Good lord it’s always one of these people who chime in as the comedy gatekeepers who get to decide who exactly gets to qualify as a comedian. A comedian by definition is someone whose act is to make people laugh. That’s it. The style and approach varies greatly yet doesn’t change if someone is a comedian. Is his primary vocation touring and performing in recent years? Nope. He’s still a comedian he just rips into a lot of different pots. He’s at the stage most comedians want to evolve to: begin doing stand up and branch out into other projects like TV, films, or hosting things. That doesn’t suddenly make those people not comedians as if they can only be a comedian if they refuse to grow past touring only.
