      I understand why you feel that way, when I videotaped this footage to begin with, I felt the same way too with most of it. However I did my best to cut as much wasted time out of the video as possible while editing while leaving in certain parts that people have in their own videos because some people don’t like it to be cut out. I hope you understand and I’ll be working on this with future videos!

    VERY cool indeed. If you look close enough you can actually SEE the computer driving the flaps. Minute adjustments are visible, maybe a couple of inches on two little segments out of the whole leading edge. Very cool!

    You literally flew right over my neighborhood! This is a great video! I love plane spotting with my kids we often watch planes make their descent into JFK right in our front yard.
    Never been on a 380 but that was a smooth takeoff.

    • @TravelsOfMK8ITRA1N
      @TravelsOfMK8ITRA1N  6 лет назад +1

      Woah really? That’s awesome! What neighborhood would that be exactly? Same here, I love doing that too watching planes descend into LGA in my backyard. The A380 literally feels like a house, barely any vibration goes into the cabin even during takeoff and you really can’t believe your 35,000 feet in the air at cruising altitude. It feels like a flying house basically. When you get a chance, definitely give it a try! Thank you very much for watching and appreciate your view👍

      It’s pretty awesome. The A380 costs a lot more to operate than the typical Boeing 737s and 777s that American carriers are used to how. Hopefully in the future they find a way how to bring costs down to operate this aircraft for oceanic travel international. Your very welcome and thank you for watching! Travels Of MK8ITRA1N I think the general trend is for airlines to transition to 2 engine aircraft going forward. Sure, the A380’s will be with us for years to come, but keep in mind Airbus will stop producing this plane in 2021. Airlines will try to use an A350 or B777 when they can, meaning for those flights that simply don’t need the sheer capacity the A380 provides. Why fly a 4 engined A380 that is only 60% full when they can cram all those pax onto an A350 or B777? Also, Singapore Airlines ditched their 4 engined A340’s a year or 2 ago in favor of the A350, which they use on the SIN-SFO route, among others.

    Great video man. Hey, I’m just wondering, on the copyright issue, do you post the video then you get a warning from RUclips? Or does RUclips prevent you from posting the video unless you fix it? Or did you know about it and removed it before posting the video?

    • @TravelsOfMK8ITRA1N
      @TravelsOfMK8ITRA1N  4 года назад +1

      Clint Patac Thanks so much; so how it happens is I upload the video privately first when I know it has music that may give me a problem and then RUclips sends me a notice saying that my video contains copyrighted audio and gives me the times in the video where it’s detected, after that I go and mute those portions and I do a reupload. After that it’s all good and RUclips doesn’t flag it anymore. It depends on how long the music plays for and how audible it is in the video that triggers the copyright flag from my experience. Hope this helps my friend!

    Does anyone know if this plane requested/did a push back? The time it took after going backwards and taxiing forward was way too short for a pushback vehicle to have driven away clear of the plane.

    • @idontknowanygoodnames1498
      @idontknowanygoodnames1498 4 года назад

      The pushback tug in this case pulled the aircraft forward to an area more suited for engine start and that would be easier to taxi from. The disconnect is at 5:50

    4 engines are needed to lift up a double level airplane, whether it is a Boeing 747, Boeing 747 large version, or an Airbus 380, everything needs specific power before managing 1 ton of an object!!!

    • @TravelsOfMK8ITRA1N

      Christopher Hess Very interesting, I take it that all 4 engines also have to work in synchronization as well?

    • @airbusthreethirty3416
      @airbusthreethirty3416 5 лет назад

      Ronald McFondle I wouldn’t be surprised if they did cost that much. Somebody told me that the major jet engine makers such as CFM, GE, Pratt and Whitney and Rolls Royce sell the engines for a very, very small profit, but make the money back in expensive Maintenance and Overhaul contracts that cost millions and last 10 to 15 years.

    • @airbusthreethirty3416
      @airbusthreethirty3416 5 лет назад

      Maybe you’re speaking of the “Differential Spoilers” wherein the spoilers go up only on the wing when the ailerons go up. If the pilot moved the joystick the other way, only the ailerons and spoilers on the other wing would move up, while the spoilers on the opposite wing would remain down, flat against the wing. It helps the plane turn better. Obviously the spoilers on *both* wings go up when the plane lands. I hope this helped, though I’m not sure it made any sense.

    i THINK that one large group[ of homogenous residential towers we see are Fred Trump's Veterans Village development. There's about 30 or so buildings in the area, all of them built within 8 years. Maybe it was 10 years but whatever. I really think we're seeing that development as it climbs, just afterward from liftoff. at 22:52 we can see the entire site very well.

    I hate departing from JFK... It's a large super busy airport... You'll always taxi for like an hour... It almost seems like they give you the tour de port before take off.. It seems like they go all the way this way then all the way back,.. Then all the way that way and all the way back ... Round and round and round... Lol I lived in woodhaven NY for 40 plus years.. And flew out of JFK many times... But more so LaGuardia.. PS back in the early 90's my sister worked for twa. Then later American airlines...

    That banking seemed a bit extreme for a plane that size in production. It can clearly handel it but I woukd of lost my lunch on that shit.. pilot needs to take it easy

    • @TravelsOfMK8ITRA1N
      @TravelsOfMK8ITRA1N  6 лет назад +5

      Taking off from NYC usually has a lot of maneuvers like that but inside the cabin, you barely even feel it at all. It looks extreme on camera but in person, you and your lunch would definitely be fine!

      The Airbus flight system wouldn't ever let the plane bank beyond its limits anyway, no worries!

    • @johnpage2488
      @johnpage2488 5 лет назад +1

      It's an Airbus. The banking is computer controlled.

      Travels Of MK8ITRA1N last time I took off out of Kennedy I got 31R on an Alitalia A330. Short roll of under 6k feet even with sold out cabin, pretty quick right turn after liftoff. I have it in my video of flight AZ603. It wasn’t rough piloting although they seemed to be in a hurry to depart. Then again JFK has some of the craziest departure and arrival routes.

    I know 1 thing
    There had to be a layover
    There's no way that jet flew the whole 12 hrs & 30 minutes straight through

    • @TravelsOfMK8ITRA1N
      @TravelsOfMK8ITRA1N  5 лет назад +1

      Jeffrey Alan cook Hard to believe but it was a straight flight from New York to Dubai, no layovers or anything!

    • @robbyrocks3665
