First things first...a shame I did not watch this one live. Both of Ghana's goals were outstanding. I still don't understand why Ronaldo's first goal was allowed to stand. The freekick should have been retaken. Ronaldo's second goal was insane and Bebeto's goal? An absolute work of art. The Ghanaians were extremely naive. This was a game for the ages. I saw just the highlights but it was clear that this was no ordinary football match
This game gave the Brazilians the wrong impression about Africans. The free kick that was taken quickly without the referee's whistle was what destabilized the Ghanaian team. And of course, the last two goals were work of genius that do not happen all the time. HOWEVER, the Brazilians went to the game against Nigeria with that perception that African teams are easy and unlearned. That was a very big mistake. Because we knew the Nigerian team was made up of more than just some loudmouths. They were rather talented, physical and more importantly, determined.
Definitely the Brazilians' freekick goal dismantled the Ghanaian team...They couldn't come back from that cheat ...Good the Nigerians kicked them out ...Nice goal by Ronaldo tho
sp1873, I am curious, did you watch this game at all. I did, I was so quite. I remember that after Felix Aboagye scored, I was thinking that, Oh no, this will charge up the Brazilians, exactly what happened

Capped during Rede Globo's coverage of the 1996 Summer Olympics.
Dida the best goalkeeper 🎉
2:06 Ronaldo not Ronaldinho
Ele sempre foi chamado de Ronaldinho por nós brasileiros
He was called Ronaldinho 'Little Ronaldo' first. Also at 1994 world cup... its on the back of his shirt during this game
