It was later explained that it wasn't presented as entertainment, but as a test by the government to see how well their propaganda program works on the masses thru their control of media. I was contemplating getting from the stetson site what they call pure stratoliner Says pure beaver. Have you heard anything good or bad bout it. Is it worth the money
I’ve never seen one, we ordered and they never arrived,covid happened. I’m sure they are worth it, there are many, many quality issues with the stratoliner SE and the Stratoliner premier.. as well as the open road 6x, I’m guessing these came about from folks wanting a higher grade open road or Strat.. I’d say get one if u really want a stratoliner, the other qualities are sort of…problematic

RB King Pick guard is custom, yes, kinda purple , the Benchmark is incredible, a low crown, teardrop, perfect color, texture, amazing quality felt.. nice narrow band, it’s a great,great style, very laid back and stylish.. but we sold the hell out of those in the fall, there’s not a lot of those left.. new Stetson stuff arrives in mid to late September usually, but not sure if that hat is on order.. I’d say, yes. If we have it,it’s VERY nice, very close to the Asher in style,lower crown, slightly bigger brim,and a raw edge, which looks great
Kevin, love your videos!! Question about crown height ... is it common for the top of the hat to touch the top of your head or do I need a taller crown.... or maybe a different crown shape? Thanks
Richard Kepple it depends..if the hat is sitting too high AND touching your head, then it needs the crown to be deepened a touch. Easy modification, take a minute. The way u check is this... put the hat on, see how the sides of the hat relate to the tip of your ears. If it’s really far, like two fingers away.. it’s sitting too high, but if it’s close to your ears,or grazing your ears, then it’s fine. The crown touching your head will only add more stability and keep it on during the wind. In other words, if the hat won’t go down enough BECAUSE of the shallow crown, U have a problem,and u need to deepen the crown slightly w steam. But if the hat I sitting in the right position, low enough that the sweatband is solid around your temple, you’re fine, it’s a non issue... The way u can instantly check this?..pop out the crown totally, pop it out. Now put the hat back on,wit the crown open. Now u can see how the hat REALLY fits, without the crown involved at all. After u open the crown, the hat can be ok,or too big, or too small... many folk don’t know how a hat fits because of the shallow crown interfering, “is it too tight? Loose? I don’t know..” When u open the crown,and try it again, it will be revealed how that hat fits. If everything fits fine that way, good. If not. U can tighten the hat with foam, after u do this...pop the crown back into place, try it again, If it feels like the crown is now obstructing you,and the fit is NOT AS GOOD AS WHEN U TRIED IT OPEN CROWN... Then u need to deepen the crown w steam, It’s easy. Just heat up the roof of the crown w steam, take your hand and rise it slowly from within,as it heats up, push slowly, letting the steam soften it,as it softens it’ll give.. Raise it up. Out the hat back on your head, (making sure it’s not too hot,don’t burn yourself, feel it w your hand first) Once it’s on, and still warm, u can trace around your head and neaten it up. I have 2-3 videos on how to deepen a shallow crown, or deepen the crown on an open road, watch them both before u do the modification, How to deepen

Yes! Thank u.. it's been improving very slowly. Next I'm gonna get a longer adapter so I can clip it on my lapel. It's like 90% warmer,richer sounding when the mic is close up.
Kev.. can you settle an argument for me please.. my wife is always telling me if I keep wearing my hats it will make me go bold.. so is this fact or fiction ? Many thanks
I think it's more hereditary. But I'd say things like stress will make us lose more hair, . Hats only restrict airflow around your Temple and forehead. On the sweatband. Not on top by the scalp..I think you're safe.. try Google though, I'm just a hat salesman, not a doctor 🤠
