Who else is watching this during quarantine and remembering you sitting on the couch watching the Royals make history.
Me too
Those were the days now we suck
Lol
Yeah
Imagine not being at every 2014 & ‘15 home playoff game. Imagine not being at game 5.
Dude yes. Remember it like it was yesterday. Best baseball year of my life
Royal's 2015....Chiefs 2020... I can die a happy man.
Yep me too only happy woman
For real! 😂
Yessir
Chiefs 2020
Royals 2015
Cardinals 2011
Blues 2019
Every major sport in MO won a championship this centry
Just need KU to win one
RIP Yordono Ventura. Glad he was able to be part of this amazing run.
I’m English. I’m a die-hard Gooner. 47 years old. I started doing shift work in 2001, and got into baseball working nights. I had to pick a team and I picked the Royals coz they were the worst team out there and us Brits love an underdog.
I watched the 100 loss seasons, saw this team grow, died a little bit when the giants edged us the year before. And Despite Arsenal having their best period ever and winning all sorts of shit throughout the early 2000s, this is the best I’ve ever felt watching sport. I was swapping my day shifts for night shifts throughout the playoffs just so I could stream the games. And I was in my 40s behaving like a f’kin fanboy. F’kin tears man.. just the best... and I really don’t mind at all that The Royals are back in 2019 where I found them in 2001, because THIS happened.
Thanks for this video Brad. Must be 20 times I’ve watched it. RIP ACE.
There will never be another team in the history of the game constructed how this one was. Go Royals
KC was electric these 2 years. Everywhere i went blue, and people were so enthusiastic. Thanks, Royals!
Now that the Royals are on the verge of another 100 loss season, the blue has vanished. That's what you call fair weather fans, dum dum!
It was like watching the movie major league in real life.... Except it was the royals and not the Indians
In 2014 I cried tears of sadness. In 2015 I cried tears of joy. The sun comes out tomorrow.
And thanks to 1 of the 2015 royals I got to see a dream come true in 2016 when my favorite team won it all. ( Ben zoborist )
Chris P and in 2019 you cry tears of annoyance 🙄😔
Since ya'll are now on track for another 100 loss season and have become organ donors for the Yankees and Red Sox, ya'll crying tears of despair? LoL
I have never seen any sports team in history like the Royals they were a new breed, they played fun baseball. Everyone on the team contributed to this world series.
I was 10 years old. 19 now, the Royals are 9-4 right now. Let's go do it again boys 💙💙💙💙
Hell yeah they are on fire
Bro Me too

2014 and 2015 Royals were so much fun to watch.
I was at the A's sudden death game in 2014. Best playoff game of all time. I nearly welled up when they won it all though. Never thought I'd see the Royals win b2b pennants and a WS and the Chiefs hosting 4 straight AFCCG and winning a SB in my lifetime let alone in a span of 5yrs.
Most exciting royals team. Those two years were constant comebacks and just fun baseball!
Same here man, hoping one day the Royals can bring another one home. I was absolutely ecstatic when the Chiefs won the Lombardi, but something about that 2015 run was simply magic.
Real one right here. Hardly see Chiefs stuff tied into Royals. I see you sir.
2015 Royals such an underrated Championship team
Sucks we couldn’t afford to keep the whole team. Sold the farm for a 2-3 year run. It was a blast. LoCain,Hoz,Moose,Zobrist,Escobar,Wade,Cueto,Perez,Orlando,Gordon,ACE and the whole gang. The Sandlot boys! They loved each other and they loved playing team baseball, and everyone of them believed in each other. Hope it’s not as long of a WS drought to get back to the big one. They made baseball in KC fun again. Thanks for everything boys!
My Mom passed away that year,1 month before, they won,she was the biggest Royals fan-she is in heaven SMILING !
I am sorry to hear that well hopefully this video cheered you up. I am sorry for your loss.
No T/U,SHE WOULD WATCH THIS VIDEO OVER/AND OVER,GREAT WORK
Dean Routh I’m so sorry for your loss losing a parent I know is hard hopefully she was smiling it was gods plan for her it benifited you in some apparent reason that you may or may not know
I am sorry 🙏
The 2014 & 2015 Kansas City Royals were the greatest comeback teams in playoff history.
I'm a mets fan so I hate to admit this but yeah you are right
Yeah true
I wish they won in 2014 so both chiefs and royals would’ve beaten a San Fran team in finals and than a year later lose to a team that didn’t make the playoffs the year before Bucs and Mets
What a team. This video never gets old :) Reminds me a lot of this year's KC Chiefs with the comebacks and what not and overcoming.
Joe O'Malley I’m part of The Kansas City family. I became a full Chiefs fan ever since the Rams went back to LA! The chiefs are my football team and the Royals are my baseball team when they’re not facing the Cardinals.
@@pmvonhoffer1 I used to like the cards 1985 just ended all of that too bad there was controversy but there was.
God damn, crying at work again.. gotta stop watching this...
RIP ACE...
I went to Game 7 of the 2014 World Series. I’m a Royals fan who grew up in Kansas City. I remember going to work the next day and it was relatively quiet around town. I remember sitting there thinking that the Royals were literally just a big play or two away from changing the entire vibe of the city. The great thing is they came back and won it all the next year, and afterward the city was invigorated. Going to the parade was an experience I’ll never forget. I didn’t fully understand how big of a difference there was between winning and losing the World Series until witnessing those two seasons.
This is the reason people love sports. I'm not by any means a "sports fan." I love the Royals, but I don't watch baseball that much, but watching these games was amazing. The comeback, the excitement, all amazing. It's what people who call sports boring always forget about.
I was also at game 7 in 2014 it broke my heart when we lost, on the way out of the stadium I was sobbing (in middle school at the time) and some dude gave me a bag of confetti and said bring it back next year when we take it all, I did just that.
I actually felt sorry for the Mets and their fans. I had seen the Royals play many times that season and knew they were going to win. Just some kinda magic there.
LOL NOT ME.. Laughed at them like Demonrats in the 2016 election..
No matter what team you root for, if your team hasnt been relevant for so long, winning a championship is worth all the suffering that you went thru for so long. If you have been spoiled with constantly championship appearances or titles, you would not understand. Thank you 2015 kc royals!
chris kim 100% correct.
We will have a better team in a few years... but I still miss Hosmer and moose.... forever Royal💙💛😀
Devin Cooley I miss Cain too
I want Moose, Cain, and Hosmer back!
very true but when people ask hos and moose who they won a WS with #foreverroyal
And Cain
RIP ventura ACE #30
Altuve after game 5: Guys! I just got a crazy idea!
😂💀
Put on my Royals championship shirt this morning during NFL finals games, go figure. And then hearing the news about Ace. Sad day. But will remember this fastball throwing, gritty young Champion this spring when the sun shines a little less. Thanks for the joy you brought to KC fans everywhere! Will be remembered now forever! Rest good our little brother, Yordano "Ace" Ventura. Peace!
I miss him too
I miss 2015 so bad
This is beautiful, I can remember sitting in school while my ELA teacher says “y’all ok if we stop class and watch the Royals game”
This was so magical. The best line ever THE ROYALS HAVE TIED IT IN THE 8TH. I can remember my dad and I jumping around like school girls
That moment always replays in my head it is so iconic for royals fans
My dad was going crazy when in the ninth of game five the Mets made a error and the game was tied
The 2015 Kansas City Royals were the best Royals team ever. I say that with a lot of respect given to the 2014, 1985, 1980, 1977 Royals.
This is one of the best teams in any sports history
I so miss this group!
Yup. Should have stayed together just for the fact that they accomplished this great thing. Forever Royal! ☺
Its because royals dont have money
When Zobrist gets back to back rings
2015- Royals
2016- Cubs
And congrats to him frankly. I'm glad he was able to get the proper recognition for such an amazing feat (2 rings with 2 diff teams back to back) Joe Maddon specifically wanted him and heavily endorsed him to Theo to mate sure and get him before that championship season for cubs. He had success with him in Tampa going to world series and according to Maddon he will be the next phenom "player to manager" right after retirement. I love players like Zobrist who obviously have very high baseball acumens and are very valuable to their teams because even though they won't 'wow' anyone with huge stats in one area but they'll be consistently good in many areas for a while. To be the leadoff hitter on a team like the '16 cubs with those hitters, be extremely productive and especially reliable with the OPS he had and at his age was nothing short of amazing. Can't wait to see the guy manage. I think guys like Cora, Girardi, Matheny, Kapler, Counsel and soon Zobrist is the new wave of young managers fresh out of the league and how the game is played now vs the older type guy who's Benn around to 50 places and in his late 40s before given a chance
"Now Cain coming to the plate. ROYALS LEAD. HE CAN FLY!" Love it
That was an awesome moment!
I watch this almost daily. Greatest day in baseball.
Gonna miss this group of guys made this city proud thank you hosmer, Escobar, moose and Cain
crazy how big there comeback rally's are
King Michael they remind me of the Yankees now
Chiefs sort of did it too. Kansas city is all about comebacks in the post season
From a Toronto fan who watched the Series, One hell of a series and well played
T/U from Kansas !!
Game 4 of the ALDS will be etched in my memory forever. If there was a game that defined the Royals…this game would be high on that list for this team. KEEP THE LINE MOVING.
I was in a restaurant near San Antonio visiting wife’s family keeping track of the game on my phone during that 8th inning. None of us could believe what I kept reporting as the Royals kept hitting and kept scoring runs. I was giddy. They were not. Ha!
probably the best small ball team ever. this was incredible
Will we see this again in our lifetime? Maybe, but it won't be with this special group.
RIP Ace. Goodbye Moose and Hoz and Cain. Thanks Zobrist! It was so much fun.
Well moose is still here for now at least
Oh my gosh. I remember screaming in pure joy when this happened. I didn’t live in Kansas at the time but I grew up in Olathe Kansas. I moved in 2013 because of my parents job and then suffered that loss in 2014 then get redeemed in 2015. It felt so great!!
what are you talking about dude lol the royals are our team, in missouri. youre just a fan.
@@CHIEFS_DYNASTY_ lol
How does it feel now that there sooooo good.
bitch killer u shouldn’t be happy about that anymore. They suck.
STANLEY CUP lol he didn’t know where his own team was from
Braves fan here, but for some reason I remember watching the Royals run that year it was amazing.
This is why running and steals are still important. It puts pressure on the defense and frequently causes them to make mistakes. Eventually some team will realize this again and use it to counter act the HR or K mindset.
This still makes me cry everytime. Here again in a way too say “so long partner” to Hosmer
I’m so happy the 2015 Royals won the World Series however the 2014 Kansas City Royals will forever be my all-time favorite.
@@boogitybear2283 I can get that, all of them deserve a ring honestly it’s so hard
It was one of those moments where everyone continues to ask: Where were you when the Royals brought it back home after 30 years of heartbreak? Where were you when Wade Davis made that final punchout of the 2015 World Series? Where were you when the Royals made it the final 90 feet? And what did you do to celebrate it?
My answer: I was at home, sitting on the couch in a dimly lit living room when they did it. And what I did to celebrate was to simply raise my fists in not just triumph...but relief. Relief in that we had exorcised the demons of defeat and that we had finally-albeit briefly-got to see what it was like from the mountaintop after walking through 30 years of darkness and despair.
So to the boys who helped to bring it back home: Thanks for the memories...we are forever grateful for what you did.
Unbelievable how the 2014 Royals and 2015 Royals put the ball into play, and kept the line moving. I will throw in the stolen bases too.
yeah, but notice they don't show the kc defecits much...
there weren't any, LOL
Hell, in 2014 they weren't supposed to make the WS, even the Postseason, they got really lucky that year.
RIP Valbuena and Ventura
🙏
Where is the documentary? lol The chemistry this team had was unlike anything I've seen before.
HUGE Mets fan here. We had a chance to win EVERY game of the series and blew every one. I guess the 2015 royals were better than the 2015 Mets! Well played and I hope the Mets will win the World Series sometime soon!
We appreciate you being fair
Never the Yankees have always been ontop

I’m watching this in 2021 and this made me tear up a bit. Brings back so many emotions, man. This was such a fun series. Too bad that instead of giving the royals credit, fans only remember this year as the year the Cubs were supposed to win. Thanks, back to the future!
What’s crazy about Back To The Future, the first movie was made in 1985; the year the Royals won their first!
@@boogitybear2283 and even better, the movie was released on the same day game 6 was played. The game where everything looked over for KC but Dane Iorg hit an epic game saving single to score 2 runs.
Me to
Wait wdym by back to the future?
@@Flashynfl in the second movie, they sorta made a prediction that the Cubs would win the World Series, so instead and giving the royals credit, people just remember the Cubs prediction
IVe probably watched this video 10+ times, cant get enough of my Royals. Hopefully I dont have to wait another 30 years to see them win another. Gonna miss this team. I wish we would of never traded Wade Davis, once we had the lead I knew the game was over once he took over. During their run even when we were behind I always had faith they would somehow come back and win the game.
Cory Raider Nation 2017 is our year..... Again. I will ditch school again to watch just like in 2014 & 15. Stupid day playoff games
Yeah, the Davis trade...uhh...didn't like it, and the Cubs won that trade big time. Still, I'm hoping the Royals can channel some 2014 or 2015 magic to at least get a wild card. Although, it is quite a race right now.
It's 2022 and ya'll still sucks. More 100 loss seasons are forthcoming.
Kansas City proud. We will forever love this group of players. Thank you for the memories and tears
The "Kansas City has tied it in the eigth!!!" gives me chills everytime!
I completely agree. After the announcer went bonkers on Corrieas second homer, he redeemed himself with this call. But then Hosmer's homer in the 9th to seal it was another dud. Then he made up for it with Morales's homer 2 days later to seal it.....
Little did they know we were the kings of comebacks
Watching during quarantine this shit gives me chills
I’ve watched this at least 5 times
And that’s ok sir

@@lowden7268This year’s Diamondbacks team in 2023 reminds me so much of this Royals team, the grit they have and the way they play are so similar to each other. Average in home runs but still having their small ball, a mixture of old and new.
The 2014-15 season was the best Royals series ever
Whenever I was 11 the Royals were down by 5 and it was like the bottom of the 7th and I had just gotten into baseball and I said to my dad “the Royals won’t come back, they’re going to lose” and my dad said “you don’t know what the Royals can do” and ever since then I always believed that the Royals would win even if they were down by 10
Its cool how the Royals, Cubs, and Astros followed almost identical paths to their championships
Chairman Meow, that is cool.
Yea :D
Actually the cubs and astros followed the royals

one of the best teams kansas city has ever had. great memories from this royals team
As a Royals fan watching the 2023 team. It is evident that the team has talent like Bobby Witt Jr, Vinnie Pasquantino, MJ Melendez, and more talent in the minors. What these guys lack though is the heart and the desire to win at all costs. The "keep the line moving" mentality, picking up the pitching when it's bad or the pitching picking up the hitting when it's bad. I hope we can get back to consistently winning baseball, especially in an era where small-market teams are always at the deficit of big markets who can buy players.
I have watched this video at least once a week since Wade painted that inside corner. Thank you. This captures the run better than any video out there. Seriously Brad + Team, THANK YOU.
As a rangers fan, always loved when the Royals are doing well. I remember their postseason runs in 2014 and 2015 were so fun to watch. I went to a game at Kaufman in 2017 and the fans were awesome and it was a great ballpark to watch a ballgame.
You know, I feel the same about the Rangers. I was pulling for you guys so much in 2010 and 2011. To this day, I still cannot believe how incredibly lucky the Cardinals were in 2011.
I was only 6 when the royals won the 2015 world series. I still watch this video many times to remind me of how good the royals were. They're 13-8 this year so keep it up Royals. I miss Hosmer so I'm with y'all.🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲

What didn't this team do in their run. Pure BELIEF and magic. One of the MOST entertaining great teams ever ! Great great video BTW, thank you to Hensen Productions.
Looking back on it, I'm glad you beat us. Yeah, it hurt to blow a 4 run lead in the 8th. But it made us hungrier and helped us realize that strikeouts are not created like every other out. I'm not sure we win the World Series last year if not for the Kansas City Royals in 2015.
