the "kids stealing planes and going rouge with USAF hardware" angle Not all of the footage is models and RC.

An hour and a half infomercial for the F-16 starring Hercule Poirot. What's not to like?
Great movie, i liked this better than top gun which came out same year in 1986
Man I love that score at 2:07. Never have been able to find it despite them releasing the Basil Poledouris album
It's Dio. Hide in the rainbow.
@@kieferclarkf1674 He means the original score that plays before that.
@@majorborngusfluunduch8694 Ya I know. That’s part of the actual song dude. Listen to Dio’s hide in the rainbow.

I think you are officially the first person in history to refer to this as a "film".
And dammit, youre correct, sir.
It was dougs own fault, Chappy told him to drop the hades bomb before he landed.
Yeah He got distracted seeing his dad and all.

I read he liked part 8 the best.
I have that song called Hide In the Rainbow-Dio
Saddam Hussein's cameo in this was just awesome!
Except it was based on Muammar Gaddafi and his line of death in the 80s.
Name of the song that started before the cut please?
Dio - Hide In The Rainbow
