I’ve made this dish many times in the past 6 months. It’s exactly like Mandy described: it is fast, delicious, easy, and requires only ingredients already in a person’s pantry. Thank you again for another fabulous dish!
You're so friendly and happy. Whenever I am purging my subscriptions of channels I really don't watch, yours is never on the chopping block. Happy New Year, Mandy!
Yesterday I tried your recipe for chicken fried rice, it came out superb. It tasted exactly as from my favorite Chinese restaurant. Thank you for this glass noodle recipe. I have been buying all the spices and sauces and noodles you recommend...I still have two boxes I haven't unpacked yet...lots of different types of noodles. I tried black vinegar, and cooking wine you mentioned. And now I see what the difference is between light and dark soy sauce..especially if they're actually Chinese imports. SO Wonderful! Thank you....for making me able to cook the food I love.
I made this tonight! Stopped at my favorite Asian market in Plano, TX and they had everything I needed. So quick and EZ! Sooo, good too! Mandy is a great teacher!
Tried this recipe today and it was so good. Got all the listed ingredients from a local ethic supermarket, followed your instructions to the letter and this was the best authentic tasting Asian recipe I’ve even made. Thanks so much for this recipe.
This is now the 3rd recipe I’ve cooked from “Souped Up” and I can honestly say, this is THE BEST Asian food I’ve ever eaten. THE BEST!!! Also the first time I played with the recipe a bit, to suit my taste. Just can’t say enough about this young lady’s talent as a chef, and teacher. Can’t wait for recipe #4. Will make her lo mein and I’m sure it will be FANTASTIC!
I always wondered how to prepare the glass noodles! And nice to know I can make this with the bell peppers. Awesome recipe and I will be making this. Thank you so much!
Even when I don’t think I have any interest in the dish you are preparing on any given week, I STILL watch because I am so interested in HOW easy you make Chinese cooking appear. I am such a huge fan and your positive friendly attitude makes my week. Thank you so much. BTW. This dish looks absolutely delicious!!!
You are always my hero! When you share these wonderful recipes so much pleasurable food options become available! I hope your other business ventures MUCH SUCCESS, especially in this new year!!! Love Ya!!!
Young lady, this is a very nice recipe, being a 56 yr. old Irishman from rural Kentucky, i do not get the opportunity to eat very much asian food, but this looks delicious. We waste nothing here, & my fave part of the hog/pig are the cheeks, i do not know the meat to fat ratio,( if there is to much fat for you, can always drain some or sop up with paper towels out of the pan/wok using tongs) but if you have never tried them, they are delicious. I ground them with my meat grinder. I think you have a very promising career in the food sector/industry. God Bless you & yours
Thank you for this quick, tasty recipe. I used to think ants in trees was boring until i encountered the Sichuan ma la version with doban jiang. Now i make this a lot!
This is on my list to make now. I got your wok for Christmas! I have already seasoned it. I appreciate you. I have to make everything gluten free for me, so with some simple brand substitutes, I have enjoyed all your recipes so far! Happy New Year!

I love your channel. I'm ready to start trying authentic foods on your channel that I've never had. I'm so glad I found your channel. I'm lucky to have three really good Asian grocery stores close by.
I will be trying this maybe today. I am lucky enough to have a few really well stocked Asian markets near me. I have seen glass noodles and wondered how to use them. I will do a follow up post to let You know if the dish is a hit or a miss with my Family. I am betting it will be a huge hit. Thank You for all of Your post we have enjoyed every recipe we have tried from you.
I am new to your channel and I like it a lot. I made this dish today (May 31, 2020) . my wife and I loved it. I will be trying the chicken fried rice dish (I will add Shrimp instead) tomorrow. I am also going to try the mongolian beef recipes as well. I purchased the Wok and I love it. I reall like the brown/burgunday color that the wok gets after it is seasoned. Keep the videos coming. Thanks
Hi Mandy, I love your channel thank you so much for your hard work. Could you share a recipe to make Dou Ban Jian or a substitute or something similar ( with other beans maybe or something like that) cause it always contains wheat and I can't eat it. So almost all the nice spicy recipes I need to skip cause of the Dou Ban Jian. Greetings
Thank-you, once again, Mandy for another DELICIOUS recipe! Your hard work brings joy to so many of your followers who love cooking and preparing interesting dishes! I hope this is your Best Year ever!!
Ants are too acidic. Ground beef works (actually some Chinese recipes use 1/2 pork & 1/2 beef). How could it possibly taste bad with ground beef or shrimp?
Happy New Year! We want to eat healthy this year, and I remembered seeing some of your videos. So, I've hit subscribe, and I look forward to trying many of your recipes!
You can reduce the Soaking Time by put the Noodles in hot boling water for 3 Minutes so are no longer stiff and you can cut them , than cool them down on a sieve with cold water until cold and rinced ad a dab of neutral oil to prevent sticking and the rest like recipie
Oh my. This is easy and tasty. I can’t wait to use the proper noodles. The bihon worked, but I’m sure it will be even better with the Ming bean ones. I usually have some, I was just out and shops were closed for the holiday.
Quick and easy. I just made a fried scallions with ground pork. This seems a bit more flavorful because of the added ingredients and aromatics. I’m going to try this one.
Hi Mandy... could you do a video on how to cook different types of asian noodles? I’ve bought different kinds and sometimes they come out perfect all the times they come out gummy and mushy. Sometimes my boiling time is off or I don’t know if I should just soak them in hot water. Can you help? Thank you😄 P.S. Should I sought the water like regular pasta?
That is a nice looking noodle dish and I have to try it in my wok and see how it turns out. I wish you and your family a Happy New Year and wish you all the best in this new year.
I would love to have your 1 burner stove and your frying pan. I don't want to turn on my entire stove to cook something small. Recipe looks great. I'll try it tomorrow
Hi Mandy Is there a substitute for Dou Ban Jiang s this contains wheat and i am gluten intolerant. I have the gluten free sauces for the other sauces you have mentioned in your recipe. I noticed you use Dou Ban Jiang in other recipies too. Please let me know. Thank you

I cooked it yesterday. Thank you so much. It was a success! We ate everything right away, no leftovers at all 🌺🌺🌺

I made your glass noodles today. I used green and red bell peppers instead of chillies. It turned out very very delicious. It cooked up so smoothly.

Ewwww! So, it's something climbing trees now, not ants. Cicadas climbing trees? You could use actual ants I guess.
Ants are too acidic. Ground beef works (actually some Chinese recipes use 1/2 pork & 1/2 beef). How could it possibly taste bad with ground beef or shrimp?
Thanks, I love glass noodles, but struggle to cook them properly. Definitely, will try this soon! Happy 2020!
